Seeing the comments about this portraying Glinda as evil, it seems these people may not have actually seen the show - if they had, they would know that the Glinda character develops slowly throughout the play and those paying attention can pinpoint the moment in the last couple of scenes when she actually becomes "good", and when she does she credits the wicked witch of the west with helping her get there. Morrible & the wizard were the real wicked characters, and I'm hoping there will be a sequel where Morrible escapes from prison and attempts to kill Glinda, only to be thwarted by the return of Elphaba. Could even work Dorothy & the wizard back in to it.

@Lahanna Singh Liir was completely left out of the play. There's not even a mention of him, it would be weird to mention him. He was mentioned in the book, but he has no mention of him in the play.

this made it seem like glinda is evil...
well she sorta is in some cases as she at the start and in some scenes focuses on herself and her reputation rather then those around her but towards the end we see her get better and better as she learns from elphaba and learns about herself
Maximus she may not be the kindest or selfless person, but she was never evil or a bad person
when did i say she was evil? i basically explained in a very long winded way that she develops throughout the musical and becomes the good witch we all know in the wizard of oz (at the end of the movie)
Maximus the original comment was "this made it seem like glinda is evil". To which, you replied with "she sorta is....".
And she's developed into a selfless person by the end of dancing through life when she joins elpheba in dancing to stop elphie from being laughed at. True she doesn't become fully selfless until the I'm not that girl reprise, but she develops as a character pretty early on not at the end
exactly, she slowly develops, if i made it come across as that she was evil and slowly made good i didnt mean to, i guess i just didnt phrase it as well as i meant to

One of the best Musicals ive ever seen! So many Highlights and one of them is siriously the voice of the wizard of Oz, The whole Story and Technology and the soundtrack too.... Verry impressive Musical
Love this trailer. Everyone says: Glinda isn't Wicked! No, she's not...but she could be seen as more so than Elphaba. For example, she practically got Nessa killed. She was vain and a brat when she was young, and she took the Wizards side the second act, until the very end.
But Elphaba made her less of a brat. I mean, yes, she was indirectly responsible for Nessa's death, because Glinda was why Boq wanted to leave, which made Nessa do the spell wrong, which made Elphaba turn him into tin, which made Nessa run after him, which got her crushed by a house. But it was Morrible who made the tornado. But then again, it was Glinda who suggested putting Nessa in danger...Okay, Glinda is more so morally grey than morally good. But Elphaba is also morally grey. She kidnapped a girl for shoes and in the book, she actually MURDERS people.
"I'll get YOU, my pretty! And your little dog, too! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!" Best line from a green witch!

I love musicals, and although it isnt quite my favorite, Im definitely gonna listen to it again and again!

Sometimes someone’s reputation and the appearance of someone isn’t actually who they are. Most people are a mix of good and bad. Rumors spread easily and you shouldn’t believe a reputation without proof, but so many people just want someone to gang up on.
