Thank you for explaining these fun ideas! I’m leaving this hint for myself because even though I have written this down in multiple places…I always forget or can’t find the paper and then I search for this section of this video every year. 😅 Maybe I will remember that I left myself a comment 🤣 Jingle Bell Game: 5 boxes 42 bells: 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 Take a pic of the box order to use as your key. Time each person to see who can do it the fastest. Have fun! 😍🤶🎄
We do this too, and it really elevates the spirit of the day. We also do a $20 adult gift exchange where we play the game where you can steal it and that's always fun. The kids get gifts from the grandparents. And somehow, we've made a dance party the grand finale of our family Christmas. It's always a BLAST! Oh - and we order food from a restaurant, so no one has to stress out about making food and everyone just gets to enjoy each others company!
Sarah Dahl - the gift stealing game is a scream and mixes it up when people don’t know each other well at parties. We usually bring consumables - last year my mom stole a jar of Dijon mustard from me! Have a wonderful holiday season.
We played most of the games last night. There was lots of laughter. Especially when we realized that I sent our daughter to Dollar Tree for 8 sets of chopsticks and received 8 packages of chap stick! Thank you!
We played some of your suggested games this year at Christmas (2019) and my family LOVED it!! I also picked up Dollar Tree 48 piece puzzles and two at a time, people raced to complete them. I gave points for everyone - ie: 5 points for the best time, 4 points for the next best time, etc. Those who didn't want to complete puzzles, raced to put together dollar tree legos toys. We added up points at the end of all games and I had dollar tree prizes for everyone! Grand prize winner got a Starbucks gift card.....so much fun!
I've been thinking of experiences gifts for my sister and her family. This video came up at the perfect time. I've collected the game supplies, which I will put in a box along with candy and popcorn. I will also include the link to this video, and they can have a wonderful family night. Thanks, Dawn, for sharing!
We're playing these tomorrow night with the youth at our church for our Christmas party. Thank you for doing all the work of compiling the games and making a list of supplies. 😁👍❤️
YES, those were the greatest! Although the kids liked eating the marshmallows (even though there was a counter full of treats) so they might have said those were their favorites ;)
I was gnna say the partner giftwrap would be fun blindfolded one person guides their teammate that is blindfolded but the cutting part might be hard so maybe have the piece cut to size beforehand to eliminate the need for scissors from the game
I'm in charge of games at work. Thanks for the great ideas! I will be using the chopstick/marshmallow game this week. I can only do these on breaks so I don't have much time so these minute to win it games are perfect.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant!! Roll on Christmas! Thank you so much for sharing this. As strange as this year has become let's keep the spirit of Christmas alive :)
Thank you so much. It really wasn't that hard to jot down notes lol. Just an added note we've always been Minimalist about our Christmas focusing on Christ's birth and life, but not very good at adding in fun instead of the presents. These games will add some fun!! Like you our children receive plenty from others. This year as three of our oldest are now married, two with new babies and the other expecting their first and six still in our home, we've decided to have a make it and take it craft for the gals instead of a gift exchange and the guys will have a project as well. That way we get to spend time together doing something creative, productive and memorable. I'm hoping it goes well and what we (the gals) produce is actually cute!😁 We're making decorative pillows made of drop cloth which my center child (as she prefers to be called) so kindly sewed together for me. They will have the choice of painting words like Joy to the World or ironing on some kind of design like fir trees made of plaid using Wonder Under. Anyway just thought you might like to hear about our plans. I've so enjoyed your videos and tips. I'm having so much fun unloading unused items that are making my life noisy.🤗. Everyone likes the less cluttered clean crisp look. May you have a blessed Christ filled holiday season. Blessings, NancyLisa 😊
I made the jinglebell boxes. Thank you for the idea. My nephew is coming to stay with us for the holiday for a week. I know he will enjoy playing, he is 14. Getting the mini marshmallows tomorrow! Have a great Christmas!
We play fishbowl with family on Christmas or New Years. Everyone writes down a charade - usually Christmas themed (I.e. reindeer, elf, frosty the Snowman) - and we all put them in a bowl. Divide into 2 teams. Get as many clues guessed in one minute. Then the next teams turn. Until all the clues are guessed. Keep your score and then put them back in the bowl for the next round. Round 1- describe the word and have your team guess Round 2 - act them out/charades Round 3 - you only get to give a one word clue! Round 4 (optional) - you get one pose! This is super fun and since you hear the same words in the next rounds it makes for great and creative ways to get your team to guess. So many laughs!
I love this! We always have holiday parties for our nieces and nephews and now our daughter as well but she’s still too young to participate.. I’ll be stealing some of these ideas for sure!
All games sounds like fun and i cant wait to try them with my family on Christmas..for the jingle bells how much time does each person has to figure it out before moving on to the next person.
We did those 2 years ago. We paired up in two teams and played marothon of those games. Ended up with prizes. 😊 I will never forget it 🤭 I wish you could make similar video again, but before christmas .. 😊
We always do a Christmas Eve party. These look so fun we are definitely going to incorporate these into Christmas this year. My oldest son is in college I think this would be fun to do with his friends when they come over also. 💜💜💜 Thanks for this idea.
Any new fun games for this year 2021!!???? Our family loved these games last year just wondering do I repeat or has Dawn the pro come up with more yet????? Pls share
Such a lovely video! Wonderful games I'm definitely going to try these with my family. When my daughter is old enough to understand better I'm sure these games would be a huge hit with her 😁love your channel. Merry Christmas from the UK 🎄💜
Great video the only problem is every year your have to come up with better and better games. The first years it is ok and then as time goes on it get harder and harder. I know because I have done this at the 4th of July
