I just recently realized a part of this tune can be heard in Deltarune (most notably in the song "The Chase"). Who wants to bet Toby will repurpose the entire song into the game the same way he did Megalovania?
I mean, there are nods to this song in several of his songs, especially in Deltarune. In Undertale, there was little bit of it in Amalgam's opening theme, and in Deltarune, there was The Chase closely mirroring Nightmare Knight's first half, and The Legend almost exactly mirroring the second half of the song. It's not exact, but Toby's most popular song, Megalovania, uses one of his oldest pieces, so I would put my money on this theme returning in at least a somewhat big capacity. I mean, it already kinda has, and we know how much Toby likes using leitmotifs as storytelling devices.
Don't think I didn't notice that Kirby sound font and the nightmare wizard theme reference in there. Great remix, from the beginning of the song I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is

I actually I am not sure why I search this theme had a very battle tone from another remixers as if you feel having a final boss of your life through the cosmos or his place from the original. Still, your remix is quite impressive, I can't say so much about the details because I just let the music flow without care so much how good, bad, or variant it can be. Very good work! I still love it!
So basically the webcomic was uploaded and Toby Fox thought it would be a good idea to make a theme that would fit Nightmare Knight. This is probably not canon, it's just a cool theme.
