    The ‘CHA FAN’ stands for chassis fan not channel fan.

    Great video but CHA = chassis, not “channel.”

    Am I missing something? Where do you dictate what temperature the fan control should be based off of? I don't want it based off CPU temp but rather a liquid temp sensor header.

    • @stuporman
      @stuporman 2 года назад

      it seems that you can't do that in asus bios. you can try in windows with special software such as "fan control".

      I'm wondering how to do that for my AIO fans and pump in combo too. It's a msi rgb liquid cooler but msi software doesn't detect

      Maybe your fans aren’t pwm?

  • @DjMakinetor
    @DjMakinetor Год назад

    Not work. You can not reduce the RPM, less than 510-520 RPM. So the fans are very loud. In the case Silent Base 802.

  • @LemzT

    can i use “optimize all”? And its not bad for pc?

  • @nick8243
    @nick8243 10 месяцев назад

    Weird. On my PC the Qfan control causes it to be louder and the fans run at 1,200 rpm. When i change them all to silent however, they drop to 1,000 rpm or lower and it's quieter.

    Maybe it's a stupid question, but what exact temperatures are being measured in regards to chassis fan headers and fans attached to them? GPU? CPU? Thanks.

    • @Mygary
      @Mygary  3 года назад +2

      I'm not sure but I imagine it would be the CPU

    • @aerton091
      @aerton091 3 года назад

      @@Mygary thanks for the feedback. I'm still waiting on some parts to arrive so I can't see it for myself yet, but maybe it could be possible to reference GPU instead, which would probably be more suitable, since from what I know, CPUs can easily hit 75 C unlike GPUs and in that scenario fans would unnecessarily ramp up to the max, creating a lot of noise. For some reason Asus keeps curve treshold at 75C when it comes to CPU, which is definitely a bit low.

    • @malazan6004
      @malazan6004 Год назад

      You can actually set what they measure in the asus bios in another section. They are focussed on the cpu temp sensor by default but you can set it to focus on motherboard or both cpu and mobo.

    What are some easy ways to check if you have PWM or DC fans? Do I need to check the hardware or can I test it with the SW? I am not able to click "apply" and the auto optimizer will allow me minimum 60% of chassi fans running all the time... It's so noisy even with zero activity...

    • @malazan6004
      @malazan6004 Год назад

      Dc is 3 pin so smaller plug and pwm is 4 plug. Also in bios if you try use rhe mode on the fan that it isn't it will often run full speed or so something weird.

      you might not have pwm (pulse width modulation) fans or the header you're plugged into is set up as dc (direct current). i think asus q-fan can still control dc fans but not as well as pwm fans - don't quote me on that though.
