No, this is not why you create a blocked account. It's basically 1 year of living expenses that you need to show the govt. Students are allowed 20 hours of work on student visa so many people do work for ubereats etc and make sufficient living. This way they can use the saved up living expenses to renew their visa again after.a year. This is so that you can live with basic human rights and are not starving once you are here. If you are not capable of taking care of yourself, of course the govt will jump in and save you with whatever they can do (medical intervention, food, shelter etc) but that is an added burden on the German govt and they need to be sure (with this blocked account) that you can carry your weight before you enter their country. The tuition fee of universities is 0, blocked account is only for your living expenses (rent, utility and food etc). And again your are wrong about not being able to use the money. It is blocked so that you get a monthly budget out. Example, currently you need at least 934 euros every month to survive here. That makes a total of 11208 euros in a year. So you will block 11,208 euros in your own german bank account as a blocked amount and every month you will get 934 euros in your current account which you are free to use. The reason on this blocked account is that people will borrow 11k euros to show the embassy and then as soon as they get the visa, they will cash out all the money and return it to whoever they borrowed this from. Once they get to Germany, then their main focus will be on the part time jobs, rather than studying (which the govt is already spending a lot of money on to give everyone free education).
Detail of Indian Bank finance for studies "Private banks can offer up to 1 Cr of education loans for abroad studies without collateral. I did my undergrad from BITS Pilani, one of India’s top premier institute. Most of my colleagues went to study abroad on bank loans. More than 90% of them did not have the funds to finance their education. Many of them settled abroad, some returned to India. The most important factor in all of this was the alumni network. Funds are important, what is more important is alumni network. I remember how my seniors and batchmates played a crucial role as mentors for fellow students.Apart from guiding them about universities, courses, expenses, culture, city life etc, they also played a huge role in providing them employment. As a result BITSAA chapter has grown worldwide and we host meet-ups frequently around the globe. Google Bitsians day. Nowadays, a lot of students in India are opting for job first followed by an MS. As a job allows a student to build good amount of funds and not rely on his/ her parents. Add to this that many of the students are opting for higher education within India. As of date, there are 23 IITs, IISc, 3 BITS campuses, IIST, 7 IISER, 25 IIITs, 3 ISI campuses and ~31 NITs. So India has around 100 high quality science and tech institutes, which are at par (if not better) than their global counterparts. Add to this the high quality pvt universities and central and state universities. So many Indians are absorbed in these homegrown institutions.

I took an education loan of Rs 7,40,000 to finance my M.B.A. I got placed as a consultant in an MNC. Got moratorium of 1 year. I pay EMI's. In 2 years I will end my outstanding amount. You are asked to give duration of moratorium , it could be either 6 months or 12 months. After duration period is over you can save money for 1 year and give ur emi's easily. Upto Rs 7,50,000 you don't have to give any collateral.(S.B.I). Your monthly emi depends upon the duration fixed by you during sanction of loan. For e.g if you mentioned 60 months for return of your amount and total amount is X Rs Then per month emi is X/60 Rs.

Students need to open a blocked account and deposit 11200 euros for applying for student visa. Once you are here you get a portion i.e. around 900 euros every month from that amount to cover your living expenses. This way the German Govt. wants you to focus on your studies rather than making money on odd jobs for the first year of your study.
A Block account means you blocked 11000 Euro in Germany, but you can't withdraw your whole amount in a single payout in a year. But they will pay you on a monthly basis after deducting a small amount of fee. The money all belongs to you. After one year your money will be in your bank.

