- In this video I go in-depth on my experience with the Chihiros Vivid II light. The main goal of this review is to give you an idea of what results can be expected with these amazing lights. I also talk about the settings I use for my tank as well as how to adjust your Chihiros light to achieve the results you want in your planted tank.

Definitely the best lights in the market hands down!
For sure! Didnt want to be too biased because theres a couple out there that I havent seen in action
Ramp times are good for the fish. They don't have eyelids. Fewer of them end up crispy on the carpet when they don't suddenly get blasted with strong light every morning.
Nice video Kalem!
Thank you! 😁😁
Great video! Thanks for your content, it has helped me a lot ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Makes me super happy to hear that 😁
Appreciating the science behind your videos! Great job! By the way, I was wondering if you can clarify something for me. In the video about red plants you mentioned plants using more of the blue spectrum. But in this video you settings seem to be more red. If I just want to help the plant become red and not just look red visually, what will the light settings be?
So the blue spectrum is used for blue/purple plants like buce. For it to actually become more red Its all about the strength of the light. I would still use a high amount of red spectrum but add more blue and green light so that the other plants in the tank look the colour they are supposed to as well. That make sense?
ensure your red plants have proper nutrients, in particular iron.
@@bretthousman8317 Iron is a myth for the redness as has been covered by Kalem and others..
Hello, I have a basin measuring 60 * 40 * 40 cm, what are the color settings for it? I will grow Rotala rotundifolia sp 'Green', Rotala rotundifolia 'H'ra and Elocharis acicularis mini, thank you.
I forget the exact light settings but they should be in the video
Hi Kalem, I found your video whilst researching the vivid ii light for my bucephalandra tank and was wondering if you have had any problems with it. Nice 2011 ghost btw! I have some upper ghost and 2015 ghost but the 2011 is so expensive here I haven't bought any... Yet : )
Honestly dont have any problems with it at all. Thought hard for 5 or 10 minutes and cant really think of anything 😅
@@KalemsFishtanks Good to hear 👍
How much is your power percentage and color temp settings ? Thanks
Dont remember the power % but currently its 100% blue and red and 60% green or light blue
how are you friend i like your aquarium
what configuration do you have in your living
regards!
If you mean lighting. It was 100 red 60 green and 80 blue
@@KalemsFishtanks thanks friend!
My doubt is how they make it really look white and take out the red colors because in your video the lighting is seen at 6500k
how to have 100 red and not make the aquarium not natural in colour
All about balancing it with the blues and greens
Looks a lot different than other lights to my eyes
It definitely does very bright and the red leds are very strong!
Learn to use standard measures!!! Thumb down
What do you mean by standard measures the metric system???
Adrian, learn to use standard manners!!!
