- Plus, even though he doesn't partake, Al loves stoners. Mostly because it's so easy to make them laugh.

"I never took drugs because I figured that'd make me act normal."
- Weird Al 2016
yeah, he's weird like that...
Words to live by!
I'm sure he was joking, but drugs actually can do that....I suffer from a lot of physical diseases and symptoms, and drugs makes me normal, but at times it sucks 'cause I can never get high, and I can never get drunk either, bc my body doesn't react to stimulants...And like any other person, I too want to relax at times, I can't do any of that :/
@@tinkerbellspixiedust8820 Alcohol is not a stimulant but a cns depressant, but I have known people that cannot get drunk so not disputing that.
@@EgadsNo Ï meant stimulant/tion in a broader sense....since my physical pain gets worse when stimulated by lights/sound & seems to be connected, ofc you're right abt the term, so thx for adding more context, did these ppl react to alcohol at all, and would they experience hangovers, even if they didn't ?
i was at the concert in poughkeepsie when he fell off the stage. 95 96 i think. it was a halloween show so he wore the wrong costume for each song and did the nirvana song while wearing the fat suit. He gargles water at one point and spits it on the stage, and.... then slipped in the puddle in his fat suit. Hit the ground 5 feet down from the stage and then popped right back up, to cheers and applause and kept going. I love that man.
It was 2000, not 1996
It's amazing how people like Weird Al and Frank Zappa, two of the weirdest and craziest musicians, never touched drugs. You'd think they would be the ones always on them but they're just naturally loopy and insanely imaginative musicians. Other musicians needed the drugs to write weird/trippy music, but these guys didn't. Truly impressive.
Weird Al is cool but nowhere near the originality and skill of Frank Zappa
As a fellow eccentric, I can completely related. Drugs are for humans who do not naturally start off the beaten path. :)
@@joewhitlow5799 I mean how could he be? You'd be hard pressed to find a single musician who matched his skills as a guitarist composer and bandleader. But for what it's worth Al gives him a run for his money the man is no slouch, has one of the hardest working and most talented bands working right now and I have no doubt they could play their fair share of Zappas music. If you don't believe me check out their Zappa style-parody, "Genius In France"
Didn't Frank smoke a lot? I know it's a to the level of say coke but it's still a drug
Needed is a bit of an insult.
Show me your album.
His band is one of the most versatile bands in the industry.
kreamowheat ya they don't get the respect they deserve they have been with him every step of the way
The same guys - with the same manager - have been together for over 40 years and have had no breakups, no drama and have remained friends throughout. I can't think of any other performer or group that can touch that except for perhaps 'Rush' (those are great guys too, and long time friends).
And they’ve been with him for along time
You fell off the stage BECAUSE of the suit, Al.
Hmm...did the suit save him the two times he fell off the stage or did he fall off the stage two times because he was wearing the suit......
Yes
+Philip Winn lmao!
Oh by the way I’ve cracked the code.....
Lol...I guess we'll never know :-P
"...Suit! ...Suit!! ...SUIT!! ...SUIT!!!"
(Only Think Suit)
Like Keanu, Weird Al Yankovic is immortal, doesn't age, and will never die.
that would be awesome!
Keanu, Weird Al and Paul Rudd walk into a tavern,
not the start of a joke, just something i saw in one of my history books about the 1600s.
@@RaptorJesus. I've never actually contemplated the fact that I will see the death of these three in the news at some point.
At least I hope so.
He's a zombie of course he doesn't
My forever image of Weird Al is being "The Happiest Human Being Alive". Whether representative of reality or not, who knows, but that's who he is in my head. He's amazing.
Saw Weird Al's show in Miami. Was my first time seeing him perform, and it was truly one of the most fun concerts I've ever been to! Highly recommend going to one of his tour dates if you never have! I guarantee you'll leave smiling!
Yes, I saw him for the first time 3 days ago in El Paso. It was great, he leaves you wanting more.
I've seen him like 7 times and every show was more amazing than the last.
Although, my favorite memory was of the last show I went to, and he was performing Wanna b ur lovr the man touched my cheek and sang how I tasted like lucky charms. Best moment ever.
