Toy Story 2 Walkthrough Level 5: Alleys and Gullies

- Level Five of the game 'Toy Story 2 Action Game: Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue' for PC.
In this level I've cut out a few parts of me failing at holding on to ledges, in order to get under the 11 minute time limit. You're not missing much, just me jumping at a ledge, not grabbing on and falling. If this confuses you, feel free to ask me.
Without the grappling hook, you can only get 3 Pizza Planet Tokens in this level, and coins are rare. You can get roughly 60 coins without grappling to higher places, so if you kill an enemy make sure to get it's coin. Slinky's bone collecting is quite hard - I got lucky, both getting to it and doing it. Good luck!

i remember playing this as a kid and i stumbled upon a glitch that made me clip through the boxes (right where you spawn at the beginning of the level) and fall through the map, endlessly shouting "wooaaah wooaaah wooaaah" until he finally died at the bottom of a black pit.
Poor duck mom, I think she still misses her little ducks :(
I just realised that it was this game that defined me as a gamer. Just because of my love for toy story, I forced myself not to rage quit, to keep playing through hours of torturous frustration, just to see the ending. So I'm looking forwards to finishing watching this play through, as I never got past the final boss.

The fact that I’m playing this on my PS5 with the trophy update makes this amazing.
No matter how advanced todays games are, no game will ever give so much fun like this one did. This is my childhood...
Ahhh here we have it, this was the level I could NEVER get past when I was a kid, I think I could only ever get one pizza planet token per level and with this one I just couldn't get any! In my defense I would have been 5 and also THIS GAME WAS RIDICULOUSLY HARD!!!! But still, happy memories!
Liam Looker Same I played this when I was 5 IT WAS SO HARD then for some reason I glitched the game it messed up my pc I eject the disc and the disc was shattered.....

Oh my God, I remember this level! It took me like an hour to climb up o the highest roof where that boss was waiting, and when i got there, I had 0 lives left and only like 20% health - that bloody clown-thing ran me over in one attack. I still feel like crying the way I did back then when I remember my disappointment.

Frustrating but just rewatching this and hearing that nice music is so nostalgic and I want to cry. Miss my childhood.
This for me is one of the greatest levels. It got kids to think, look around and problem solve.
Boy was this level a challenge when I was a kid. It was kind of fun, though, because a lot of exploring went into it (once I got the hang of it, of course).
This was an awesome game. Ah the nostalgia!
I beat this level at 8 years old... after countless months.. I never beat this game but at least I beat this level!
Since this can't be done your first trip. I personally did Slinky's challenge, since it was the closest and least painful and quit the level, I came back to do the rest after I got the hook. I still wish there's a way to glitch the game or something to climb the building without the hook to like rescue the baby ducks.

This level was a pain in the ass and it didn't make sense to get the grappling hook in a future level having said that the music is catchy and those ducks were cute

It's a pretty cool level, with the rain and all.

Just wanted to say big thanks to the youtuber and those in this comment section that helped me understand this level.
Almost 3 decades of my life I never truly knew how far I got through this game and have never stuck it through to complete it; its up on a pedestal for sure; and since passing this lvl again, and then just now defeating the boss following, Ive found that Ive never played from lvl 7 before and its my new favourite lvl. I set out to finish the game this time ❤

My favorite stage by far, I played this one so much.
I'm replaying this for the first time in twenty years. CRUSHED the first 4 off of repressed memories and this bullshit level is tripping me up again.
Because it's impossible. To fight the boss and to pick up all the baby ducks, you need a grappling hook that Mr. Potato Head will give you in level 10...

I just held off some of the PPTs until I got what I needed; for example, I didn't get all the ducklings until I got the Grappling Gun.

3:38 i always had trouble taking that Zurg Minion out because of the sheild and all that.
