Honestly the concealment is utterly ridiculous. Out-spotting cruisers with 20" guns which over-match all armour; what vodka-soaked idiot thought that was a good idea?
the reason I would recommend this ship before shikishima and Stalingrad is there are comparable ships in the game already like Moskva Petro and Yamato,but incomparable is, well incomparable
I'm really surprised by this ship, it's so flexible in what it can do without being stupidly overpowered. It does have a high skill floor though due to it's poor armour. (Just don't do any gamer turns) I play this thing with the reload mod instead just because the shells are too floaty to be used at 20km effectively and the low range forces you to play in where the ship is most effective. Absolutly love this ship best freemeium to come out in resent memory.
Yeah, just from the vids his shells were going all over the place averaging maybe 1-2 shell hits (with some shatters!!!!!). At closer range with faster reload, this beast will actually land more than 33% of her shells (hopefully) and do real work with a higher DPS. She is the epitome of the British SAS -- who dares, wins. This thing rewards high risk (hence the addition of torps) because it's the best way to get the most out of your 6 guns. Not sure if it's worth all that steel but since I already have Bourgogne.... definitely something to consider.
I played the ship only for one day, this is a really good ship, not overpower but definitely good, she has the speed and concealment to flank and ambush the enemy, plus she is surprisingly tanky, the bow is not that big and the side and deck bounces everything 😆
Bourgogne is an Alsace that can shot more often sometimes... if you want the experience here it is: play alsace, every time you shot someone you "imagine" that you could shot it about 1 to 2 more times in that window of oportunity... Just like Jean Bart and Richelieu
I'd say Ragnar is also a "get before this one" ship. Maybe even more so than Stalingrad. Ragnar is arguably the best DD available in the game right now, and has a good claim for the best one overall.
Damn that Kurfurst made a real art of ignoring SLM. Just as he was talking about getting citadeld in this ship, the Curry turrets were turning towards his broadside and I was thinking that now he will get slapped, only for the turrets to keep on turning to the other side without shooting :D

I got Ragnar with my steel and it's the perfect ship for me. I whished that they would have released this one for coal though. I find it a bit, well.... questionable to lock the 508mm / 20 inch caliber guns EXCLUSIVELY behind a Steel-Wall, which many, many players will probably never be able to overcome. Ragnar is my first steel ship and i've been playing the game for 5 years or so, but i don't do clan battles. And it took me all this time to get enough steel to get the cheapest steel ship WITH COUPON. And i have to admit that i bought dockyard phases to get the steel, otherwise i wouldn't have been able to get it for another few months. I get that having something special for steel is important, otherwise what would be the point of steel at all? But as soon as more of that thing (in this case 20 inch guns) gets added, most others should be able to get it in a reasonable amount of time too (= coal; takes long enough but not rediculously long like steel).

I used my coupon for Ragnar. Great fun ship but I’ve been waiting for a British battlecruiser that of course pops up after I buy Ragnar. Took me a long time to get the steel for Ragnar. Oh well. Great video
I'd take Brisk and speed flags if you use concealment and try to flank with the engine boost. It gets up to over 40knots while undetected. With the speed flags and Brisk, I get HMS Hood near 39 knots while hidden.
Got it, don't regret it. Other than a CV focusing me all game so he could kill the shiny new ship, the other 4 games I had were all 130k+ and extremely fun. Hard recommend.
Her AAs are bofors 40mm guns, just the british version, you can tell because they are 40mm/56, the British 40mm guns are shorter. They are the Vickers 40mm/39s
Bourgogne before this is just my opinion. I grabbed the Bourgogne not the Stalingrad. For one everybody focus fires the Stalingrad when they see it. And if you have the petro why the need for the Stalingrad. Just my opinion.
Speed + reload + 2ndary + reliable guns is why I went with Bourgogne. No regrets. I also don't care for ships with MASSIVE citadels which basically limits the way you can play (as long as you're playing against anyone without a potato brain). One of the reasons why I stopped playing Thunderer/Yammy/Russian anything unless it's snowflakes or nation required.

Me thinks that wargaming is going to change the calculation of armour autobounce threshold. 30mm used to be the god tier armour back in the day. But with do many ships with mor Ethan 431mm guns, it's watering down the cruisers to two options: don't get hit or get deleted.
Who knew that SLM participated in enough clan battles to have the steel to pick up a ship like this right upon its release?... My clan is barely active at all so it's next to impossible for me to accumulate any meaningful amount of steel, so what inevitably ends up happening is that I look at the measly amount of steel I have saved up and just convert and use it towards my overall coal balance to get that next coal ship just a bit sooner... I fear I'll never have the opportunity to earn enough steel for something like the Stalingrad, and it's kinda BS that anyone stuck in less active clans like myself gets effectively cut off from any real way of earning steel in this game : (

It looks like it plays much like the British Heavy Cruisers as it has similar features. Big guns, but you have to be very careful as you can get deleted pretty fast. Not my favorite line of ships to play as they feel like they don't do a lot in many battles, but at least this ship has the huge guns to make up for the down sides. Right now I am thinking either this or Bourgogne, but I am only at 10k steel (no clan battles) so I will have a while to watch and see how the ships plays out in game and if it changes.
The big gun fast ship and squishy is basically like the Georgia and the german Battle cruiser line of squishiness too. And it gets torps also like the german BCs. And the hull looks like the battle cruiser Repulse but with 508's. The squishiness also reminds me of the battlecruiser soviet t8 borodino... that thing got good 406 guns from sovetsky but it is squishy as heck. Im thinking she is fun cause she can relocate fast and very good concealment. Better than cruisers even. And she is a big ship and it beats petro conceal. But ye she is squishy, you really have to pick your fights and its better if you are kiting as enemy pushes. And while some other bb tanks for you. Same for schlieffen.