As someone living in Germany, To the Cosmic Dreams guy I want to tell you that the 11,000 euros that you will submit is basically your monthly expenses for 1 YEAR, but by then students find odd jobs and than they can live off of that (FYI: As a student you cannot get a work permit before at least 6 months on a student visa). Either way you won't be getting those money back in a way that you can just pass it along to cover your loans. They aren't. We always hear people crying about their heartbreaks but what we never hear are, The heartbreaks of a balloon seller (not a beggar) who couldn't make enough for the day to get 2 meals for his family, The heartbreak of a child/women getting harrased or possibly r*ped but they can't tell anyone about it, The heartbreak of those students who studies whole year but still gets overlooked by those who bribes to get better grades, The heartbreak of a father/mother when their child(s) complains about their lifestyle when in reality those father/mother are doing everything to give them a better future and believe me this list keeps going. Pakistan has not only become financially unstable but people living inside it are mentally/physically broken as well. And then everyday some disgusting events keep taking place, Someone's calling themselves a nabi and some people are promoting homosexuality, Allah ka azaab nhi samjhe to kiya samjhe isko? For the blocked account guy. It is very difficult to arrange that amount of money considering the situation of inflation and currency devaluation in Pakistan. I, as well, have made up my mind to pursue masters in Germany. At that time the amount was only 1.8mil PKR but now the same amount is 3.6mil PKR and God knows what the situation would be after 2 or more years. I earn a good salary now, but it is gonna take me at least 2.5 years to gather this amount. Anyhow, if you have good grades and a good profile, you may try Finland, Italy, Norway, Latvia, Sweden or Latvia. They don't require a blocked amount and the fee is affordable as well. Also try to get Erasmus scholarship or other scholarships if you have good CGPA and work experience. May Allah bless us all!
@6:55 For People who are interested to know about the German Blocked Account 1. What it a Blocked Account? Foreign students who are not from an EU country must prove that they can pay for their studies and living expenses themselves. This blocked account is opened with a bank and the amount is blocked for a set amount of time (usually 12 months). The blocked amount is unlocked(released) on a monthly basis to be used by the student. 2. How much is Amount is Required to be blocked each year? This amount is based on the "Grundfreibetrag" or the "Basic Living Allowance". The German state assumes that a single person will need an amount of €10,908 per year in 2023 (2022: €10,347) to live on. This amount is used to buy all necessities such as food, clothing, rent, etc. Hence the blocked amount for each year corresponds to this Grundfreibetrag 3. How to circumvent this requirement? Students can get an exemption from this Blocked account if a. They get a sponsorship letter from someone in Germany (usually a family member) that they will support the student. b. Find a Scholarship (best resource for that is www.daad.de) viel Glück und Bleib Gesund!
Junaid bhai I like your suggestion to people of your country to get educated and help others. But I think some need to come back to make reforms in Pak as well. Brain drain will just keep worsening the situation in Pak. Harry Truman helped set up the best universities in America, in order to make their country better instead of depending on others in the long run. I understand Pak is lacking a visionary leader. But Brain drain will never let Pakistan bounce back ever. Once the person moves out, they wont gonna come back given the situation of Pak anyway. I am damn sure, if at all this kind of situation happened in India. Indians will put their money, blood and sweat to get the country back on its toes. Block account is made in Germany...where we have to send and save almost 11000 Euros..we get back in small chunk monthly after reaching Germany.
I think there should be a collaboration of rich people with the banks to help the needy people.
As mentioned above, these banks have a list of some top universities with them only for which they approve an unsecured loan. Private banks can fund both PG program and a UG program with a rate of interest of 10.5% and above."

Junaid bhai. Your work is so inspired that really motivates me alot. I am accountant by professional and completed my Master's in one of the top nosh university in Australia, back in 2017. I came back in 2021 with hope that that I will set well but I suffered a lot and exploit too much by employer here. But thanks GOD, three days back I got Australian pr and going back where I feel I should belong and value myself. Thankyou for you motivation and may ALLAH blessed you.❤🎉
Stay blessed you are doing phenomenal job
State bank of India gives loan without paying any instalment until completion of study on very low interest
Keep it up Junaid Bhai
👌
Fellow Bitsian here,
Like I remember one Senior tried to Do "londa bazi"
I straight started attacking him the same way he did to me
So he became so afraid of me he would just Run away if he sees me
Pakistan Government and Statebank should start student loans like in America. They are exploitative as hell, but there is no alternative. Something is better than nothing
In India banks will give education loans very easily .. but we need to collateral some property house or land or tax payer sign like these
There are plenty of options in Europe for masters. There are thousands of fully funded scholarships. You only need ielts, and in some cases, not even that!
Try your chance with erasmus mundus, eiffel scholarships etc. Ask alumni’s to review your documents. Its competitive but not impossible.
For e.g if you mentioned 60 months for return of your amount and total amount is X Rs
Then per month emi is X/60 Rs.
Yes, I’ve had loan from HDFC bank 7 years ago! Without any guaranty because my father was government employee! Now he is retired! Interest rates were high but they approved loan within 2days and the funny part was they did home service! That means a guy came from bank to my house to do paperwork! Than my father told me, did you see the power of government job!
what do you do now?

Block account is an account in the foreign country where they will be studying and they can withdraw limited amount every month!
Being someone who is currently going through the same process as the cosmic dreams guy, I have a lot of information on the issue and a handful of work arounds to the blocked account issue or any financial issue for that matter.
I can relate to the frustration as well and would be glad to speak to anyone who needs some guidance. Unfortunately, financial assistance isn’t something I can provide at the moment but hopefully in the future InShaAllah.
Kindly reply to this comment with your email so that we can discuss further.
Hi bro Can I get a job on the basis of Indian degree in foreign countries
Please share the information. I would really appreciate your time, thanks!
The banks usually directly pay the loan to the college/ University, minimising its misuse

Junaid bhai, I would like to recommend application Live 360 which can actually notify your family circle that when you about to reach Home, Work, School. My father/ mother / wife open the gate for me when i entered in my society.

