Leon you are the only one on RUclips that provides specific and I mean VERY specific information about this particular brand of chainsaws that we know and love but I will say further that nobody else has a channel that focuses on the specific problems that one may face repairing one of these old power saws. Any other brand besides Homelite because of you and your just trying to push water up hill with a rake (troubleshooting blind). Thank you so very much for sharing this knowledge and I hope you will continue for a long long time!!! ps: you haves saved me many a heartache repairing these saws
Pulling white stock paper (w/ Elect Cleaner) through closed points after adj - ensures they are clean. Never filed; always used an oil stone. My 2 cents. Thanks for the Great Videos, Leon! Takes me back 40 yrs hp

You the man Leon, just picked one up at the scrap yard today, with perfect cylinder and piston, for $2.50. No spark, with Wico ignition. I said to myself Leon's GOTTA have something on this! 👍
Great video! Getting ready to check points on a couple identical saws to this! Suspect my lack of spark is coil though. Not getting any spark from plug test. Any suggestions?

If the points are burned, the contender is bad. At least, that is how I learned it.
The points on that thing look just like the ones on any small engine. I wonder if an electronic conversion would work on it. I swear by them.
It sure looked like u didn’t tighten the flywheel nut but down very much. I could be wrong tho
pretty sure it tightens itself as the engine runs
