Take me for example - I admittedly don’t consider myself what would be called overly-religious (although there IS a part of me that believes), I having Spina Bifida - which has confined to a wheelchair my entire life and with me having gone through a good bit of surgeries (25+) and a lot of the surgeries (but not all) were indirectly due to my disability - I could’ve died many years ago but through that, I’ve always felt a higher power has my back.
Keep pushing through to Jesus, keep calling out to him, journal to him. Give him your heart, burdens, everything and let him change all that . Jesus is our defender always and forever. Even when you feel like you have no one you have Jesus he is always there.😊

Wow. I REALLY needed this today. It’s a miracle it just popped up on my RUclips feed. I was at work... trying to interact with customers with a smile, but on the inside I felt like chaos. Anxiety consumed me. I couldn’t stop gritting my teeth & clenching my fists. I stopped to take a break and was scrolling through my RUclips feed, when this video popped up. I clicked on it immediately- not even realizing that it was the drummer from one of my favorite bands as a teenager. Tears of peace and relief streamed down my face as I was reminded of TRUTH: I am not alone. I am not helpless. Jesus is enough, and He is with me. I have absolutely LOVED Skillet for years. I've seen them ROCK Winter Jam a couple times. I just heard Forever or the End & I thought the female was Halsey. So, I had to check & learned it's Jen Ledger. She's an AMAZING drummer, & I love her voice. I remember when she first came to skillet, me and my friends had some reservations because we all loved the old drummer, especially in the comatose CD. When we heard she was an 18 year old, first thing we actually said was "is she hot" lol. Now, I can't imagine skillet without her amazing voice and incredible drum playing. Not to mention she's absolutely beautiful

I just love when God uses the RUclips algorithm to bring me to the exact video I needed to watch. Song battles led to coffee tasting and led to me subscribing and finding this video on your channel. I've always battled a cycle of stress (getting stressed out by demanding too much of myself and not asking God for help or guidance) but never battled anxiety until a 3-month mission trip I did in Japan last year. I thought it was culture shock and reverse culture shock, but it really had way more to do with not knowing the future and not having control over that future. It came back at the end of May and I fought it for a solid week. This past week, it returned and I've been fighting again. Jen's words are so true. I believe God is walking with me through this journey so that I can finally learn how much he truly does love me and just how powerful and kind he really is. Thank you God, and thank you Jen for sharing from your heart! Just get back up. Keep getting back up. Never stay down. Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 34:4

Got ROCKED last night by Jen and Skillet! Such an awesome show! She’s an amazing drummer and has a contagious smile 👍. Great interview. I have dealt with similar issues since 16. Went away for almost 20 years and reared up again in the past 5. For anyone who hasn’t experienced it please know, it’s not something that the sufferer can control in that moment. Be there, support, listen and encourage. And of course pray. I believe it’s a spiritual battle going on behind the curtain.

Jen's message what her song "Not dead yet" really means is that fear and anxiety is very real. Being weak and broken is not a bad thing it's just that we have to push ourselves a little bit harder to get want we want. Its standing up for what you believe in because who will. She says that God gave her this because she was weak but He knew that she could do it if she pushed herself to knock out the fear. I just discovered a quote "Don't assume loud is strong and quiet is weak." it's facing your fears and getting back up when you fail. Failing teaches you to never give up and keep fighting. My ex fiance sabotaged our relationship in fear of her insecurities do to anxiety and fear. I don't hold it against her I still love her as a person. This interview is amazing and is really informative on how no one should see being "broken " as a weakness but an opportunity to rise up and be proud of every internal battle you win no matter the size. Everyone has an internal war, it's the small victorys that count.
Thanks youtube and JENNY, i needed this, i was going to have a concert ( 17 dec. 2019), i had just one song to sing but i was still scared, i still can think and feel about how i felt if i think about it. I saw her perform at Winter Jam a few weeks before this video in Reading, PA and even got lucky enough to meet her after the show! She was amazing, I never would’ve known she was nervous! Hands down she was my favorite artist of the tour.
You can tell Jen has a relationship with Christ just by the way she treats people. She only lives to help people and spread the love of Christ.We need more people like her.

loved getting to hear this. When I first heard the song Not Dead Yet it became one of my favorites simply because of it's message, before I even knew the real story behind the song. And then when I heard the story behind it, I was in tears. I've struggled with anxiety and depression for many years now. I needed to hear this, just wish I could meet you to say thank you.

Got ROCKED last night by Jen and Skillet! Such an awesome show! She’s an amazing drummer and has a contagious smile 👍. Great interview. I have dealt with similar issues since 16. Went away for almost 20 years and reared up again in the past 5. For anyone who hasn’t experienced it please know, it’s not something that the sufferer can control in that moment. Be there, support, listen and encourage. And of course pray. I believe it’s a spiritual battle going on behind the curtain.
Jen ledger when i heard your songs at winter jam i have been listening to you ever since then and your song not dead yet has changed my life on suicide and makes me think of stuff i have been through and makes me realize that it makes me stronger thank you jen ledger for making a song that actually saved my life
I’ve had yet to hear her own solo product but huge fan due to Skillet. Awesome drummer and singer. Respect to her.
Jen's message what her song "Not dead yet" really means is that fear and anxiety is very real. Being weak and broken is not a bad thing it's just that we have to push ourselves a little bit harder to get want we want. Its standing up for what you believe in because who will. She says that God gave her this because she was weak but He knew that she could do it if she pushed herself to knock out the fear. I just discovered a quote "Don't assume loud is strong and quiet is weak." it's facing your fears and getting back up when you fail. Failing teaches you to never give up and keep fighting. Great interview! Very motivating and inspiring. Jen is a great role model to many. Keep rocking Jen!

My ex fiance sabotaged our relationship in fear of her insecurities do to anxiety and fear. I don't hold it against her I still love her as a person. This interview is amazing and is really informative on how no one should see being "broken " as a weakness but an opportunity to rise up and be proud of every internal battle you win no matter the size. Everyone has an internal war, it's the small victorys that count.
Thanks youtube and JENNY, i needed this, i was going to have a concert ( 17 dec. 2019), i had just one song to sing but i was still scared, i still can think and feel about how i felt if i think about it. Jen Ledger really helped me even in past and when i was 11/12 years old i really use to listen to them, now i am 15 years old and i listen less to them but Jen i always follow her, honestly her story is really inspirational, i really got a lot of help from this.
