GG Yasuo Pvb bad? They always win early game against top level teams with the exception of TL in group stage (they did in play ins though). They beat G2 twice and almost handed IG their first loss it was down to one small mistake at the end. They are a competitive team that just needs to be refined for internationals. If they keep this up they will definitely become a major region.

Those two are the ones that make them. If IG is a supercar, Ning and Baolan are the gas pedal and steering wheel.

groups stage is every team against everyteam 1 match 2 times...best four teams goes to playoffs. Playoffs are semi finals and finals, each match is a best of five, team that loses is out

Group stage is a part of a major event like msi and worlds where the best teams in the group advance to the knockout stage (best of 5 stage) and that stage is the final stage of the major event. As an example, it will most likely be IG vs TL and SKT vs G2 in this msi and the winners will fight each other to determine the best in the tournament. In the group stage, there are often multiple groups (4 in worlds, 1 in this msi) and groups have multiple teams in them (4 teams in worlds, 6 in this msi). The teams play best of ones against every other team in the same group to determine the best teams in that group.
Not intentionally lose but not really try either. EU does nothing with the second seed as IG will still pick TL as their opponent. So there was really no need to actually try and show any moves to other teams qualifying. Ofc, it could all just be paid by Steve ;)

I think that, once they are locked in, they don't play at their best anymore to not show too much of themselves, of their playstyles and tactics. In NA tournements I always criticize Impact but this man is doing so well. Its incredible! Jensen and Xsmithie that you need to be aggressive on the map if you want to win games. Just being reactive and focusing on enemy mistakes to make plays wont win you games against top tiers. Corejj is sometimes out of synch. The NA playstyle doesnt suit. The rest of the team should adapt to him in terms of aggression just like this game. DL needs to fix his mental in internationals and he will be able to unleash his full power
