Ben is lefty and needs to learn from Rafa if he wants to win slams. Mental toughness and the never-say-die attitude of Rafa gave him lots of victories despite being heavy framed and the underdog in skills as compared to Roger, Novak and others.
Sinner is great one thats why, shelton is a combination of roger and nadal good in backhand and left handed like nadal.. long way to go for his journey! What a nice good game!🎉❤
I don't know what to think of Ben Shelton. He has an amazing serve and it takes him a long way. But his shot selection is highly questionable and his forehand is prone to mistakes. It also looks like he doesn't fully trust his backhand because he pulls out these defensive slice shots when he could take two more quick steps and fire a backhand. Not my favorite American player, but I wish him the best.
I watch too many players hitting the ball straight back to opponents and serving straight to opponents when the main aim of tennis is the opposite. Unnecessary Long rallies which should have been won from the serve or from the return or much earlier in the game. That's logical.. this is not Nothing personal with these two players because it seems this way of playing has become the norm. Baseline play. Freestyle so much better my personal favorite

Not a big surprise....Sinner is a bit of a monster right now and aside from the serves, he has a huge tactical advantage over Shelton. Hopefully Ben and his team can can come up with a few things to get him ready for the next stage, IF he is going to compete with Sinner and Alcaraz regularly. If Zverev beats Sinner, which I doubt, then I would certainly throw his name in there with the other two.