+AlexaArsenic Wnna be ur lover was hilarious :)
The Beatles and Hoobastank, what more can you ask for? xD
A collaboration between Hoobastank, Paul McCartney and RIngo Starr.
he is one of those guys that I remember from the 90s and Im surprised to see he is still active and relevant today.
huh? he's been around since the 80's.
I know. but I first saw him in the 90s
Minus the relevant part.
he seems pretty relevant
Cody Lobato actually from mid 70
How on earth do you manage to look the same age as you did in the 80s? Thats insane, good for him. Luv his oldies :P
Pseudonayme 77 no drugs or alcohol i believe.
Ask Geddy Lee of Rush
It's genetics mostly. Some people just age better.
0:55 seconds i dunno wot the girl shouted but Als face LMAO
You know you're weird when you're concerned that taking drugs might make you normal. :D I love Weird Al!
1:26 He also takes up seven rows in the movies.
Hello to Conan's staff who are uploading all those videos !
...maybe that's the "various duties" Jordan Schlansky does as an executive producer. uploads youtube videos...and hides espresso machines from the rest of the office.
From the rest of the American fools
Saw Weird Al in concert. Loved it. Most entertaining concert artist EVER!
0:53, what WAS that? Some random person shouted something out, Al clearly noticed it, but Conan ignored it.
Brandon Davidson "Show your face"?
He looks 20 years younger than he is, not even close to being 56!
Pause at 1:36 , he sweats through his clothes like me LOL
"like me" lol. i do too, we should start a club with Weird Al.
Going to see Weird Al August 2nd! Can't wait!
If it's your first time, it is going to be amazing. If it's your fiftieth time, it will still be amazing! Have a great time!
It's a whole lot of fun!!
I WISH i was gonna see him here on August 3.. but its the same night as Duran Duran, and im gonna be working at that one instead. But DAMMIT i wanna see Weird Al!!
The show was so funny I literally crapped my pants.....(:>) Seriously great show! Also the UHF posters are for sale. They're really expensive $50 but from what I heard from Weird Al at the post show meet and greet they sat in his garage for 30 years and he's breaking them out to sell.
i died when he said hoobastank!
When "Weird Al" gives better disclosures than most youtubers
0:53 That expression is pure gold!!!!!!
I hope he never dies.
Too late. He blew his brains out in the late 80s cuz people stopped buying his records.
How does that explain him getting to number one on the Billboard charts?
If you want to tick off a fanbase by insulting the fame of the artist, make sure the person is somewhat underground.
Easy killer. It was a king of the hill reference. I love al.
Kickex Silver well....your hopes are dead. He will die just like everyone else. You should rather hope for some realistic things
Lucky for you he seems to keep himself in good health. He looks like he's in his 20s but he's more than twice that age.
His live performances are mind blowing.
i'm so happy. he's been in the business since before i was born and here he is in the spotlight.
He's not joking about the costume changes. If you EVER get a chance to see him live, do so. Saw him on the Running With Scissors tour: 15-20 full songs, a polka medley of his other hits, 7+ costume changes, "intermission" videos of AlTV and The Weird Al Show, easily one of my top 3 concerts of all time.
This is a really fantastic interview.
They should do a Serious Jibber Jabber one day.
I've always kinda' wanted to trick some random kid into believing that I'm them from the future.
Go for it!!! :D
“Very famous people who played the Hollywood bowl like the Beatles…uhh Hoobastank…” 😂🤣😂
Al's awesome. Love his personality.
if Weird Al would dye his hair gray he would become dr Brown from Back To The Future.
Conans stuff always has such a positive vibe to it
Remember an article I just randomly saw when I was younger about Als parents pasted away due to a carbon monoxid accident and thought that would probably be the end of his comedy. However it's great to see Weird Al still going strong.
These are my 2 heroes in life, I grew up watching Conan, and listening to weird A. Both are extremely funny and good people. One day I will meet them, but most likely not at the same time.
