Bob Sheldon's done well for himself from where he started at the old Yeoman motors shop up in Sandyford, very sparkly showroom, stinks of money from what I can see. Lovely bike mate, would have to be naked for me but if you're touring then needs must. Go steady, miles apart from a Harley, they are a "mans motor", mine frightens me to death and I know what I'm doing! Enjoy buddy! 🙃
Bloody hell, I didnt know that's who is behind it. Yeh, little bit different than that old shack of a place was. They certainly have got some go in them but I'm no Barry Sheen. Steady as she goes. Thanks
Madstad seems to be the best choice for windshield and there are bigger tail racks out there , I think the triumph is to small for larger touring packs..
I didnt see those. The guys at Triumph recommeded the Powerglide and after looking at those I thinked them. Not too big or small. I dont mind the look of the lugage on it. Not convinced the tank bank suits the bike by a long way but serves a purpose. Thanks
1 Guy, quick question. When you were riding in the wet weather, did you notice if the rear wheel spun up any mud or water on the back of your jacket or did the rear wheel license plate holder protect you from the water splash?
Both the front and rear throw up loads. I had read other people who own them say and the first time it was still a surprise. The rear plate holder makes the mud and water situation a lot worse, you can get a 'tail tidy' which is effectively getting rid of that thing and putting the plate under the seat. The front throws up even more than the back. Even Triumph have told me not to get a long front guard as that doesnt work either. Just live with it. Small price I say.

Wonderful and beautiful. Wondering whether I am going to get one as well ! I have a breakout 117. Not easy decision. No side tank protection ? Not sure it’s useful but pretty ugly for sure ! And which tires do you have Avon or Metzeler ? Apparently Avon are on early models and will be usefully replaced by metzeler. Not sure if that’s a fact.
Looks amazing , I just picked up my Storm R. Was looking at the panniers, do you think there are worth the money, seen some on Hepco and Becker as well?
I actually didnt look at any other makes. It was worth it as the deal I got from Triumph for theirs was one that I just couldn't refuse. I've heard that the zips are prone to going but they look decent to me, well make, got locks and pretty good.
Congratulations on your new Rocket 3 GT Storm! I have a 2020 version & the storm looks so much more menacing in those colours. I have all the luggage to, except the tail tidy, as i bought a non Triumph back pack to fit on the sissy bar rather than having a pack on the rear seat. the tank bag is useful, but prefer it off, as in my opinion spoils the look of the bike. I am based in Manchester and travelled up to the lakes via Carnforth - Kendal, Shap, Penrith - Alston Pass, Brampton, and reaching destination Gretna Green on Saturday, weather was better than anticipated, so managed to get lots of miles in !! With the manufacturers mini fly screen, the journey was great when not on the motorways, i like the look of the one you have had fitted - is it a PowerBronze? if so which model? I would also be interested if you have had quickshifter fitted? i do not have it but the additional cost circa £1000 seems a little high for something that is not to difficult to overcome? Do you think you will keep with the open face helmet now you have less wind protection from your HD ? Enjoy your new toy!!

It is actually needed ? Yeh I love these colours but I do like a blacked out bike. I personally think the rear tiny storage is a bit useless so if I go on big runs and need the storage I think I'll end up putting a larger bag on the rear seat and attaching that Triumph tiny bag to the rack. See how it goes. That thing gets in the way of the riders seat a little and you can feel it in your back but I'd defo recommend that screen and it was the one that all the guys at Triumph recommended. cheers mate and go safe..
@@1guyaharleyandadrone657 Thanks for the reply, just looked at Powerbronze link, it looks as though it goes over the original screen ? yours looks to be a comp[lete replacement ? Could you please confirm for me ?
I like the bike. Definitely not a traditional Triumph. Reminds me a bit of the old Henderson and Indian inline fours. It would be interesting to compare it against a Gold Wing.
Oh, one word of warning, the slightest damp road will have the back of the bike covered in filth and possibly even the back of your jacket and helmet. I bought a wrap round rear mudguard to help but it turned out to be a waste of money as it's not wide enough to be effective.however, it is still the perfect bike for me, so much so that #2 arrives next week! 😆
Excellent 😁 Somebody else has said about the back throwing up crap. Nice to know a rear guard wont work and save me potentially wasting money. Thanks again. Have fun on the new one.
All the luggage matches the bike well. Can you put that rear pack on the rack? I'd put my tent and sleeping bag roll behind me to use as a backrest. The noise? It's a predator and is supposed to be stealthy as you overtake every other bike on the road.
I've actually tried and can attached the silly little bag to the rack, great minds. This week I'm going to have a play with the luggage ready for the weekend. They can all eat mu dust 🤣 Thanks
There's a gent in Poland making a much better shield. Cacko garage shop. It looks much better and the air goes over your head. I just got one for my Triple Black GT.
How the hell did you find that place ? Just had a look and can only see stuff for the Tiger. I was a little look, I'll go through it again. Thanks very much.
With mega miles on my 2020 GT I thought I would give you my opinion. I installed the tail bag on the luggage rack because I didn't like it on the seat. It works fine but it is for sure small. No tank bag for me for sure. The windshield I had the exact one yo bought but I replaced it with a Madstad one that I like better. Not saying the Powerbronze is bad but I do prefer the Madstad, it is sturdier and easier to clean. Oh and just to let you know I still get the silly giggling and grinning when I peg the throttle even after 83,000 miles.
Hi, all good to know. Yeh I had thought of putting the little tail bag on the rack as I'm not happy with it on the rear seat. I'll only use the tank bank when I'm really short of space, dont think it looks that good. I think I'm just going to make the luggage I have fit on the rear seat for the moment. Strap it on somehow. It's all trial and error and see how things work. I did look at the screen and thought 'that might be tricky cleaning the inside' 🤣 So many people have said they have one and have had one for ages and done proper miles and still love it. Great to hear, thanks very much.
Kept my 131 Fatboy and got another Rocket 3gt a 2022 221 Edition but will be de restricting it for the same BHP and got a patriot Exhaust to go on so the best of both worlds ;0)
Excellent. I'm waiting for the after market to catch up on the Storm exhausts as the systems that fit the last model don't go on the Storm. Have fun and go safe. Thanks for watching.
@@1guyaharleyandadrone657 LOL I will tell you soon Just done 900... It's amazing... kept a couple of mates on BMW sports bikes honest on the twisties. My old Thunderbird Storm would have just kept going in a straight line... this thing just drops into the curve and powers out.

