Hello NurseNancy, I Will Be On The Horizon Jan 11th. My Question Is How Long Was The Bus Ride From Your Hotel To The Boat. We Are At The Same Hotel. And We Also Have Faster To The Fun

Off to a great start ladies! Nice for people to see a full embarkation process from start to finish not many people show that part. Embarkation day is always so exciting! I really enjoyed the Port of Miami when we sailed from there.
Thank you #1 Mama! When I researched our trips, I couldn't get many glimpses inside the actual port, so I like to show as much as I'm allowed to when going onto a ship (even got a little scolding for videoing inside the port!) I hope this helps others feel like they might know what to expect or even like they are "coming along with us" on our vacation. That port of Miami is my favorite one thus far - it is spacious and lovely, and sailing out of Miami with the beach and the big city...it really is amazing! Sure appreciate your watching the vlogs and I'm always thrilled to see your comments here!!💗

Hi Pam!! It is a very nice ship; I feel like it's home now that I've been one her 3 cruises! It didn't hit me till later that we won't be back on her (for a little while at least). I definitely didn't explore every nook and cranny since it's such a big ship. I think the layout is pretty easy to navigate, especially with the Atrium being a central hub. Right? There is so many food selections on a cruise! I love the choices of food, but it can be a little overwhelming. I like to try a little of everything to see what is tasty; most of it is yummy. And the bonus is that they prepare it for me (I don't have to cook or clean on a cruise!!) Thanks for watching and commenting Steve!

I agree!! I actually think that I didn't realize in debarking the ship that we actually probably won't sail on her again...she was starting to feel like home to us! We had such a very special time with our group and you guys were amazing and such fun!! Thank you for the comment (although it makes me homesick for our group cruise again!!) I am 3 hrs to Miami, 3 hrs to Jacksonville, 1 hr to Port Canaveral, 2 hrs to Ft Lauderdale, 3 hrs to Tampa...although I have cruise goals I want to take that won't be that easy...lol Drive safe and enjoy your cruise!!!

Loved the video, sorry to hear you left your sweat shirt. My husband left his fleece last year at our hotel before our Horizon cruise. Hope you and your daughter have a great trip.
That sweatshirt was one of my favorites (it had an anchor on it) but it wasn't worth taking a taxi back to the hotel, so it was left behind...hopefully it will find a home with someone who needs it! That's what happened when I was rushing around trying to get that shuttle to the port! I bet you have wonderful memories on your cruise - what did you think of the Horizon? @@NauticalNurseNancy We called the hotel where we were staying to see if anyone could mail it to us, but they couldnt find it in our room. Buy yourself a nice souvenir sweat shirt at a port.

Miami is my favorite port!

Gotta love the mother/daughter cruise. You two are adorable together. I watched your vlogs so far and I saw on Instagram some goodies you sent tp other vloggers. You are a kind and giving person. How do to find the time to work, be a wife and mother and bake, craft, etc and watch all these vloggers? I have whittled down pretty much to two channels. Great fun tho, It looks like you love the Horizon since you have been on it a few times. I adored that ship. Booked it again for 2021, ABC islands. Cant wait to go back. Sad that the first few. Mardi Gras cruises were cancelled.
You are so sweet Ada! Yes, I enjoyed sending out a lot of goodies! I am very blessed to only work part time, although I have leadership roles in my work that takes me up to full time work sometimes. I also enjoy crafting while watching vlogs, and love giving away gifts when possible. I am kind of addicted with watching many cruise vloggers, but cannot keep up with all of it as much as I'd like. I still enjoy doing what I can! I'm definitely disappointed about the Mardi Gras cancellation. We LOVED the Horizon and would sail on her again in a heartbeat! I enjoy your comments and I'm happy to tell you my opinion on your question. We have only sailed on Carnival thus far, and we enjoy it very much. In the future, we have cruises booked on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian cruise lines and we are looking forward to what those bring; I know there are a ton of people who like them both.
We enjoyed the Carnival Horizon a TON, and we count the Carnival Breeze as our favorite ship thus far. I think it really matters what you are looking for on your cruise vacation. I loved all the options that these ships offer, but I know of many who like the smaller ships as well. We are truly beginners in this journey of cruising, since I've only taken 6 cruises and Anthony has done 5 thus far. But that gives us a bit of a "fresh" perspective for those looking at taking a cruise.

Many of the processes they have changed to make it so fast to get onto the cruise ship!!
Enjoying the videos. The food looks delicious. Always curious how the food compares from cruise line to cruise. Was the gelato included or a separate fee?
For now, gelato is included on all of the Vista class ships; it is right there on the side of Lido buffet. I think Carnival did a great job with breaking the buffet lines up into several different stations; we didn't have lines with that process and just went to grab the food and take it off to a table to eat. We find the buffet a very good option when you are looking for variety and fast dining, so we used it often for our lunch. I am blown away by how many dining options there are on the cruise ships! We bought faster to the fun also, going in March, but our boarding time isn't til 12:30-1:00pm. Are faster to the fun ppl allowed to board sooner ?? Or do I still have to wait for my boarding time ?
When you have FTTF, you are priority so you are allowed to board the ship as soon after the weddings, diamond & platinum cruises are on; usually we try to get to the port around 9:30 or 10am and are on the ship by 11:15-11:30 am. It all depends on when they allow the first people to start boarding, and that is dependent on the prior cruise passengers debarking in a timely fashion. I hope this helps! We LOVE having FTTF!! Don't mind the doors being shut to get to your cabin - just enter and tell the steward that you have FTTF! They should have your cabin ready right away.

What happened to the little girl on the escalator? Did you run across them later in the cruise?
Unfortunately we didn’t. She seemed to be okay, but it’s a rough way to start a cruise vacation! The workers should have been watch KC to make sure the area at the top of the escalator was cleared before sending more people through. The reason why there were people not able to move at the top of the escalator was because the final security check had backed up severely. Thank you for your amazing concern for this poor little girl and her family! ❤️

We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites, Airport North in Miami. It was very pleasant and we appreciated the included shuttle to the cruise port! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!❤️

I was on a B2B for that one, so I think I had 3 suitcases total...but I am aiming to pack into one large suitcase, a carry-on size suitcase and a backpack nowadays. Thanks for watching this video!!
