Kyoto’s Completely Private Capsule Hotel 🛏 THE POCKET HOTEL KYOTO SHIJOKARASUMA

  • I stayed at the Pocket Hotel in Shijo-Karasuma, Kyoto.
    It is located in the heart of Kyoto, right next to Nishiki Market and within walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and other tourist attractions.
    The rooms are completely private, plenty of space to sleep, and very clean.
    And the price is inexpensive, so I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to stay here for a few nights for sightseeing.
    Prices are at time of shooting.

    • @nntflow7058
      @nntflow7058 Год назад +5

      Kyoto is a medium size city at best. Per square KM, the population density is significantly lower than any other cities. Places like Hanover, Bratislava or Makassar have significantly higher density than Kyoto.
      Hence why it feels much more quite in the video. By Asian standard, it's a small city.

    I stayed there more than 5 years ago, it used to cost double/triple. I guess COVID changed everything. It's amazing how well they maintained it's cleanliness. I wasn't super excited in the beginning because I knew I booked a capsule hotel (also appreciate the hotel for advertising it as capsule, they could very well advertised it as a budget hotel and charged more).
    Entering your own private room, especially after a long day of walking and being tired, you could totally appreciate the privacy and tall room space, which capsules do not offer. I think I showered at cubicle 7 or 8. Everything still look the same in 2022. All in all, I'm happy Pocket is still around and I would definitely visit again.

    It's too fascinating to have a regular system everywhere in Japan. Cars, hotel rooms, streets, buildings etc. are being produced for needs people's can have. Streets are too clean, hotel rooms are sized enough. In public places, there are everything for people. What a country to live.

    Can be noisy as the walls are paperthin
