I was a fan of the Elizalde's during the Msn groups era. The Elizalde's where only heard in California, but thanks to the internet (MSN) I would listen to Valentins music and would download it and burn it on Cd's. Then "Como me duele" became a hit in Spanish radio here in Texas and I was so happy I already knew about him. One day months later after not hearing the song I suddenly kept singing the song "como me duele" all day non-stop and the next day I turn on the Tv and it was announced he was killed. I was like what the...😮😮😮

Not sure how often he'd read messages but a long time ago I remember writing on a small piece of a gum wrapper and passing the note to a security person near the stage after making my way through to the front of a large crowd, to give a shout out to my hometown in Mexico that was 30 minutes away. It was the coolest feeling when we all heard the shout out. Unfortunate that someone misused his gracious gesture to try and have it there way that cost him his life. Such 🐂
