I’m planning on buying it from my boss soon here and I want to do all the stuff u did to theirs especially the bumper ! I also want to make it a 6 speed

I’m leaning towards the bigger truck because I can put a sleeper on it and I can tow comfortably. What do you think? How many more mpg’s do these burn empty? Thanks
A lot, I got sick at the end which slowed me down but I had to put roughly 4 days in to fix and wire everything. Also had to make sure all my wiring was super clean and away from the dog house so a mechanic can service the engine easily. The good thing is fabrication was little to none so I could focus on functionality and durability which is what the project really needed focus on.
Anthony J350 I would sure like to know what Bilstein shocks you installed as I am having a hard time finding the right info to put new shocks on my 2007 C5500 Topkick C5E044 4x4? Looks like nice work!
Thanks, it's my buddy's truck. They were the Bilstein 4600s. Have you tried search for them on Rockauto.com? They usually have good descriptions for applications.

Problem with the metal brackets. I can't find a release button and don't want to brake it. The wires are for my turn signal and with that beast we can't just drive it like a Prius.

@@donttellthekids2655 That's weird they don't. I assume they used the van doors and cab portion probably because of the height opening and easier to climb into. Put a unique truck front end and you get a Topkick.
I have A 2006 gmc topkick had fuel issue dropped the tank put new fuel lines but when I put everything back my electric fuel pump would not come on everything worked before I did the work. been trying to find the fuel pump module can anyone tell me is it under the hood or in the cab none of my fuse box lids have what fuse is what
Interesting. Cab got 1.5" DC CONDUIT for wires and an 1" for AC wires. Insulated heater lines for cab heat. Have to change to a better enclosure for a light bar. The inspection place seeeemmmsss to have done something with my backup lights? Have to fix that.As well have to remove the kids DIRTY Boot marks from the rear doors plastic!!!! For grounds from the front right grd, I went with 4 #8 grounds to the frame ctr grd above right axle then 2#8's to rear and then for future center dry box. Lots of Kopper Kote and Cosmoline for rust prevention.
Backup lights were never hooked up. The transmission puts out a negative signal to a relay under the hood. We hooked up to that factory relay and wired our camera with it. Now the backup lights and camera work together when put into reverse.
@@AnthonyJ350 Ya. I know. I picked all of my signals up into a PVC box brought a Gray pair#10 down to power what I needed. Turned out was just the extra backup lights.
Yes it does a blue wire taped in the passenger (wiring harness was it) there to solder to. I used a #10 wire. It wasn't hard to find, you have probably found it by now?
Im looking to pick one of these up for my junk removal business, its a 04 with 116k with the Duramax diesel and the guy wants 22k for it. It has a 14ft dump bed with 4 or 5 foot sides ( he didnt list the height ) and its 8ft wide. Everything seems to be in good shape, just wondering if its a good deal or too good to be true. We have a 4500 topkick..duramax. what can cause the battery to lose power while driving.. it died when on cruise control. Check engine and arrow down sign is on. We changed the fuel pump.. the mass air flow.. my husband's driving to Az. And I hope he can make it. It was only going 30mph but now it's going 70.. battery power going up and down. HELP!!!
There’s a wire under the steering column that runs to the fuel pump.. engine gets no fuel it dies.. as I was driving it just died lights power steering everything and I trail a 40ft trailer, I start it back up and it sputters out and dies then I wiggle the wire harness and it works again.. but I found the wire that had no current and I bypassed it, never died on me again
I have been having problems with my washer pump. IT SEEEEEMSSS to be ????? the washer fluid foams so doesn't pump?????? I have taken the little hose off of the wiper was it and it works. OR is the mixture which I have been using for 30+ yrs of Rainx and the -40C blue washer fluid?
I don't have a video for that yet. You have to diagnose the wiring, most of it will be in the back depending on how the truck was equipped from factory.

That's why we spray everything with POR 15 and spray over that with Fluid Film. I'll have an updated video after Monday showing it with the skirts and everything to help keep the salt at bay.

I'm not too sure on fuel economy. But if space is a concern, better to have too much truck than not enough.

Sorry no I don't. I would just test every fuse with a test light or multimeter.

I would turn the ignition switch to the "on" position and test every single fuse.

Check the engine hours, if it's 4X4 and already outfitted sounds like a good deal.
looking at a 2007 7.8l c7500......they say it has a bad accelerator actuator....wtf is that, why cant i find one?

Overall they're good trucks and there aren't many trucks like them. Just have to know what to look for on a Duramax.

What I found out about the PTO high idle is the engine defuels so doesn't run warmer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was set to 1248 RPM. Stupid by design.
