@@davidtiger I suppose your SIM card works without the cost of roaming in Italy. You should check with your provider if there is any option for cellular and data connection in Italy. Getting a local SIM here is also easy as it needs only to show your ID upon purchase and registration
This is one of your best videos. Very informative and entertaining at the same time which is hard to do. Keep up your excellent work. We appreciate all the information you provide.
Thank you so much. To answer your question is Yes you can buy online through their website, buy from a ticket app such as TrainLine or Omio or simply buy one from the ticket machine.
@@StrollingAround Thanks for the quick response. Three questions though not directly linked to this video. You possibly may have the right answers considering the details you share in your videos. Would appreciate your response for the same 1. How do you get luggage ticket when you travel by subway? Is it similar to a passenger ticket? How do you validate it as you would have entered through the gates using the passenger ticket? 2. Any tips to prevent overcharging by taxis? We do not know the local language. Does telling him in English that he taking a long route help? Do they listen to you? Is there a way we can raise complaints with authorities on specific taxis? Will that be a deterrent? 3. Do we have app taxis at Central and Garibaldi stations? Do they have special areas in the station where they are available?
Thank you so much. You still need to check in from the TrainLine app If you bought the ticket through it. There's a Check In button on the app when you open the ticket.
For the pay and go contactless, you simply tap your credit card on the device, and then on the green device too to validate the ticket? How do you show the conductor your ticket? Great video though, it’s very informative 👍
Contactless payment is available on the ticket machine, from there you get the green ticket (it's reusable with top up as well). Simply give the green ticket when asked onboard by the conductor, make sure to validate before leaving to avoid any fines. Thank you for tuning in here.
Hello! I really liked your videos. I have a question regarding the atm tickets for public transportation. I see that 1 ticket is valid for 90 minutos since you tap/ use it. Weird question, but if I buy 1 ticket let's say in a metro station, can I use it the next day? I mean the validity begins when you tap/use it in a transportation system but not exactly the day it was printed, right?
Hello, thank you so much. And the answer to your question is Yes. The 90 minutes validity starts as you use it for the 1st time either on Metro, Tram or Bus. You can buy a ticket(s) let's say today and keep it when you need it and validity starts when you use it on any day.
Not a good deal, and to be honest in general money changers are never a good deal even in the city center. Better use your bank cards to make payments or withdraw from ATMs for better exchange rates. Careful to always use an ATM from big banks inside the premises
Thank you so much brother 🙏 your channel is very helpful I’m glad I found it ..May I ask you about como trips from Milan ? I’m trying to buy an offer by trenord train company before I reach Italy to avoid the crowd ..the offer includes train trips + ferries but I couldn’t register an account 😢 does that application don’t work outside Italy ? I really need help because the ferries tickets are sold out for the whole September in their website ☹️ what can I do I’m visiting in 2 weeks
Thank you so much. Have you tried accessing the website from your computer browser because certain mobile apps might use your phone location and cause some problems to access or even register.
@@StrollingAround The question was correct, if you use the pay&go (totem next to the validating machines on the side of the escalator) you should not validate it again, you get on the train and when you arrive you use the same card again with which you paid for the ticket. ticket. It is the simplest method
Feel free to ask anything you need to know about traveling in Milan
We are arriving at terminal 2....Is there a train station there too or do we need to transfer to Terminal 1? Thanks
@@kelvindarcy-burt663 Yes there is a train station as well in T2 as the Terminal 2 is the final and starts for the Malpensa express train
We are from Norway.
Do we really need to replace our Norwegian SIM card for tourist SIM card?