0.52 Haha! That look!
He's hair looks like mine when I'm not stressed
Weird Al Yankovic is my spirit animal
He’s my patronus that’s what it said on the internet atleast
i feel like weird al is conan's distant cousin of the same ilk
He died in 1985. RIP
i hope Weird Al would visit Chile in his world tours, even if he's too weird for us
Si weon, sería maravilloso
wena qlio
Wena wn, bacán saber que no soy el único culiao al que le gusta este weon en Chile xD
Hagamosun grupo de fans chilenos de weird al xc
En todo caso, eso es lo que falta :/
At the end, it sounded like Conan started to say, "such an honor" but stopped and said, "such a great guy."
No, he said “Such a nice-such a great guy.”
I'd really like to meet Al in person. . .he seems like such a cool guy
Weird Al and Conan is a match made in heaven!
Hoobastank was a real band youngsters
This interview reminded me that I need a new weird al shirt.
AL for President 2016. Why choose the lesser of the two evils!
But then he can't perform and make songs
He would do a parady of Syria instead of bombing them.
Make America Weird Again!
Weird Al is a legend :D :D
Pause at 1:29. You're welcome America.
How wholesome.
It is amazing when you mention you get stoned, drink, or do drugs, you usually get applause of some kind, but nothing when you say you have never done drugs.
I was at the Hollywood Bowl for his performance!
I, too, was told I was HILARIOUS to all my stoner friends. I myself tried it, didn't like it, it gives me anxiety, but I also enjoyed being around stoners, they made me feel great, lol
Love the misdrection in the joke at 3:00
Oh my, i love to hangout with weird-al yankovic. What a cool guy.
I was a geek growing up, and the first time I saw his name, I thought it said Weird AI, as in A.I. (artificial intelligence).
I legit got nightmares when i saw eat it for the first time.
Seen them numerous times...very talented
This man is a national treasure
i love yankovic's face
Weird al... what a legend lol the night Santa went crazy is so awesome... especially since it's a parody of Black Gold BY soul asylum which is just awesome
Pretty sure it’s an original and done in the style of Black Sabbath
@@jetnut89 I think its more ozzy than sabbath but we're both right it definitely borrows from Black gold though %100
@@jetnut89 I just looked it up actually it borrows from Black gold by soul asylum, Mama I'm coming home from by ozzy, and I believe in the father Christmas by Greg Lake so yeah we were both right
"I do not do drugs. I am drugs." -Dahli
the fat suit was probably the cause of weird al falling off stage
It looks like Conan, is really a fan of Weird Al.
Get him on Game Grumps
He looks like Honey Boo Boo's mom at 1:00!
He has to be a healthy guy cause he looks young
He's been a vegetarian for about 30 years now and has never done drugs or drank alcohol
Happy Birthday Al!
I'm still trying to figure out what that lady yelled out 😂
I wanna see Weird Al and Lady Gaga team up
He looks like the mom from Honey Boo Boo when he's in the Fat suit.
Conan’s and Weird Al’s types of humor are completely incompatible, but they are both over-acted, silly, and awesome.
he weirdly looks a little like bruce cambell
My very first concert was Weird Al!
0:54 Winona Ryder facer
In the one second al raised his arms I saw the biggest pit stains
Has he ever been at SNL? If the answer is no, I have to ask WHY??
The Doors performed at the Hollywood Bowl
Weird Al is amazing.
Congrats Conan on 4200000 subs.
Weird Al is the best!
I wonder what Al is planning for his next song
the fat suit is the bomb
Jessica cikovic That's what the fans in the front rows said. :-D
He looks like Tiny Tim.
Was excited to see him talking about Fat, then I realized what year the video was from..
Still the coolest man alive
Full disclosure? Is that an Addams family reference?
Conan looks like a middle-aged woman to me xP. Love the guy, he's my favourite American host (if not the ONLY host I like), but I can't unsee middle-aged orange-haired lady, lol.
He's the man
At 5'9, I would feel a little emasculated being interviewed on that tall ass stool.
Your videos are so funny and silly 😜
He reminds me of Tiny Tim
Attention NFL!
We want Al for the Halftime show!!!
Thanks the fans
The BEST!!!!
I’m his next bassist!
Al looks great for 74
Lol he was 57 here. He's only 62 now
This guys my dad now
Does this guy never age
I’m seeing him live
I just want him to be my uncle
