My 2018 5.0 f150 10 speed transmission I bought used was horrible. Harsh shifts and boggy! I took it to the dealership and he said the same thing he gave me an option to clear the adaptive learning or completely turn it off And let it shift the way Ford wants it to shift. I chose that to go ahead and turn it off and wow it made a world of difference! It runs so much better now with adaptive learning turned off! Mind blown!
@@livenfree two years ago. As it happens, my transmission (according to the dealership) “exploded inside in a way we have never seen before!” I had extended warranty and the car was less than three years old, so Ford covered a new transmission and I have followed your advice since the day I picked it up.
Thank you for taking the time to post your videos. I bought a used Escape that had an odd 2nd to 3rd shift (about 5k rpm) and harsh down shifts. I saw this video and reset the tables this morning before running some errands. ALL of my shifts smoothed out. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I have a 2012 3.0 limited flex fuel with 176k and I've put almost 16k miles on since the reset. My scan tool broke, or I would have tried that method. There is another video on here that shows a method involving gas pedal presses and turning the ignition on and off if i recall correctly. I cannot guarantee this will work for newer models. I will try to find the exact one I used and share the link. Sorry it took this long to reply, new phone and notifications are off.
Keep the great videos coming. Excellent info and informative. I worked at 2 dealerships in the late 80's and I still see alot of guys who are not techs, they are parts changers. You go in depth and know the sub systems and the details. Very good sir. Thank you.

I just want to say a big thank you to Mr Ford Tech! I was on my way home from work @ 1 at night driving very lackadaisical and my truck unlearned how to shift and got stuck in third gear. When I pulled and shifted into park I noticed it shift real hard. I was very scared but instantly went to You Tube and found this video. Problem fixed instantly!!!! I can’t say thanks enough!!!!!