Anyway, good ship bad ship doesn't matter to me, RNG rule this world. It's a roll of dice, u can shoot on full broadside all game long and get, torpedo belt prot, non pen, Overpen, and the next match u devastate everything and it's citadel fiesta... Sometimes it feel like your team RNG is cursed, and nothing is working, every Salvo is trash but enemy Salvo is godlike. Been playing for 3 years vseen it, done it.

The Shirkishima will get the best of this ship np. I already have stalingrad and Bourgogne and ohio. I don't think this ship will ever get many games over 275,000dmg compared to Bourg or Shirk 400,000+ dmg games. Looks like a fun ship some what. The Bourg does over 43 knots you don't know what your missing.I will get Shirk when we get the next coupon sitting on 25,000 steel right now. And next Christmas will be Incomparable. Or ragnor we will see.
This is a WG trap ship. Few big guns, low hp, short firing range, low armor, low chance to tank and manouver. Waste of steel, better get Ragnar if you already have Stalingrad, Bourgogne and Shikishima.
Oh, just wait until they give us the original version of HMS Furious. 2x18" guns and light cruiser armor. Or worse, the completed version. 1x18" gun aft and planes.....
Yet again another ship with guns bigger than Yamato and it’s locked behind steel meaning unless you play clan wars you won’t be able to get it for another couple of years. They should’ve made this a coal ship. Or made shikishima coal while this replaced it as a steel ship.
Coming soon - HMS Inconceivable (sister ship of the HWS Ridiculous). Which will be power-crept by the USN Supreme (sister ship of the USN Ham And Pineapple). Give them time.
She is in fact exactly that. HMS Incomparable was the intended follow-on design to the Renown class battlecruisers. Hood was what actually got built instead.
This ship really doesn't have much going for it, big guns, torps and concealment. Its hit pool is abysmal. The base range of the main battery is horrible and even when you take the range upgrade it still isn't good. The secondaries are next to worthless and her armor doesn't look good enough to brawl anyway. Her torps are impressive if she was a tier VI but not by tier X standards. Another con is the length of this ship, you really don't need to be good at aiming to hit this supertanker. It's good that it's called Incomparable because if you were to compare it to an actual great BB like the Thunderer you'd be pretty disappointed by this.
@@azraelswrd she's a battlecruiser due to her speed not armour. In the royal navy it was speed that determined if a capital ship was a battleship or battlecruiser. Other navies used different definitions.
@@EidolonTeralyst I didn't say it had nothing going for it, I said it didn't have much going for it. It's doesn't appear to be a bad ship, it just doesn't seem great for its tier. It only has six massive guns and they have shit range and what appears to be average dispersion. If it were a tier IX as is I'd have a much higher opinion of it. Of course I haven't used it or seen much of it yet, so perhaps it will be better than I suspect.

@@cirno9356 range mod doesn't improve accuracy, only aiming systems modification one can help with that be reducing your dispersion.

The first time I heard this ship from super testers, I knew it had 460+ guns. Now that it’s in game it looks pretty fun

I'd say Incomparible as she is fun and has more tools than Shiki. If you already have Yammy and/or Musashi, Incomparable is a better pick of the two.

The Shirkishima will get the best of this ship np. I already have stalingrad and Bourgogne and ohio. I don't think this ship will ever get many games over 275,000dmg compared to Bourg or Shirk 400,000+ dmg games. Looks like a fun ship some what. The Bourg does over 43 knots you don't know what your missing.I will get Shirk when we get the next coupon sitting on 25,000 steel right now. And next Christmas will be Incomparable. Or ragnor we will see.

This is a WG trap ship. Few big guns, low hp, short firing range, low armor, low chance to tank and manouver. Waste of steel, better get Ragnar if you already have Stalingrad, Bourgogne and Shikishima.
Oh, just wait until they give us the original version of HMS Furious. 2x18" guns and light cruiser armor. Or worse, the completed version. 1x18" gun aft and planes.....

Not a fan of these light armor botes. BBs IMO should always have tanking as one of their main objectives. That's not possible with this one.

Yet again another ship with guns bigger than Yamato and it’s locked behind steel meaning unless you play clan wars you won’t be able to get it for another couple of years. They should’ve made this a coal ship. Or made shikishima coal while this replaced it as a steel ship.

She is in fact exactly that. HMS Incomparable was the intended follow-on design to the Renown class battlecruisers. Hood was what actually got built instead.

This ship really doesn't have much going for it, big guns, torps and concealment. Its hit pool is abysmal. The base range of the main battery is horrible and even when you take the range upgrade it still isn't good. The secondaries are next to worthless and her armor doesn't look good enough to brawl anyway. Her torps are impressive if she was a tier VI but not by tier X standards. Another con is the length of this ship, you really don't need to be good at aiming to hit this supertanker. It's good that it's called Incomparable because if you were to compare it to an actual great BB like the Thunderer you'd be pretty disappointed by this.
That's why SLM kept calling it a battlecruiser -- she's not a true BB.
@@azraelswrd she's a battlecruiser due to her speed not armour. In the royal navy it was speed that determined if a capital ship was a battleship or battlecruiser. Other navies used different definitions.

@@EidolonTeralyst I didn't say it had nothing going for it, I said it didn't have much going for it. It's doesn't appear to be a bad ship, it just doesn't seem great for its tier. It only has six massive guns and they have shit range and what appears to be average dispersion. If it were a tier IX as is I'd have a much higher opinion of it. Of course I haven't used it or seen much of it yet, so perhaps it will be better than I suspect.
