I have a question, do you use the ModMic on the PS4 ? If yes, is it working well on it ?
OH YEAH - also to use a compressor in-line -- or at least a peak limiter. But that only works with a wired mic to an interface / mixer that has one.

I own the modmic 5 and its useless.
Too much static problems and distrotion even bought an DAC/soundcard for 100$ but it didnt help.
So i think the wireless option is better since you dont have a cable that give you static problems?!
My PS4 says that this mic isn’t recognizable? Do I have to directly connect it or is there an issue with the dongle
it shows up as a USB mic on PS4. If you dont see it then try a different USB port or unplugging and plugging it back in

Just a note that the strategy for best voice recording is to mic very very close, with minimal mic GAIN -- sounds like you already knew that but forgot! ALSO, that's the ONLY way to really cut background noise - other than an isolation booth or something.
I can't put it any closer without it easily distorting
Youll get clipping artifacts when u do that regularly, even when you move it far away from your mouth

hey everyone im new to the reddit I don't exactly know how it works but have a question I need answered as I cut find anything on RUclips or google. okay so I bought an xbox and I ordered the Beyerdynamic DT 990 pros with the creative cloud soundblaster x g6 amp/dac and a antlion wireless mod mic.i heard that xbox doesn't support antlion modmics but with I plug my sandblaster x g6 into my xbox and have the wireless usb into an adapter that goes into the mic jack on the sound baster x g6 . would that work? as I have bought everything already and later found out its not compatible but will it work that way since the antlion wireless mod mid will be plugged into the amp/dac not the xbox. would that then make it compatible? please ny input would greatly help
Connect your G6 via 'optical in' to your Xbox and get a wired Modmic. I highly doubt what you're trying to do is going to work