Ford probably hates this guy because he makes it so easy to repair things on your own for the most part you don't have to get your car fixed by a professional
Six years later and I am here finding help. I am now in search of a nicer bidirectional tool and I will try to clean the ALT on my Ford Escape and see how things go! Thank you for such a helpful and well-done-no-time-to-waste video!
Just what I was about to ask. Is this something a person can go buy for a reasonable price or is this the type of scanner you have to to go to the dealership to use?
@@christophermoody6840 I could not find a tool on the cheap side that would give me the command to clean the ALT. I decided to invest and got a good deal with an XTool on eBay (I bought the DS9 Pro). But when I was researching I found some information on Reditt that the fordscan could be used to clean ALT. Now I am playing around with the DS9 Pro but already was able to reset the lines - in my case unfortunately I did not notice a big difference in the hard shift so I am still investigating what is up with my car....
Thank you Soooo much. My used 19 was shifting rough between 4-5. They just cleared the adaptive tables and it drives so much better now. It feels great. Thank you
I have a 2013 utility. How’d you get forscan ? Lmao crazy I’m asking but I’ve heard about it quite a bit. What do YOU use to connect it from your computer to the car
I took it to two different Ford dealers with the 16 fusion while it was still under factory warranty and they tell me that they are unable to duplicate the shift issues. A.K.A. "please leave because we don't have a clue" Thanks for the great information.
*** UPDATE *** I was able to use a tool made by MAC and was able to perform ut he adaptive table then I relearned the transmission. So far so good. I did this about a month ago.
Just did this on 11/ 11 / 2022 - bought a 2007 Hybrid and just did this today. It was revving to 5000 RPM while driving from 50 mph to 70 mph. It also was trying to shift gears between 3 and 4th - i don't believe it has 5 gears. At any rate, did this - and it WORKED! The truck I bought only had 130 miles on her. Seller told me about the high rpms, but when I drove it - the truck wasn't slipping gears, it just felt to me that the computer needed to be reset. It's like this A LOT with BMWs too - but with them you don't need to hook up anything to reset the drive tables.
You are the BEST brother, very clear and informative in all your videos. I usually don’t comment but I have to take my hat off and salute you for your tremendous knowledge and help to all of us that are looking for Mechanical honest advice. God Bless you🙏
My 2011 F150 Lariat drove rough and clunky, harsh shifting. Fortunately, I had a scan tool and Forscan program from when I programmed my keys. I was able clear the transmission adaptive tables. It drives like a new truck. Thank you!
Good info!! This guy is awesome, I can't tell you how much I've learned from this guy his videos are great so far I fixed 4 problems on my F150 just by watching his videos. Hopefully this will fix the shift issue on my wifes Mercury Mariner I'll find out later tonight. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
I love your videos....you give the nitty gritty details with such things as the memory and adaptive learning of modern Ford transmissions, only a few master techs usually know the very fine details to these things regarding computerized adaptive transmissions.
I've had issues with the DSP6 transmission in my Fiesta. It wasn't shifting right and would sometimes leave me with no power at all until it decided to shift. All I knew was that it was a transmission control module malfunction. Well after thousands of miles I got home and hooked it up to my wifi odb2 tool and cleared all the codes and honestly didn't imagine it would resolve my transmission issues. I was just trying to see if I had any other faults. It did however fix my transmission completely. I was able to do 90 at 4k while before I couldn't do 80 without pushing 5k. And it hasn't slipped once. Also i've been getting 41 mph average which I have never seen in the year i've owned it let alone on this road trip where it would have saved me $200. Oh and I am certain Ford would have insisted I needed clutch or transmission service, well hopefully my friend wouldn't have screwed me as he was an adult leader of mine when I was in Scouts. But if it wasn't for having a friend on the inside I wouldn't have trusted Ford not to rob me blind.
My Lincoln MKS was shifting hard and I had a high-end scan to clear the transmission learning a few minutes it was hard shifting for a while after 15 minutes of driving it shift smooth as butter thanks you saved my life 😁
Thank you, very informative. Looking at buying '14 Fusion Titanium, 2.0 FWD that is shifting hard. Most online info states it's a known problem that Ford will not address. Your info makes me more optimistic it can be resolved. Thanks again!
Learned something today I never knew ! I have a 2017 Escape with the 2.0. I drive normal and pretty easy. Once in a while I "lay into it" and thought I had a trans problem. When I pull away from a light or stop sign real hard It revs real high like the trans is slipping going into 2nd or 3 rd gear. It only does it 1 time. From then on, it shifts fine when I "lay into it". A few days later it does that again. Only once, then fine after that. Didn't know the trans "learns" like the video shows. Saved me a trip to the dealer to tell them I might have low trans fluid and its slipping. Its under warranty, and no dipstick to check the fluid. Saved me a trip to the dealer !!
dannyg40, I have the same.. '2017 Escape with the 2.0. I bought it used only a few weeks ago. I've noticed the exact same transmission quirks you had... 2nd and 3rd gear, but lay into it, then it goes away for a day or two. So my question is.. did you follow through with the direction from the video? Put a scan tool on it and clear adaptive trans program?
I had that even in my 1999 Expedition, i learn about it the hard way my bad driving habits were costing me around 350 to 400 in fuel a month... i changed my way of driving and had the computer reset at my regular repair shop and things changed drastically...