@@WeekendCarsandBikes Hi, Mine is a replacement, the old screen came off and the new fitted. Hope that helps.
what a beauty ! 👋👋👋👋👋
They look proper cool. Love a bit of blacked out finishing. Thanks very much.
Nice bike!
I think so too 🤣. Looks the parts and rides mega so cant complain. Thanks for watching.
@@1guyaharleyandadrone657 The fact that in this day and age that Triumph builds a bike like that is fantastic.
Very nice
Thank you. Love it.
I like the bike. Definitely not a traditional Triumph. Reminds me a bit of the old Henderson and Indian inline fours. It would be interesting to compare it against a Gold Wing.
Very different than a traditional you're right. They have done an incredible job on it.

😂😂😂 Zoom Zoom!
The rocket parked next to that cannon was a great shot. Enjoy!
Both absolute weapons!
Love the bike.
Cheers. Just out on this first trip now. Mega fun. Thanks for watching.
It would look ALOT better if it were Mine!😊
🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sorry 🥲
Get a front mudguard extender. Will reduce the crap on your engine. Triffic bike!
I've actually looked at them but didnt know if they were worth it. GREAT tip, thanks very much.
Can you share the windscreen link ?
I can indeed sir. It's below. Thanks

Man, you got a big ol' grin on your face when riding! Please be safe.
Funny how it does that 😁😁 I will. No Barry Sheen
WooooooHoooooooo! 👍
Indeed 😆😆😆😆😆
Ive just got mine same colour!
How mega are they !!!! Go steady. Did they tell what happens at 1000 miles ?
@@1guyaharleyandadrone657 LOL I will tell you soon Just done 900... It's amazing... kept a couple of mates on BMW sports bikes honest on the twisties. My old Thunderbird Storm would have just kept going in a straight line... this thing just drops into the curve and powers out.
So throwable around. Nice made up word. You'll notice when you hit 1000 😆
@@1guyaharleyandadrone657 I will... trying to find a road long enough to do 1000
Sw Motech pro tail bag is awesome
They look loads better. Thanks. I've got to have a play around with the luggage situation but thanks for the tip.
One more worry. Will your drone be able to keep up with that rocket?
We might have to call you one guy and a rocket, or have you seen my drone?
🤣Not sure about that one but I'll be fun finding out. Might be one for this weekend.
You lucky bugger.
😅 err thank you. Very lucky I know. Thanks for watching
Man, what have you done with the windsreen? It is ugly! I removed the original from my GT at all. I don't understand, why many moto riders are afraid of the fresh air...
😅 Dude, I've spend thousands and thousands of miles on a Road Kind with no screen at all, defo not afraid of a bit of fresh air. But you have got to agree that spending hours and hours at 70mph with no screen gets a bit annoying. I was never prepared to put a screen on the Harley because it would look crap but I think this bike can pull it off. Each to their own I guess. I want to go some bigger miles on this and it makes sense. Cheers
1 Guy a Where's Harley and a Drone
The Harley is waiting for an MOT unfortunately. Caught me out that one 😂
Horrendous.... each to their own.. good luck touring with that.
You might be in the minority there but as you say each to their own. I reckon I'll fill it up with stuff. Cheers.
One Guy a Drone and a Beast 😂 Scott what a great machine. Love it. Good to see you again and on form. Looking forward to more of your adventures. Stay safe 👍 Dave k 🏍️🇩🇪R100rs ‘78
