Jen Ledger has been the drummer for the band Skillet (Grammy nominated, Dove Award winning) for going on 10 years now. Skillet is one of the largest rock music touring acts in the world. Hit songs include “Monster,” “Hero,” “Whispers In The Dark,” “Feel Invincible,” and “Stars.” At the time of this episode’s release, their current radio single is “Lions.”
Seth Mosley has been working with Jen and wrote songs for her debut solo release Ledger, which released April 13th this year, also co-produced by X O’Connor of Full Circle Music and Korey Cooper of Skillet.
In this episode, Jen and Seth discuss the new record, Jen’s success, and finding true meaning in God (and not comparing yourself to others). Throughout her stories, Jen shares very insightful and useful tips that will help lead you in your own success.

Yes, she is so talented, but it's her faith that is even more beautiful. A vlog she made for Skillet Book Club was one huge reason I rededicated my life to Christ. I'll never forget that. Always adored her voice as well.

Thank you so much Jen!!! You are such an inspirational woman! This was something I have been struggling with for some time now. I've actually been writing some songs with some friends and we're are really not sure what to do.
I love how you explain not to compare. I've been playing drums for a few years now and am teaching myself. I've also taught myself the guitar and bass. I've never taken any lessons so I always thought that I will never be good enough. I'm really struggling in finding my calling from God and have never truly shared this with anyone.

This is so inspirational to me! I have so much in common with her. I just hope and pray God uses me in such a way as He did with her. When she said she struggled so much with comparing herself with others because she couldn't be them but she could be her and people liked her was very powerful to me. Fear, comparing yourself and insecurity are all things I am familiar with. I pray God uses me as he does her. Powerful!

What Jen says about comparing yourself to others and fear is so true. I deal with that every single day, it's so hard to overcome and I never would have known she went through the same exact thing. She radiates such confidence and charisma, I would've never thought she had such fear and doubt starting off. Just wow. I relate to her so much more after hearing that. I got to meet her a couple weeks ago and I told her she was an inspiration to me because I'm a drummer too and after watching this, she's an even bigger inspiration. Jen is my favorite musician in the world right now. Her voice to me is the most amazing voice in the world. She is my favorite drummer to obviously. She is just so kind, sweet, modest and humble. I have trouble with showing emotions. But Jen's music brings them out. All of her music has helped me the past few months with my issues with depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies. Listening to het music uplifts me. Lets me know that no matter what I am not alone. Even if I am truly alone. God is always there for you. She has helped me reconnect with my faith. Her song Not Dead Yet played as I was having an extremely bad thoughts. It helped me realize that those thoughts will not defeat me. The world may beat us down. But as the lyrics says. "I may be broken, but I'm not done I'll go on fighting while there's breath in my lungs". My time to go is only known by God. Until then I will keep fighting and living. So honestly the way I see it. Jen is my favorite musician. She is also my hero. I have not issue admitting that as a 35 year old man. The person i look up to the most besides God is Jen. I believe with everything she does she is making God proud

Jenny you are total awesomeness. I am so happy for you. All the Skilloteirs and Panhead saluate you. Keep thriving, evolving, learning, realizing, maintain the grace of God, stay the course Jenny (steady as she goes). If you have to let it go just remember to hang on to it and just keep taking bites and pieces of it at a time just as you have been doing. I total get your struggle and nothing comes easy but letting it go does allow you to recharge and come with new ideas and fresh prospectives on things. It will not always be perfect but just maintain the dream like a plant slowly grown from a seed. Eventually that plant will blossom into a flower and produce seeds of inspiration for other inspiring musicians such as myself. Stay the Journey as long as able. 👍 👍 👍✌✌✌👌👌👌

Welp. God touched me through this and now I’m trying not to bawl. Jen’s music and her journey have inspired me so much. I’m struggling now with a lot of what she talked about (fear, insecurity, letting go) and hearing her talk about it here and at WinterJam a few nights ago just shook me so much. I had no idea she was only 18 at her first Skillet show, and that makes me feel inspired because I just turned 18 two months ago and I LOVE to sing but have terrible anxiety in front of people. But everything she’s released has had such an effect on my life. I’m pretty sure I semi-blacked out mentally when rocking out to Not Dead Yet the other night. 😂 But that song has become my song. I sang it to myself in the urgent care the night after WinterJam (it and another song) and I didn’t have an anxiety attack like I thought I would. I really think God used the music to help comfort me that night. I wish I could hug Jen and thank her for being such a light and sharing God’s hope like she has. THANK YOU for this video. I’m going to go listen to her EP again and try not to cry my eyes out. Bless you guys!

Her husband (Jimmy Arnold) got onto her thought she had some solo atuff and neeeded to do it if she wanted to... and as always she was listening (to Jimmy's thoughts via her IBM brain implants) or John or Korie Cooper. This was when Jimmy was in trouble with Jen and he told her she needs to do it even if she choses to leave him.... In typical Jen Ledger fashion she was worried and didn't want Jimmy to have to be on the road all the time if she chose the keep him..... Donald J Trump Isaac Herzog Raganough..... She indeed did have some fall into my arms was already wrote and she chose to write some Jimmy hate music and he loved it knew it probably helped her.....
