yo pinning the full vid in the comments is advanced RUclipsr technique. its a shame there's so many channels that don't do that.
Time to try this without mastering the basics first
Update: I have no friends who trust me with a sword
We are in the same boat. Wanna try this together 😂
This Is a bad idea.....we shouldn'....nah let's do it >:D
@@Noble708 On gourd pissant! Hyah 🤺
Help I've mastered the basics but my friends still don't trust me not since I helped one of them with their Shanks cosplay
I don't have any who trust me with a stick... I am surprised I still have so much muscle laying around most of the day.
Instructions unclear, I now have a longsword in my shoulder.
Literally me, fr fr.
Learn the basic first smh rookie mistake fr
Did you master the basic techniques first?
@@trevorhegstrom2816 yes but I was using reverse grip.

My brother finally has a use for something
I’m used to the word casting being used in a much different way in relation to a sword fight
I'll use this to intimidate my neighbor the next time they peek in my mailbox
He said "casting" and I REALLY was expecting him to cast the "igni" sign. 😂💀
A bit unrelated to this specific post, but I'd love to see a break down or something of Miyamoto Musashi's two hand sword style!
This guy 100% slays all the re-enactment maidens...
If your friend doesn't parry a full force thrust to the brain in your stage combat practice, is he a true warrior?
Man's posture just looks like a Busch gardens employee over in Rome or one of the midevil shows or something
Honestly, from my stage combat experience, we have found out, that the best way to make combat look good is to actually go for the hit and have enough faith in each other that they would block. Sometimes that is even safer that trying to fake strikes and aim them somewhere else.
I would have to disagree on this one.
One mistake away from a big injury. I trust my partner into block, but I'm also using safeties.
@@SellswordArts I can definitely see where you're coming from, but friend got his hand hurt pretty badly, precisely because we tried to do safeties and since we stopped doing that, everything feels more in rhythm and less rigid, which at least to me feels safer. We had no injury since then. Obviously this is a pretty dangerous sport, so injuries are kind of expected from time to time regardless what safety features you implement or not and you might think we are asking for that, which is fair point of view.
Firstly I'd like to say, I don't know you, so I'm not speaking to you or your experience level, I can only speak to my own. So please don't take offense to anything that I'm about to say.
I've been doing stage Combat for 17 years. I've been doing it professionally for 13. And in that time I am only been a part of two injuries, both of them minor. Not counting the occasional bump or scrape.
We are not doing Hema, or sword fighting, or martial arts. This is one-hundred-percent choreographed. The safeties we have in place our what stop us from hurting our partner. Yes, at a higher level there is an expectation that our partner is going to remember the choreography and block, but I still have to be able to stop if they mess up or forget. And that's where the safeties come into place.
I just realized your sleeve tattoo looks like Ichigo's bankai chain when he fought Ascended Aizen. Pretty cool.
This is so much more interesting than your other content omg
Ngl, when he said better looking casting, I thought he meant using a good looking guy to cast in the scene😅
Instructions unclear: have committed several manslaughters
Cleft him in twain 💀
very cool! wouldntve ever thought of that
So... In medieval times in Europe, how many kings and soldiers wanted to learn from this guy?? 🤔🤔🔥🤔
I cant help but instantly think of all the people that smacked someone in the hesd or collarbone after watching this 😅
Time to try this after practicing basics.
Update: my opponent used gun, because it's the modern era he said.
Stage Combat
Love it
Better looking casting. If your cast is hot, no one will notice the combat
This is really cool!
You have more tattoos than I remember
Not what I expected when you mentioned better looking casting.
I thought you meant Chris Hemsworth over Chris Farley
That man fears nothing
I remember beating the hell out of one another with sticks as kids lol
Want to make it more epic, aim for the blade.
Reverse grip with a grate sword?
hey, make a video about rapier's in war, please?
Neat
New reverse grip strategy at the end there
At first sight I thought you put yourself two times in the video
Did you guys see how Shadiversity is trying to create a practical Collosal sword?
I honestly expected "better looking casting" to involve a group of attractive opponents...
Bro the other dude must be sweating
Wht are you dressed like the Dread Pirate Roberts?
YES I THOUGHT THAT TOO
Because he doesn't want to be maidenless
Is it me, or there's 2 of them now
He cloned himself.
It is wise to use the weight of the sword to your advantage. Following through is basic.
So what you're saying is... I can try this at home?
lol I do this with my brotha XD
Instructions unclear, I am now wanted for triple homicide!
Uh oh...
We have this sense of fairness concerning sword fighting but I would wager 99.9% of historical sword fights weren't fair for multiple reasons.
"Cleft him in twain" why are you speaking so vintage man it's 2023 now.
My dumbass thought you meant casting as in spells as to make gish spellcasting look cool
What is happening here ???
Stage combat tip to make it look more realistic
get back to footwork
Love it