What scanner are you using to do the reset? I'm looking online and see a couple stand-alone hand scanners and another one using a laptop's USB and software to connect to the car. I'm not wanting to waste money on guessing what scanner I should buy. I have a 2017 Ford Transit Connect if that helps.
thank you so much for this video, I am experiencing light upshift/downshift issues with the 8F35 transmission, will try to teach it so it shifts according to my style.
What I thought was a transmission issue on my 2012 Jetta was actually in fact a super sticky throttle valve! The car had been jerking very harshly on acceleration and deceleration and I automatically assumed it was transmission and was about to do a fluid exchange, then I got lucky lol and check engine light came on (for something else) and I had to get in the throttle body and discovered it was absolutely black and had major buildup - spray a little throttle body cleaner and VOILA!!!!! Maybe this could also help somebody else….
awesome video. Im having transmission shifting issues on my 2012 edge. Well not really issues, it just shifts increadably slow and sometimes the downshift is not the smoothest at low speeds. I am going to give this a try. I am also going to make a How to Video similar to yours using the autel Maxisys (hope you don't mind). Keep up the good work.
The 6F50 has a technical bulletin service. The OSS and TSS sensors are prone to have a intermediate short in one of those sensors. It will not show up on diagnostic check. Only way to solve the problem is to replace both the OSS and TSS. According to the 6f50 transmission manual the Adaptive memory can be reset if the battery is disconnected for more than 20 minutes
Thanks for the explanation of the "learning cycle" after clearing codes. Every time I disconnected the battery - hence clearing the codes - on a 1999 Windstar (the famous 171-174 lean) I used to go thru a bunch of steps in an "OBD2 run cycle" - better performed at a time with NO traffic at all- and now I am glad I did as this cycle was not just aimed at clearing the emission codes(...)
You do NOT clear the transmission tables by disconnecting the battery...it does not do that...it will clear your check engine light but any issues will turn it back on. Your transmission tables have to be cleared via a software scan tool like Forscan
You make a series of excellent videos. You mention the use of a technicians tool to upload the latest transmission firmware. As most of your followers aren't technicians, what Windows programs (preferably free) can be used with a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle that will allow this type of checking versions, uploading and clearing of the TCM?
The trouble with this adaptive learning is driving conditions change . In normal driving your shifts are smooth, but when you have to get on it the shifts become hard. Adaptive learning just doesn't adjust to instant changes.
Heavy duty trucks and SUVs don't come manual...a cloth can't possibly last 20 years man, that's impossible...I've done things with automatic transmissions that'd burn a manual quickly...
The escapes he’s driving in this video came with a manual! I was going to buy one but it doesn’t have a handbrake, idiots get really close to your bumper where I live and getting a heavy front wheel drive vehicle going on a slope without rolling back is possible but a lot of concentration every time I’d have to do it lol. So I opted for an auto instead. Kinda regret it though
Again very informative video. I have a thinkdiag obd scanner with transmission reset. Can I use this to clear the adaptive transmission and let the vehicle re-learn? Thank you
Very interesting. I stumbled across a similar thing on a 2002 BMW I bought used. It had a hard down shift 2-1. I lived with that for years until the battery died. After replacing it, the shifts were smooth so I figured it had adaptive learning which was reset by disconnecting the battery. Wish I had done that years before. Now I have a 2013 Ford Escape and it often has a hard shift going up from 2-3. It's a shame it can't be reset by disconnecting the battery.
Brian as always great video. I have a couple questions. How do I update the TCM and/or PCM? Is that a dealer only service? Also can FORSCAN be used to clear out the learned shift points? Thanks again.
@@livenfree updating is a dealer only action...they never do it for free 😡😡 Forscan can clear the transmission tables. I used it on my 2011 XLT Escape and it's free!! Just need to correct ODBII adapter
@@FordTechMakuloco I just want to know what a harsh shift is, because my 2009 ford focus doesn't seem to have a set shift rpm, like my older vehicles I have driven, and the further I press the pedal, the more RPMs it takes before shifting gears, and it will usually shift in such a way as to snap my neck forward and back in a jerking motion, now and again
@@northwiebesick7136 I would define a harsh shift as very noticeable, and based on tachometer rpm readings, if you feel the shift it's too hard; the best shift you'll never notice and they'll be soft. I myself gotta get the KAM reset in my taurus sho because the previous owner raced it and it shifts hard even with light throttle input.
@@brentneahring2797 so if you feel a bit of a tug or jerk on shift, you would consider that a harsh shift??? I'll have to hook my reader up and reset the learning tables then...
Could you do a video on communicating with your service advisor? I have experienced difficulty getting warranty diagnostic time spent on intermittent or less noticable problems. I'll admit they can be harder to find, but on a couple instances I have had to pay an independent shop to diagnose and report an issue so I can get Ford to honor their warranty. For someone like me who takes it in for a strange nosie before the engine grenades you would think they would appreciate that.
try another ford dealer? if theres one close by. if its an intermittent issue its really hard for the flat rate guys to spend any time on the vehicle when they can't duplicate the concern within first road test. try and find a way to duplicate the concern so they service advisor can leave that on the work order. lots of service advisors are duds and don't know anything about vehicles..its just a place to be to get money. there is some pretty ridiculous complaints that dealers get on weird noises. sometimes its in the customers head. sometimes it just takes complaining to your salesman and the service manager. our two foreman work on some really stupid complaints but they get er done for the customer.
