Sole construction on AJ1s is a cupsole which is different than the vulcanized construction of the Converse and Vans you've done
THANK YOU for this. The sneaker community needs to know what they’re paying thousands for. But please don’t ruin your shattered backboards. You know that’s an expensive shoe.
Maybe rip open a pair of Bloodline high or a gym red/black (aprox 140-160 on StockX or GOAT).
Excited to see the shattered backboards video, thanks for this and educating us consumers
Rick Owens have alot of leather shoes
You should try the Geobaskets!
Stop
lmaooo
The same 'wipe that would wear those probably has a pair of Balenciaga sneakers and Yeezys. They look for the ugliest, lowest quality, shoes they can get their hands on. They pretend like they like them to make people thing that they have an elevated sense of style. Like loser rappers that wear dresses in attempt to be king of the Edgelords.
Andrew Delashaw I do not follow the same mindset as you but I do think cutting geobaskets is a dumb idea. When people say things like that it really makes them look like sheep, no different to the people they complain about
@@xenonram perhaps look at the Dunks, 13' Ramones, Mainline Geobaskets and then talk about quality. There are reasons why a pair of 10 years old shoes that is discontinued still have the price tag of min 1k5 on Grailed lol.
As a fashion designer thinking about getting into the sneaker game myself for my brand, i have now an idea where i can beat those big brands. On quality. Luckily Im from leather & furs background so i got all the suppliers and workers needed in my network. Shouldnt be difficult to do better.
Will work hard on the "how it's made" tho, since it seems to be their strong point more than what it's made from.
Thank you Rose Anvil!
I love his videos but when his cat just walks around it makes me LOVE them even more 😂😂😂
Dont mind the negative comments, just think of them as a constructive criticism. You are doing a great job man. Thanks for a detailed review once again.
Something that could be cool to do is, if you don't feel particularly attached to the shoes you don't cut in half, maybe finding an amputee that wants them. You'd be doing a good thing, and I think that would be a great thing to see, especially in these COVID-19 times.
I'd love to see inside the Air Jordan 14 Retro SE, "insulated for Winter".
I'd love to see you review one of the leather versions of converse.
Woo hoo 100K congrats! 🎉👏🏼😁 I'm not surprised they are not all leather. And to be honest I'm thinking the $1,000 ones won't be either. I wear Chucks now but back in the 70's (yup I'm old) I loved Nike Leather Cortez sneakers mostly because Starsky and Hutch wore them! I've always wanted a red Gran Torino too! 😁
His running out of space for the spare shoes lmao
You should do an air jordan 3 version of these videos, it has a good variety of leathers and suede on it. Anyways great video as always
The leather on vintage pairs is definitely better, I'd be curious to see a comparison of those as well
Looking forward to what you have to say about the Shattered Backboards 1.0!
Also, great to see that the side stitch actually does something.
Now i see why i killed some Vans and Converse sneakers to the point of them being unwearable, but didn't kill any Nike shoes.
yea so hellmamaraised is 85% right
kinda wishing someone had have told you to get an undeadstock pair of shattered backboards, don't know if a worn in shoe would make it more difficult to comment on and analyze the leather, but it would have been cheaper for you and maybe less painful for us, all that said, i am both excited and scared for that video
Next : New balance made in usa/uk
Loved this one! It's nice to see just what went into these Jordans. Looking forward to the highs
I'm guessing the expensive ones are going to be more or less exactly the same, just with a different color scheme and the ankle is higher. Children do not typically use high quality materials when manufacturing shoes for Nike.
😅 I see what you did there
Wow how fast your numbers have grown. Great job
Backboards resale is $1000. The retail price was only like $160
You should do this with some adidas superstars
Probably cost about $10 to make. As always with fashion brands, you're just paying for the name.
very interesting to watch i just got a pair of jordan 1 retros yesterday and im keen to see how they hold up
I am surprised the soles weren't thicker and more padded.
The Comfy Cush Vans look way better than these.
For real I ordered a pair of the comfy Cush for myself because they were so comfy
J B When did Jordan 1s come out? When did Comfy Cush come out? You shouldn’t be surprised.
Well in a Basketball shoe you don't want a lot of cushioning just impact protection and that was the best they could do in the 80s.
Super awesome.. your review.. and cutout always amaze me ... thank you for letting us know what is mad of what... And i se Toaster is doing well.. love when tryes to sit inside the shoe you already cutted in half .. very funny... all cat keep having that kind of habits ..
i don't buy nike, so I have to ask: WHY would ANYONE pay that much for "made in china" shoes?!? that's premium pricing for "sneakers", not "shoes you can buy at academy" pricing.
In a consumerist society, everyone wants to proudly display their capability to consume, and there is nothing better for it than putting brands on you, even if brands nowadays don't mean good quality. That's part of the answer, I think.
110 is considered affordable nowadays. Almost most of what nike, adidas etc puts out averages around 100.
Brand and aesthetic.
Just because they look cool that's literally it just that
wow. this was very educational. Thank you so much. If you ever decide how the quality of those AJ1 SBB not only I don't own a pair but sure will hurt my feelings watching such a great shoe to be put on the test for this. First time and new subscriber as well due to the fact that I really like leather and will educate me every item I own or going to purchase. Amazing video and that beautiful cat you have as well.
hellmama was right and you snarky girl responded to him saying "are they though" when he told u
Comment for engagement. Looking at the comments looks like you tapped into the wider market with this one as looks like some people new to your channel here. You're at 100k now dude 😉
Anyone who wants leather sneakers should look like Santoni sneakers.
Jordan 1's it's not about the skin. it's an advertising story only. for sports shoes they’re not good at all. it is a senseless and meaningless model, no matter how much they cost.
You can find solid leather sneakers for way less than the cost of Santonis.
@@JB-1138
perhaps, very few in the market
either it will be very bad leather.
ten years ago it could have been Premiata
or similar.now everything is spoiled.
rip AJ1
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO, ACTUALLY I WAS WAITING FOR IT
Definitely piss-thin modern sneakers. Had the midtop Jordan 1 before. Never again.
Mids are always complete shit. Highs can be pretty good. They last a long time and look good.
if you want a higher quality jordan 1 go with the high, theres a reason why the mids are so hated in the sneaker world
@@micahhradil2551 Air Force 1. More sturdy.
@@micahhradil2551 mids are back
redacted information mids were never here in the first place
man wasted my life savings to entertain me what a chad
just a little info jordan mids always have pretty poor quality overall compared to the highs
Probably not tbh 😂
I would love to see more jordans, maybe even do a series of cutting expensive shoes in half.... it'll make us all cry but itll be good.
