      He was AMAZING!! I actually had thought I was recording him and then looked at my phone and it wasn't recording! So I thankfully was able to catch him again! He was his very own show, and his energy was so uplifting!

      That's funny Mark; I actually already made it and it's just sitting in my private folder! I want to get out some shorts of cruising, and highlight my favorite things about cruising in the shorts. Thinking of a "Throwback Thursday" theme with my shorts, and want to include little snipets of cruising there. May we all get back to cruising again this year...it's been too long already! Stay warm, my neighbor across the "pond"!

    Thank you. This is one of the better Cayman vlogs I've seen. A lot of tourist stuff, but some local stuff too.
    A lot of people don't know about the buses. You hear many bad things about them, but it's by far the best way to see the island. You can even request a specific stop, and if it's not on their regular route, you can arrange pick up later, or have a local call one of the drivers for you.
    Highly recommend them instead of taxis. Will save you a TON of money!

    • @NauticalNurseNancy
      @NauticalNurseNancy  3 года назад +1

      We Totally enjoyed out time exploring Grand Cayman, for sure! I was amazed at how easy and inexpensive the public bus was to take there; sure did save us lots and felt more like a local! Thanks so much for watching!

      @@NauticalNurseNancy With the cost of taxis we were kind of forced to. Wouldn't recommend it on some other islands, but in Cayman it's a friendly option. We still spent over $60 in 4 days, but still cheaper than a taxi. Just avoid them during rush hour.

    We did a snorkel excursion in that same area of Grand Cayman. There was a strong current pushing against us, so it felt like we swam for a mile, but we actually didn't make it far at all! That excursion hooked me on snorkeling, though, and now its my favorite thing to do 😁

      The Barrier Reef of Grand Cayman was SO very amazing...this reef was pretty, but the barrier reef on the other side was just mind-blowing with all the coral and the tropical fish! Thanks so much for watching and may we all get back out there SOON! ❤️ For now, we are going to keep on remembering all the awesome cruise moments!

    Other than the line for the tender that looked like a relaxing yet active and enjoyable day. I really enjoy active excursions over relaxing the day away, but there is something about not having to worry about being at the proper place at the proper time and just enjoying the area without an agenda that is also appealing.

    • @NauticalNurseNancy
      @NauticalNurseNancy  3 года назад

      I totally agree! It's really good that my Anthony keeps me "reeled in" or I would try to do waaaay too much, LOL! I wanted to go to the turtle farm too! But I wouldn't trade the relaxing and romantic walk along the beach for anything - it was really the nicest way to spend the day! The tender line was SO CRAZY LONG but we found friends in line which made the time waiting go by in the blink of an eye. Thanks so much for watching Jim!

    Nancy, this video hits home. We did something similar on this island. Took the bus to the turtle farm, drove by heck (don't want anyone thinking I swear) and then to 7-mile. This hotel is a great find, I would love to stay there. I hate leaving a beach all sandy so we did something nauti here. We used to bathroom to clean up and change into clothes. Love the bus system here. We are always looking for snorkel spots. Where did you snorkel and was it decent? I know I ask a lot of questions, just one more. Do you like that type of snorkel mask? Okay, I'm done.🐸 Towel=pig

    • @NauticalNurseNancy
      @NauticalNurseNancy  3 года назад

      I love your question and your detailed comment John!! We could have changed clothes at Eden Rock after snorkeling, but didn't have a lot of time for that so we just stayed in our swimwear...it was nice and warm there that day. The Eden Rock area was okay for snorkeling but it was a LOT of swimming (we should have rented fins!) I'd rather go to the coral reefs on the other side of the island...those have the BEST snorkeling but I think you have to go there by boat to get to them. I like the ease of the full-face snorkel mask, but I think I'd like to invest in an old-fashioned set someday so I can dive down at times. The bus system of Grand Cayman is perfect and very affordable. May we ALL get through this and out there cruising again!! You are RIGHT!! The towel animal is DEFINITELY a PIG!! 😁
