Beautiful song, but it always makes me very sad. Maybe because it reminds of highschool. Back when I still had a few shreds of hope left.
Reminds me of my first love, it definitely pulls on the heartstrings. I believe there is always hope, though. Life is a rollercoaster, you'll have your highs and lows. I am sorry for whatever you are going through, I've felt hopeless and defeated many times, and no doubt will feel that way again. But I guess all I'm saying is this; happiness, fulfillment, and contentment can come when you least expect if you can remain open to appreciate it when it does appear. Try to find hope, it can carry you through until your next rise.
@@PyroJoe1 I genuinely do appreciate the time and effort you put into writing those words to me, but I don't think it's possible for me to ever have the kind of optimism regarding life that I once did. I still find happiness in isolated moments, but overall, my range of possible futures has shrunken quite dramatically. Perhaps my youthful optimism was delusional the whole time. Either way, it's gone.

@@flyingllama87 Not sure how you know, but I am indeed a HUGE fan of Lorn. His music is so uniquely atmospheric. The vibe is unlike anything I've ever heard anywhere else. Tracks like Sega Sunset?! I can hardly find the words to describe how that song makes me feel. It's dark, but not morbid, mysterious, vast, solemn, archetypal, like the monolith from Kubrick's 2001 perhaps... Whatever it is, I'd happily drown in it.
I've been trying to learn the parts on the original recording and I came to this karaoke to see if it was mixed better. And indeed I can hear both guitar parts very clearly. Thank you thank you thank you. You've made this 62 year old lady have an easier job of learning!!!❤

Don't know the person offline. Great song though. I don't know where that's coming from either I am not interested in someone to do with lip Gallagher I'm sorry but no hopefully a friend. Sad face emoji indeed. Doug Hopkins, the writer of this song committed suicide a few months before this album went gold. It’s a very sad story.
@@davidmiller571I always loved this song, but for some reason, it always made me terribly sad. This was before I ever knew the story of the guy who wrote it.

Think is the wrong lyric.
It was originally written “drink” but the band was super sick of everything being about his drinking all the time so he changed it to “think”on the recording. Later the record company kicked him out of the band and he killed himself. The the album went gold without him a couple months before his suicide.
