@@jamescurfman3284 see that's a tough one because it would be more entertaining if it was a good live performance. Hard to find from their early material otherwise I'd say Babylon is a great song. That being said I think I'd say Ratrace is the best one to react to in terms of having a music video and all that good stuff.

She's one of the most interesting voices in metal today. Her singing is different in every song, she's versatile and just well rounded as a singer. We love Tati!!

I've been a metal singer for almost 20 years, and I've never seen anyone explain the misconception of "pitches" in screams and growls as well as you do. All that and you are [new] to this extreme world. Very perceptive!
I am a death metal vocalist for over 15 years and I not only use mouthshape but also tongue shape and placement. If I push it down and curl the sides I get an incredible low growl with some sort of metal rattling sound in it.

Also, not sure if you’ve gotten the request yet but you really need to react to Spiritbox. Another phenomenal female fronted band. I’d recommend “Rule of Nines” or “Constance”, but that last one is a bit emotional.

Tatiana runs circles around Courtney. I listened to 3 of their songs and just can't get into them. One thing I do know it you can't compare the two bands. Jinjer is much much better.

IMO, skindred's better tracks are nobody, rat race, state of emergency, and I forget but one other from earlier albums.
@@jamestalkington6306 SO much more good skindred song even in new albums (Big things, that's my jam, warning, ninja and my favourite song is roots rock riot). For me I enjoy them more in live than in album cuz they give so much energy to the crowd.
Agreed on roots rock, and ik, ninja is good, but I feel like their later albums feel like the label was rushing them.

The kicker is she did in 1 take. I mean it’s not like no one hasn’t ever done one of their own specific song vocals in 1 take before, but she sounded so incredible and even throughout the entire song. Thanks for reacting.
I've been waiting FOREVER for you to do more Jinjer videos! There's a TON more you should do by them. They just released a new video yesterday called "Home Back" you should definitely do this one. I definitely recommend Home Back, which they just released the video for yesterday, or Perennial (Live). In my opinion, those are the two most impressive performances Tatiana has done so far.
Trust me Beth there’s at least 500k of us who think you’re awesome 🙂, never think you aren’t cool. We’re all individuals some of us have edginess, some of us are more reserved, but we’re all unique and that’s what makes life fun and beautiful, a wonderful adventure. “Rawr”.

I love your reactions - your reaction to "Pisces" was one of the first reactions I ever watched, and I keep coming back.
You might want to listen to the studio version of "Retrospection" and the just dropped video for "Home Back", in that order. I would suggest having the lyrics up. Very different sides of the same coin.

Notice after the two verses when it goes into the middle 8 section with the extended section of screaming. How you visibly see her plant her footing so that her body is braced, grounding herself with good posture to enable her to tolerate to force of the sound coming out. Good growl/scream technique is as much about positioning and body posture as it is about throat relaxation and technique (much like other forms of singing)
A band for you to consider is Wishbone Ash and their song The King WIll Come from the album Argus. They are believed to be the first band to use a dual lead guitar and this prog album was released in 1972. I don't believe it has ever been remastered so you have the original compression to about 30 db of headroom but it is still a masterpiece.
7:50 Now there is again that beautiful moment when Beth almost loosing the fight :D Pisces had similar effect. Tati is GOOOOOOD!!

Yes, there are many women "growlers", I've listen to several but Tatjana is the one I like the most and shocked me the way she shook you, her tone and depth is outstanding, and she can sing as well with natural voice.

Ginger likes Jinjer, go figure :) Seriously, good reaction. It is nice to see people expanding their horizons. I would like to recommend "Beggar's Dance". There is no official video for it, but it is on RUclips. Even if you decide not to make a video on it, I think you might enjoy it.
i'm not a singer, but i played guitar, and my teacher taught me funk even though I've never played funk (i played metal), but he tough me it to learn the rhythmic component of the guitar, in particular the shuffle rhythm. in that moment I undertood that a musician have to learn different techniques, like a different color of a painter, because it enriches you and can push you to experiment. but the important thing is that you have to be a good musician, regardless of the style or technique used. Tatiana is all of this. she is an excellent singer, in any technique she tries. here he goes from ragge to metal to clean as if it were nothing.
Love to listen to your explanations even though I‘m not really interested in vocal theory. If you would explain maths I would like it. Great Job.