This is why i buy vehicles out of warranty. I end up fixing it anyway... i find the whole "arguing" with someone who has never held a wrench thing more tiring and frustrating than lying on a creeper with mercon v dripping in my ears
Thanks man. I bought a used 2015 v8 while ago. I love it and drive it like granny would mainly cause I work nights & deer are suicidal here. I wanted to blow some carbon out and feel the power so I drove like a 16 year old boy one day. Next few days I get hard shifts like I'm in sport mode.
Thanks for a very informative video. So going uphill under load during the 6-5 down shift at 70 mph an inconsistent (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't) hard shift occurs on our 2013 Escape. Do you think this procedure would resolve this issue?
Hey Brian, I don't know if you'll see this or not but, here goes. . . My wife's 2013 Ford Expedition's battery was too low to start the vehicle this morning. I put on a jump pack for a couple of minutes, started the vehicle and took her to work. The transmission "Felt" funny at first, almost like the parking brake was left on, but it wasn't. As we got going, I realised that the transmission wasn't shifting through the gears at all, like being stuck in third gear. It goes into park, neutral, reverse fine but in Drive, it doesn't shift through the gears. Downshifting from Drive to 3, 2, and 1 has no effect. (I didn't think to select the "Tow" button.) I figure that it has to be either a fuse or somehow the Adaptive Tables were dumped/scrambled, but I don't know. The only difference between today and it shifting correctly yesterday is the battery going down overnight (11.8 Volts when I put the jump pack on.) I called my dealership to ask the technician that normally works the 5.4s and transmissions (A great Guy) but, alas, he has left the dealership and is now driving Over the Road Trucks and the dealership has no 5.4L Dude at this time (One is at school and won't be back for a couple of weeks). And the newer Service Reps don't allow the customers to talk directly to the technicians (The older ones knew me well and it was "nothting but a thang" to do so before. (I'm not exactly their "Normal" Customer, do the majority of my own work and have purchased 5 or 6 vehicles from them.)). So, there is no one there to go to for advice any more. let alone a tachnician that can work on it at the moment. I "Think" that I may be able to get it from watching this video and using Forscan or Xtool Anyscan. or at least try. If there is anything that you can think of that may help point me in the right direction or tips, tricks and things to look for, I would really appreciate your input. I wib;r be dong it until later this afternoon. Thanks in advance. Keith Hailey ****UPDATE**** The old battery was toast. 5 years and 1 month old. Put in a known good battery, same issue. (I was sure hoping that a shift solenoid hadn't been damaged by the low voltage). Used Forscan (Xtool Anyscan was a waste of time for this) and cleared the adaptive tables and followed your instructions on the relearn. The Expedition shifts like a new vehicle now, even better than before it went out. Thanks again for your videos. You've save us a ton of money over the years. The 2001 Windstar still purrs like a kitten and runs like a well oiled sewing machine with no leaks at 171K, thanks to your teaching.
The 2013+ escape have a 6f35 transmission which he mentions in the first half of the video when he’s talking about the different transmissions that are adaptable. So yes you can
2015 transit t350 code p0715 Mr. tech. Glad I found your channel. I have a 15 transit 350 with 3.7. 6r80. I have been having this vibration sound for a long time, I would describe it like a low bass sound, from big sound system. It comes and goes at any speed above prob 40mph. It will sometimes happen every few seconds and it last for a second or 2. We now have 135k and it started 50k or so ago. I have taken it to several shops and they all say it’s tires or shocks or something and never fixed the problem. Last week I was headed up in elevation on a road trip, no trailer. And I was noticing the rpm would bounce +\- 200, when the sound happens. Then, the sound went away. Approx 50miles later I noticed fluid getting on my rear Windows. I kept driving and made it the next 100 miles to our destination. During the 100 miles, it didn’t ever shift down when pulling hills, it stayed in 6. Even if I manually tried selecting another gear, it wouldn’t allow me to change. After getting into town, I shut it off and when restarted tried, it shifts hard to reverse and drive. It operated fine in R. But feels like I’m still starting in a higher gear. We trailered it back to our town. Where I now have it and am ready to work on it. What are your thoughts? I purchased: lead frame, case of fluid, filter, and it was all here by the time we got home. Now I’m thinking torque converter too. Or am I too far into it and should just bite bullet and order a trans? Where would the fluid have come from? It looks wet on bottom of bell housing…
I did a trans drain and fill and maf sensor cleaning and air filter replacement on a 2013 taurus and when I started it up the gear engagement was violent and it instantly thew 2 codes and it was because I didn't pluf in the maf sensor and after I saw that I plugged it in restared the car and drove fine. Since then the shifting has been a little erratic, I've driven about 500 miles since and it hasn't changed much.
My transmission (6f35) shifts great in every gear except the first to second shift! It’s so iffy. One time you don’t even feel it and the next there’s a slight to kinda harsh bump. It’s so frustrating lol.
Mine too. And it jerks to the left. I assume it's low transmission. I have a ford escape hybrid 2007. Never added fluid. It's behind front tire. Kind of inconvenient to access.
Thank you. Always great and informative videos. This one cost transmission shops a lot of easy money. Now.. I just need the right scan tools for this '13 Fusion.
