    🔈🔉🔊 SOUND TEST in next video!
    I tested these with the stock radio. They do sound a lot better than stock, but I want to test them with a Kenwood receiver and Bluetooth audio to really see what they can do. A radio station doesn’t do them justice. Thank you for understanding and stay tuned for the next video!

    The XTC baffles work great, used them with my Kicker speakers in my 93 Miata.

      Thank you! I just tested them out with a new Kenwood headunit and they sound amazing! You all nailed it with these 👏

    I have these in my NB1 running off a Sony XAV-AX5500. Years ago my NB2 had the Clearwaters on the stock head unit. Hard to compare because my ownership between these two cars was a 16-year gap, but I remember being a bigger fan of the Clearwaters.
    I just managed to get ahold of a windblocker with the Bose speakers so I will be buying 3M's speakers for those and seeing if a little more total speakers resolves my complaints. Top up I have no complaints. Top down at 50mph at the volume you need they tend to start distorting, so hopefully having a little backup will reduce the volume level needed and keep all 4 speakers in their happy place.

    I use Rockford Fosgate PPS4's in the lower doors for mids and a pair of RF 1in tweeters up top with an 8in RF sub in a Miata footwell sub box, this is an incredible set up for the Miata

    • @BillyBlaze7
      @BillyBlaze7 4 месяца назад

      try the system I posted about, it all fits right in the miata and it not only sounds incredible its loud AF, I power everything with 2 RF amps. a 300watt Punch mono amp for the sub and a RF 400watt Punch amp for the mids and tweets

      I have that Whitney Houston 🐐 remix song stuck in my head now. Have you heard that one? I like Alpine too. Kenwood looked a tad cleaner and it was in stock. Not much was in stock during these Covid times :/
      I will film it all!

    I want to run these with an amp, but I can’t find the RMS rating anywhere. Do you know what it is? Or do you have a specific amp recommendation?

    • @DriveItRyan
      @DriveItRyan  Год назад

      60 watts rms is what they say on their website. I’m not running a separate amp at the moment so I can’t confidently recommend one. I’m just powering them with a Kenwood single din headunit. I did a video on that too ruclips.net/video/TY0PD5Xrj94/видео.html

    I had all my speakers upgraded and installed at a shop. But not only they damaged my doors clips and ruined the cardboard behind, later the cover came off when I rolled my windows and I could see that the speakers were just super thin wires attached nonchalantly to the contacts. They cut the original clip connections. Nice!
    So, my question is, where do I find those click and play connections and how do I know witch wires is right or wrong? Or does it matter? As long as I keep them in line.
    Is there a difference?
    My speakers in my headrest are also in need of changing. Do I put some crimps in there?
    I’m a woman…keep it simple. I know how to but I just don’t want to blow something up either.
    Can’t be worst than the job I pay for that’s for sure. 2 wires, I think I can handle that , got a 50/50 chance but at least I want them to be solid and not just twisted stupidly. Thanks.

      @@davidfrank6666 UPDATE
      I installed all new speakers with new connections and waterproof sleeves.
      Took me 1/2 hour and it sound amazing !
      I bought 4 Boss 3.5” 50 watt full range for the head rest. And 2 80 watts 6.5 inches full range also for the doors on Amazon. Cost me a little over 100$ and the wax come out of your ears. Lol

    The inside of the NB doors arent exactly weather proof either lol. Its garage kept now but i had to clean out mud and mildew from the last owner when i did sound deadening inside the doors

      Yeesh 🥴 that doesn’t sound like it was a good time. Did the sound deadening make a noticeable difference?

    • @travdripdrip382
      @travdripdrip382 2 года назад

      @@DriveItRyan huge difference! One of the most noticeable mod I've done to the ole girl. Gutted the interior and put it under all the carpet, but the inside of the doors made the biggest difference. I used killmat from amazon, dynamat is supposed to be the best but everyone i heard from had good things to say bout killmat and its a lot cheaper, there's another brand called noico i think, its on amazon too, don't know much bout that one

    • @DriveItRyan

      I addressed that in the video. I wanted to test them after I install the Kenwood receiver. Testing these out with the stock radio just wouldn’t do them justice.

    Hi, I really enjoyed the review, and went to 3m to find what I needed. The latest vehicle listed was the 2015 miata mx5, most offerings were for the 1997 and below models. Do you know if their speakers will fit a 2016 mazda mx5 sport? I'm looking for headrest and door speakers and these are looking real nice! thanks in advance!!

      for the speakers to function correctly, they need airflow out the back
