That was a lot of gravel! I like that you have a whole array of drainage ideas to tailor each job and you're not just a one-trick pony, like "everyone gets french drains" or something like that lol. I'm excited for part 2 = )

just a thought. if you attached some steel cable to each of those wheelbarrows and ran them back towards the handles, you wouldn't have to walk around to pick them up every time you dump. just pull the cable back. nice work as always.

You are right Lee. We've talked about that, but we never got around to it. Thank you, Tom

in E.U. countries in Europe and in U.K., no property can discharge its rainwater from roof or garden onto the public highway.
Therefore, new driveways have to be permeable to soak up rain, and roof water has to go to either a natural stream, storm drain or the property’s own soak away. Very much what you do when towns prohibit discharge to the street.

I like your videos, I like your drainage solutions, but I will never understand some of these cities not allowing water to the street.

Hi Pete, Thank you for your nice comment. Our job used to be a lot easier, but now every town has their own rules. This is a federal law that NJ started enforcing a few years ago. I did a google search and here is the result - New Jersey's NJPDES Statewide Stormwater Permitting Program was established pursuant to the 1987 amendments to the Clean Water Act (CWA). Congress added Section 402(p) to the CWA in 1987 to establish a comprehensive framework for addressing certain stormwater discharges to surface waters. Thanks again and have a great week, Tom

I assume no basement otherwise you are sending a lot of water to the foundation.

These are shore houses Jason. Just a slab, no basement. We do the front of this house here if you’re interested -

I'am a person who worked outside or inside, not a office type. Fixed commercial a/c AME avionics and built homes as a hobby so my mind does not to be distracted to do A1 work. Silence is not golden when watching as back round sounds is as natural as when you are working i'm 78 and retired @@tyelandscapinganddrainage

Thank you for the feedback guy. We did put this patio through rigorous testing including a buoyancy and aerodynamics test. It passed and has been finished for about a month now. Thank you again for voicing your concerns and have a great week, Tom
