The world has lost a great innovator and animator. A man who pioneered the art of claymation, and gave us countless characters and iconic moments for us to remember. Whether you know his work from the early days of the Noid and California Raisins, to the work made now by Laika Studios with characters like Coraline and Kubo; they all started with one man’s vision... His name, was Will Vinton. Though we must say farewell to this legendary figure, we can be thankful that his work will last forever. R.I.P. Will Vinton 1947 - 2018
I agree. I don't know why, but for some reason, the way he lets go and screams as he falls over backwards is just finny to me. Like, why did he do that? 😂
Used to watch this with my dad when I was a little girl.... he passed a year ago and although I really appreciated him for stopping whatever he was doing to watch this with me... I really really really appreciate the memory of him just watching this with me to see me smile... 😔💙
The Raisins really found their groove when they released this single. I was a soundboard tech at RCA when they recorded it. This was their first number one hit and it stayed there for a month. I remember the lead singer saying to me after the session "no more basement shows for us." He was right, the Raisins were playing sold out shows after this song and recorded a string of number ones. They were, as I remember, always humble and thankful for their audience and just downright great guys. I got the chance to jam with the lead singer and the bass player one night and it was the best night of my life.
My brother and I taped this off the TV back in the day. We watched it till the tape wore out. To this day I laugh whenever that green onion dude screams.
OMG! Me and my brothers did the exact same thing!!! We would rewind the tape 8 seconds over and over and over re-watching the onion scream!!! I found this tonight to show my 10 year old son the exact same thing....hahahahahaha
@@atechchuckI know somewhere my mother still has this on an old VHS tape that we recorded off of TV back in the day. Gonna have to dig through some box's some day to find it. hahahahaha!!!

I used to have this album on 12in... My first grade teacher would let me bring it to class and if the entire class finished our work, we could listen to it the rest of hour. Lol that was almost thirty years ago.
OMG ... real music. phew i was losing hope, mainstream garbage has broken my soul down to nothing but as soon as i put some real tunes on, i'm shining bright again 8)
Saw a photo of my brother and said to my mom hmm he looks interesting. And she said "I know, that's what I thought. He looks like the California Raisin"... Hence this 90s baby's new discovery 😅
Ha ha! It's funny because those raisins are torturing a vegetable while singing The Temptations! Oh the high-larity! And by that I really mean "my goodness, who was the sick mind who came up with this?"
