Heidi Gardener wrecked me at “the pounding” and killed me with “You can feel it in your stomach”. She delivered it with a such a straight face and had me In stitches!!!

@@UHFStation1 They do a dress rehearsal about 8 hours before the actual show to make sure all the makeup, wigs and clothes will work. She definitely rehearsed it.
She sings like an angel, just not cut out for comedy ( even if her breaking was the funniest thing about the sketch ).
Heidi totally knew she was going to torpedo Adele with the delivery of the "you can feel it in your stomach" line. You can see the wind-up and everything. It was delightful.

I once read that a lot of ppl thought Adele was such a sad, serious person because of her songs' lyrics. After getting to know her, they quickly realized she was really a fun-loving goofball who loved to laugh. This skit proves it. That's gotta be a big part of why everyone loves her. People like to strip others from humanity, and treat them like beings from alternate universe - aka celebrities.

That was my favorite part of the skit, because it made fun of Americans' willful lack of knowledge with geography. Far too many of my fellow countrymen think Africa is a country.

I think I keep coming back to this particular video because of just how perfectly it was set up for Adele to break in the most catastrophic way. Unlike most sketches, there are no props and alternate camera angles for Adele to hide behind. It's one consistent angle the whole time, and you can see Adele awkwardly try to cover her face with her hands before just giving up and bending over. It must have been so hilariously painful for her to have to stand there the whole time, I love it.
Adele can make one fine actress. Her eyes, her demeanor ... very expressive. I busted out laughing her trying hard not to laugh
