First album he had an octave pedal, not sure if he still does

For anyone wondering, the lead singer has 2 bass strings, and 2 guitar strings.
He only does that for Hook, Line and Sinker. All the other songs he splits his signal to make it sound like a bass and a guitar playing at the same time.

sorry that they are just a track act without even trying to fake the backing vocals, what can't the drummer just pretend rather that just play during the backing vocal tracks... so many fake bands..

I can forgive you thinking that, but Mike kerr uses so many octave and fuzz effects on his bass it sounds like there are multiple at once. He uses 2 POG2s which means he can have 4 octaves playing at once, so with two of the pedals it sounds massive, plus he uses lots of fuzz, but they play all songs live, I've seen them.

The drummer is playing all those backing track vocals with SPD-SX and multiple drum pads. So this isn't fake.
They're playing their own backing track sounds along real bass and drums parts in fact.
