I love Ultimate, but I hate how much emphasis is put on "non-contact" There are alot of people that hear that and ultimate immediately loses credibility.
Improve this video a bit by explaining some of the additional benefits of the sport. -Potential for gender mixed play. -Requires very little setup. -Few injuries, lots of cardio. -Easy to learn difficult to master. -A disc is a much more elegant tool than a ball and can fly in much more interesting ways (insert Obi Wan Kenobi meme UNCIVILIZED) -Spirit of the Game -Etc.
There already is gender-mixed play, just not all the times since it's mainly males who play as of now, but Ultimate is growing, so I'm sure more will come 😊
I’ve never understood how the “no running” part works. Like clearly you have to be able to run a little with it since you can catch it at a full sprint. How do they get around that?
There isn't an exact number of steps after catching a disc running at full speed, you just have to stop as comfortably as you can. Then when you stop, you have one pivot foot (like in Basketball) to throw the ball.
@@tyrannosaurusreptiles Rules state you cannot run with the disc. If you're running when you catch it, you must stop ASAP. If your momentum carries you into the end zone you must back up to the goal line and then establish a pivot foot.
No one ever signs them. The only teams that I know of to sign them were Nashville (before it folded) and charlotte (also before it folded). They just aren't the better choice because of smaller size and lower athleticism.
One of the most underrated sports of all time
Facts 👍
Better than the crap NFL

Thanks for this. I’m studying to get certified as a PE teacher and I had no clue what this sport even was. 😢

It’s like, partial contact lol
@@bobthepancake2870more so basketball contact in our league.
I always like to say "non-impact" instead of contact

Good points for recreational players, but this is promoting AUDL where they don't apply as much.

Okay the rules are great but what we all need is an in depth explanation of what the proper way to play like how to be good
im 60 seconds 😂
this game definitely 🔥
The ultimate sport
Love it! But next time please use shakier, closer shots cause I could still kinda tell what was happening
(I’m joking, chill out)
Is the best fucking sport ever, Milwaukee ultimate league represent!!!
i can say for a fact ultimate is definitely not non contact
It can be as physical as basketball.
It’s no non contact. You just can’t tackle

I don't know the exact wording of the rule but you're allowed to take steps to come to a complete stop

audl redefined the term "non contact"😢😢
10 seconds*
In most ultimate, yes, but not in the AUDL. They also have other rules, such as double coverage on the mark being allowed.
@@erikb.8630 oh weird
Can someone explain O-line and D-line difference and what they do?
O-line works to score, D-line, works to take the disc from the opposing O-line.
Can you take any steps when you have the frisbee?
Only until you stop (ASAP), then you plant a pivot foot like in basketball.
@@rsteeb Ok, Thanks!
@@rsteeb Why do you want to stop ASAP?

Flatball!
Isnt it 10 seconds
AUDL has some different rules to fit with their more skilled players, such as double teams allowed on marking and lower stall counts
10 seconds not 7
Audl has different rules than USA ultimate and club leagues
Get rid of the integrity rule
Where are the women?
There are women leagues and coed leagues all over. This is like asking why there arent women in the nfl, mlb, or nba. They have thier own divisions.
i play ultimate and trust me i get all the hoes so

There is a women's professional ultimate called the Premier Ultimate League. I highly recommend. Women and Non-binary players are included.
horizontal!
This is AUDL rules no one plays with these rules
10 sec
This is AUDL, so it is 8
Doesn’t matter how you dress it up, its still Frisbee.
I look forward to marking you :)
