Ive done a couple of cars by obd now and going to use bench mode on a car for the first time, thank you for this video. When removing the ecu do you need to disconnect the car battery ?

Hi Leopold, no need to disconnect the battery unless it is blocking or restricting access to the ECU. In which case always allow the car to power down for a good 5 minutes and follow any manufacturer specific instructions for battery removal and ensure the keys are well away from the car before disconnecting the battery. Don't lock the car either before removing the battery and do not touch the keys fob buttons or any other electrical items in the car with the battery removed.

Hello, you can eliminate DTCs from the ecu with this programmer.

Yes you can if you have a master version and then use file writing software to remove or you utilitser a file provider like ourselves. The tool essentially reads the ECU file so you can make those types of modifications. The tool doesn't make the changes itself. You then write the modified file back to the ECU.