Recommendation for question#1 . You can apply for MS degree in Finland . It will require 8 lacs to show in a account . It's a fully funded scholarship.
Scholarship name?
Bht dukh hta hy ye halat dekh k
@cosmic dream guy!
Apply for fully funded programs in other European countries or Australia, Newzeland for fully funded scholarship. Also, you may do masters from Pakistan NED/NUST and then apply for Ph.D abroad and apply for fully funded scholarship which not cover fee but also provide stipend to meet expenses.
Wish you all the best in life!
Yes, I agree. I am from India, couple of my friends were from weak economic backgrounds but they applied for a PhD and were assured of funding. It's a tough path for 5-7 years but probably life changing for this guy.
Inflation UK mein bhi taizi se barh rahi. Yahan roz rate barh jatey sab grocery lene jao rents to itne ziada, salaries low, non existent jobs and lay offs. So even developed country is struggling which is a financial powerhouse

Blocked account doesn't mean that you can not touch. You can withdraw a certain amount from it Around 900 euros a month, Its a Guarantee that a student can finance him or herself during their studies..
Dear try Sweden scholarship program which give you even tickets and monthly expenses as well. One my friend got his scholarship at the age of 40 which is very rare but he tried and got it fortunately. So try Sweden and I wish all the best.
In India, if a student is bright, he/she doesn't have to worry about money.. He can become anything..
UK muqeem Pakistani Jo struggle Kar ke apne visa theek kartey hain (excluding those who chose Marriage as a ladder to settlement) UN logon ke barely main video banaye. Takey upcoming Pakistanis Jo yahan ana chahein UN ko in depth clarification hojae to chose the best option and platform. Which would be better than gamble your time and age.
I think with saylani you can start a consortium for education. They have massive data bank and as well as secruitny system related to amount. Its also a trust worthy organisation.

Junaid bhai, south Asia as a whole is on the brink of revolution as even the basic food has moved away from the reach of poor. While India is sustaining it with free food (kab tak), many others like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka cant afford it.
Bro how India which is majority of south Asia is even on brink?? Over years we have successfully decreased our acute poverty
Don't include India here. In India staple food prices of non-branded atta, rice, lentils has remained same around rs 35, rs65, rs 120 respectively since last 10 years whereas price of atta in pakistan was pkr 36 in 2018, pkr 80 in 2020 and has reached pkr 160 in 2023. This is runaway hyper inflation. No other country in south asia has this problem

That being said I am working full time in Germany for the past 1 year and its not easy at all living with 11,000 euros per year even in very cheap cities and God help you if you go to a city like Hamburg, Frankfurt or Munich etc.
Hi 👋

In Europe the labourers, who get high income, work like freelancers. Usually they get minimum wages. BUT the social system helps them financially, govt return their taxes... Those people even cheat govt and don't show their income fully in order to get the social money... That's why they have good cars...
First junaid bhai, you don't need our help. You need assistance. As I was watching your ask ganjiswag with your better half. After that I would this young this and productive man to apply for Italy and other European countries. Particularly Italy cuz it offers fully funded scholarships with a bonus stipend of 5000Euros per year in various programs. Best of luck.❤ A fan from Multan.

Q1, stop pursuing for masters degree from abroad if you don't have money. A degree from NED with work experience more than enough. Migrate to Australia. I've seen so many NED graduates with first salary at least $75k annual in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Please Please my fellow Pakistanis, Migrate to Australia.
Once you get a residency in Australia, you can get admission to any Australian university with government loans.
Immigration requires 50 to 60 lac
Australian immigration doesn't require any money to show

Forgive my utter ignorance but can someone please explain, if the inflation is so high to point wherein 3 plate tikka paratha costs 1700 rupees. How are regular people surviving? Since salaries will not increase during this period.
Allah naa karey but hum logo k saath wohi hoga jo Qoum-e-loot k saath hua tha,
Still so much. Education loan problem in India bro

@6:55 For People who are interested to know about the German Blocked Account
Hence the blocked amount for each year corresponds to this Grundfreibetrag
3. How to circumvent this requirement?
Students can get an exemption from this Blocked account if
a. They get a sponsorship letter from someone in Germany (usually a family member) that they will support the student.
b. Find a Scholarship (best resource for that is www.daad.de)
viel Glück und Bleib Gesund!
Junaid bhai I like your suggestion to people of your country to get educated and help others.
But I think some need to come back to make reforms in Pak as well. Brain drain will just keep worsening the situation in Pak.
Harry Truman helped set up the best universities in America, in order to make their country better instead of depending on
others in the long run.
But I dont see the same feeling in Pakistani kaum.
Just my thoughts.😕😕
