After doing a little linguistic research, I found out that the words "Vlahos" (greek) and Wales (Welsh etc.) both come from the same ancient germanic root- word "Walha" which was referred to all the latin speaking people of the Roman Empire. Nowadays, in Greece "Vlahos" is a person who speaks the vlahic dialect, but it is also a common surname (not as common as Papadopoulos!). So, your name and your origin are not quite contradictory, after all, Mr Vlahos.
I am Greek. My grandmother's surname is Vlahos and i soike with Alex about it 2 weeks ago in CloudsCon in Paris. This name is very common but in Greece, Vlahos means he who lives in villages up the mountains
SAGE ANGEL WILLIAMS The lady on the left touched him with concern, because he was grinding without looking at his fingers. I think most people who ever did that have this fear or grinding their fingers as a result of not being careful enough, so it's an automatic response when they see somebody doing that. That's what the comment above is about. ;)
ecw199 Thank you!! very interesting..(seemed they were saying more than what was translating! ;) I never watch TV in USA), but bumped in to the "Versailles" series recently - FORMIDABLE!!! :) ...I love what Alex stated in an article abt that series-- "too much gratuitous sex" (basically) was a bit degrading for the actors.. (I had to turn down volume & not look during some of the gory parts!--- that is what happens when you are not constantly programmed by TV/Hollywood normalization of certain behaviors, imo)
My mother's family is welsh... burton & morris....commenting from pennsylvania... love Versailles, and their talented actors...
I know! I spent most of the interview not listening but worrying about his fingers!
Alexander nice :-)
El sería mi cena😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

By that the surname Vlahos in Greece has a different meaning than the one you gave. We are full of such villages since we are full of mountains
Alexander Vlahos is an excellent actor. (Why did they make him grate cucumber and garlic?? WTH!!)
Thank God i'm not the only one concerned 10:21
