So pleased you’ve been able to add some new books to your shelves! I’ve added The Book of Doors and Dallergut Dept Store to my holds. My next read in Lady Trent is the Labyrinth of Drakes and I hope I will like it more than book 3, which I didn’t like as much as the first 2. Characters are good, plot felt a bit choppy and I’m finding myself disappointed that Brennan is relying on essentially the same type of underlying situation to drive books. I would be good with something built around characters and the dragons only.
You'll have to let me know what you think when you get to them! I hope you love them both! I do think that book 3 in the Lady Trent series was my least favorite. I can't choose between the Tropic of Serpents and The Labyrinth of Drakes as my favorite in the series. I hope you find some more originality in the storyline.
The Book of Doors looks really nice. (I'm read about 80% audio so don't usually see the actual physical books). I have Dallergut on my list, but what you said about it makes me want to read it even more. It looks so small, though. I'm impressed you've read a good chunk of them. I'm guilty of buying kindle deals but taking an age to get around to most of them. Speaking of which, I recently picked up The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers, First Lie Wins, Talonsister and The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches.
I'm big on my audio listens as well. My husband calls my physical books shelf trophies, because many of them I didn't read physically. 🤣 I think you will enjoy Dallergut. It was such a fun experience, very thoughtful. I do have more books on my kindle that I need to read. If I remember correctly I have about 15 more books on Kindle that I haven't read (but we won't talk about those). Talonsister is on my list! The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches was very cute and the author has a new book coming out early next year. I'm definitely going to be picking it up (A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping). You will have to let me know what you think of The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers and First Lie Wins.
I'm sorry! No horror on this haul, but I haven't hit my spooky groove yet. I plan on reading a lot more horror in the months to come, so hopefully I will want to add some of those to my collection! I hope you love Legends and Lattes Cliff! How fun!

📚 I have been buying quite a few books in the last couple of months but my most recent buy is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. I managed to find one without the crying man on the cover thank goodness as that cover was NOT enticing at all. I have the first book in the Lady Trent series but I have not read it yet.
