  • Anthony Berriola, Owner/Master Barber, of Razors Barbershop & Shave in Somerville, Mass performs his traditional Straight Razor Shave.
    Many critics will comment about not performing a second pass of the razor, but not all of my clients opt for it, such as the one in this video. I will happily perform a second pass if my client would prefer it or if I feel their skin type will take to it comfortably. - Thanks for watching

    Yea, it's really a shame that tradition is not valued as much as it should be but it's great to see there is still some left. Thanks for watching and commenting

    Wow! That is a very awsome thing to hear and I thank you kindly. I am not sure what you would like to know, but it is a song about an Italian born in Napoli and wants to be like the Americans. I thought it was funny as I am an Italian/American trying to do hngs as a traditional Italian, and it is a fun song that went very well with this kind of video. Again, thanks for such nice words. Ciao

    I love that song.
    I didn't realize how many old school barber shops are still around until I accidentally came across a random video the other day. Since then I've seen tons of cool looking shops that are keeping this profession alive.

    this is a awesome barber shop. I visited there and got a head and a face shave and was quite impressed with the service. I am a master barber with almost 40 years experience and very critical of barber shops but was quite impressed. keep up the great work Anthony.

    No, I use the talc to help remove excess moisture on the face from the steamed towels and relieve friction. This allows me to wipe away any small hairs that may be "stuck" to the skin and see if I missed anything.

    I like that there are still traditious barbers! You did a nice job! But I think, this painting of the wall, doesn't fit for the whole thing. I mean, while the video was black and white, I had that feeling, that it's comfortable, and relaxing, and at the end, it just broke, and if I were the guy in the video, I wouldn't have been able to relax, and feel good, because the room is just ugly, I think. But it seems like most of the people here like it.

      +INFOCOOL- 2 passes are not common ; however some clients request a 2nd - Usually to go against the grain.

    • @infocool4609
      @infocool4609 8 лет назад

      +Kacy M Look at 2:21 those missed spots on the neck below the chin. If not a full second pass, it was in need of touch up. I used to get shaves at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver in the early 1990's. That man "Curly" was Eisenhower's barber when the president was in town. Curly was the standard. Nowadays it's marginal preparation, marginal products, and a quick pass. Sorry but that's how I see it.
