Most often, male actors do have to keep their hair in short styles so they can be more suited for contemporary roles they might be offered. A short-haired man can wear a long wig and look convincing, but not the other way around. Even when their full-time gig calls for long hair, it takes YEARS to get it from your scalp to your chest, and by the time they grow it that long (if their gig isn’t already over!), likely their natural hair will look too different from the wig they’ve been fitting them with for so many seasons. (In fact, George was specifically told not to try and grow it because his natural hair is too thick and textured.) So no.. sadly it’s just not practical for male actors who want to be good for a wide variety of roles. 😕 ...Which is a shame, because I think all men look better with long hair.

Loved Season 1 and 2 of Versailles which I marathon watched. You were all magnificent, but Alex your character Phyllipe was adorable and the scenes and Chevalier de Lorraine at times were so funny and endearing. I felt there was way too much nudity and behind the scenes frolicking, but the director clearly wanted create the dark aspects of early Versailles, before God's light shined upon King Louis' life. It was truly a Masterpiece! After you watch this series and it is over, you cry from not to see the characters anymore. I just finished Season 2. Is there a Season 3? All the best you are all stellar actors! Happy summer 2018!