I have a scan tool to reset the learning. My cars gets a 2-3 shift hang then bump into 3rd. Resetting the learned shifts fixes the problem. 100% perfect shifts for about 150 miles then it slowly comes back. By 500 miles or so the same 2-3 shift is back. Dealer tells me this is normal. I know its not normal, its just nobody knows how to fix it. You can read ALL day on google about people having trouble with the 2-3 shift in the fusions
Does it stall after filling up the gas stank? If so, the car's purge valve might be clogged up or faulty. My car never stalled, but it came close once or twice. Then the Check Engine Light came on after I started to notice it was using more gas than usual and the exhaust fumes smelled a bit rich, as if some of the gas wasn't being burned properly. Took it to the dealer a month before the CEL came on and they found nothing. Of course, once the CEL came on they found the issue and replaced the purge valve. To be honest, if you're handy with you tools, buy the purge valve from a trusted ebay seller and replace it yourself. It'll save you about $300. But of course, first run an OBD scanner on your car and see if the P144A fault is found. If that fault comes up, it's confirmation that the purge valve is the culprit.
Really appreciate your videos. I have a 2012 escape and i think this is my issue. I am up to schedule on my fluid changes, transmission change, and transfer case fluids especially. Currently experiencing hard shifting, shakes at acceleration at times. Wife was primary driver until recently. Transmission fluid is clean and at right levels. Hoping this is it. Should dealership be able to reset tables?
If you buy an used vehicle i recommend to take it to get deep scanned and get the stats reset... a good scanner can be found at a professional shop , the scanner used for example in autozone just tells you basic information...you want a scanner that can go to the main computer memory center... on vehicles computer, he mentions 06s and up but in reality vehicles have been bringing this feature since 1980s since computerized technology was implemented even carburetor models as long as it had that metal box the OEM computer under the dashboard you were set up for trouble...the modules known in trans am and Camaro from the 80s were known as TPI EMC computers.
@@josmarz3841 Any suggestions for a scan tool I could buy and perform this work? I am just a vehicle owner so would have to be a reasonable priced item...THANKS!
US domestic Ford, Lincoln, Mercury vehicle calibration firmware updates are available from: www.motorcraftservice.com/ In addition to the calibration firmware updates a Ford Integrated Diagnostic Software (IDS) or Ford VCM/VMM or the Ford Module Programming (FMP) software or Webflash application with a J2534 compliant interface module or high end aftermarket bidirectional scantool/programmer system is required.
the dealership did this to my 2011 ranger 4.0 sport and now I cant go over 95 mph without it bucking. before they did the so called pcm upgrade I could out run a hemi charger and leave them in the dust.
if it has an OBD2 computer (ECU, PCM...) it has basic learning adapatibility with saved data points: fuel trims, shift solenoids. Good technology is seemless, not painful.
Ford money maker just trying to squeeze out a few more MPG! The Ford Festiva did 40 MPG with a carburetor! With all the technology available today we are still going backwards meanwhile the buyer get's to foot the bills for Auto Makers useless experimenting increased maintenance, programming etc.
You're absolutely right about this. Yet manufacturers like Kia, Toyota, Honda, etc have managed to do this easily. But then you get to Ford and it's like... "shuddering transmission, but everything works the way it should!" My 2013 Corolla was averaging 26/34 (MPG) and it didn't have to "learn how I drive". My 2014 Focus is a constant reminder of Ford and how they take shortcuts. I feel like if you're going to buy a Ford, you better get an extended warranty and possibly a secondary vehicle to drive around when your Ford is in the shop.
@@barondystopia Bought a '13 Focus (power shift trans) a year ago with 56k miles on clock. The car initially had a slight judder when starting out. The dealer(Ford) replaced the DCT clutch packs and went thru the car completely BEFORE I signed on the dotted line, even included a FREE lifetime power train warranty. I have driven about 10kmi with NO ISSUES. I love the way the transmission shifts, a MANUAL that shifts automatically. I am used to driving stick shift vehicles, would have gotten stick, but Wife can't drive stick. The early clutch packs had bad seals which allowed fluid to get on the dry clutch discs causing problems, the new packs are problem free. A lot of the complaints for these transmissions was due to I'll informed owners that hadn't driven manual transmission cars expecting slush-box like shifts that you get from a hydraulically operated gearbox. This a MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH A MECHANICAL CLUTCH, folks. The sales people should have explained this to the buyers BEFORE they sold the car. Would have saved the reputation of this transmission and eliminating the frivolous lawsuits. Ford did free replacement of the clutch packs for cars up to 8years old and warranty extended to 150kmiles.
Thank you. I just discovered the video. Just bought a 2012 escape and it has the harsh shifting. do you think small automatic transmission shop may be able to handle the recalibration? What do you think about turning the calibration off completely?
I absolutely love your videos they are high quality and thoughtful. Any ideas out there about my 2019 expedition shifting HARD into drive and reverse from a dead stop about 40% of the time ?….
I have a 2011 Expedition EL, 83,000 mi. Had the trans serviced at my dealer at about 75,000 ($250) and I specifically asked for updates, tsb's, campaigns, etc. My battery also died in the service drive. (What fun) Since then it's been clunky and now the wrench comes on. I took it back for a $135 diagnostic, and they can tell me nothing. Help.
*** UPDATE ***
I was able to use a tool made by MAC and was able to perform ut he adaptive table then I relearned the transmission.

Good info!! This guy is awesome, I can't tell you how much I've learned from this guy his videos are great so far I fixed 4 problems on my F150 just by watching his videos.
Our shuttles are based on the E450 chassis, and I love the adaptive learning, especially in tow/haul mode.

Thank you, worked like a charm. And I thought I was having transmission problems
I had that even in my 1999 Expedition, i learn about it the hard way my bad driving habits were costing me around 350 to 400 in fuel a month... i changed my way of driving and had the computer reset at my regular repair shop and things changed drastically...

thank you so much for this video, I am experiencing light upshift/downshift issues with the 8F35 transmission, will try to teach it so it shifts according to my style.

Perfect information and timing'! Could be what is going on with my '09 Flex transmission. Thank you very much.
Very helpfull, my wife and I drive our ford fusion very differently and I've noticed hard shifting when I drive which is not often.
Thanks for your videos. Your contribution to the interwebs has been invaluable.

Ha ha my transmission always behaved weird after my father had driven my car for a long time, now i know why.

Thanks for a very informative video. So going uphill under load during the 6-5 down shift at 70 mph an inconsistent (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't) hard shift occurs on our 2013 Escape. Do you think this procedure would resolve this issue?
Hey Brian,
I don't know if you'll see this or not but, here goes. . (I didn't think to select the "Tow" button.)
I figure that it has to be either a fuse or somehow the Adaptive Tables were dumped/scrambled, but I don't know. The only difference between today and it shifting correctly yesterday is the battery going down overnight (11.8 Volts when I put the jump pack on.)
I called my dealership to ask the technician that normally works the 5.4s and transmissions (A great Guy) but, alas, he has left the dealership and is now driving Over the Road Trucks and the dealership has no 5.4L Dude at this time (One is at school and won't be back for a couple of weeks).
Keith Hailey

Mr.

Thomas F My 2013 Ford Fusions is stalling occasionally while I am in comple stop...

If you buy an used vehicle i recommend to take it to get deep scanned and get the stats reset... a good scanner can be found at a professional shop , the scanner used for example in autozone just tells you basic information...you want a scanner that can go to the main computer memory center... on vehicles computer, he mentions 06s and up but in reality vehicles have been bringing this feature since 1980s since computerized technology was implemented even carburetor models as long as it had that metal box the OEM computer under the dashboard you were set up for trouble...the modules known in trans am and Camaro from the 80s were known as TPI EMC computers.

l have visualized on how to add fluid to extent transmission life for the first time.
What tool/scanner can I use to do this?
Do 96-99's have transmission learning curves?
A very basic one nothing like this.
if it has an OBD2 computer (ECU, PCM...) it has basic learning adapatibility with saved data points: fuel trims, shift solenoids.
Good technology is seemless, not painful.

I absolutely love your videos they are high quality and thoughtful.
Any ideas out there about my 2019 expedition shifting HARD into drive and reverse from a dead stop about 40% of the time ?….
Do you have a video addressing the 2017 and later 10-speed transmission shuttering issues? Thanks. Love your videos.
Yo thank you so much!! Cannot wait to do this to my used Ford van I just bought.
Help. I was a heavy mechanic for forty years, trucks and equipment, and I could never have gotten away with "I don't know, money please". Now medically retired on a fixed income, no clue where to turn. Love your videos.
