    Plasterboards are not bad but pop is rather flexible as you could have a design of your choice. Pop is more durable than plasterboard, plasterboard is easy to work with and easy to replace when there’s a leak. And again when there’s a leak the pop holds itself well for a long time but plasterboard could collapse easily when there’s a leak.
    In all if you have the money pop is better, it’s all about your pocket/budget.

    In America, not only are the ceilings made of Plaster boards (Sheetrock), almost the entire building is also made of sheetrock.
    They're neater, less expensive and very durable. Don't know why it took that long for it to creep into Ghana building construction.
    Thanks for sharing a light on this product.

    • @aberba
      @aberba Год назад +2

      Because they are inferior in quality. Drywall is significantly inferior compared to pop. Like you said it's cheaper. Same as those wooden houses, they are cheaper

    • @foxygtv1328

      Ghana uses it all the time but mostly p.o.p people who have money will spend on the plasterboard! People spend what's doable for their pocket. If you look at high-end houses you see plasterboard designs and another thing in the USA they use sheet rock to build houses but you don't see a plasterboard design on any ceiling with lighting like in Africa! We always got our queens and king look! Lol 😆 shalom

      @@foxygtv1328 plasterboard is more expensive not because of better quality, it's because it's already manufactured in finished form (less labour intensive) & PoP labour (labour intensive) is cheaper.

    Another divisive topic when it comes to building, Bright. They both have pros and cons. POPs are messy but they are more versatile.
    Anyone can install plasterboard but POP installation is a skilled craft and I think that is why most people talk against POP. Inexperienced artisans making inferior POP. I think better design goes to POP. Fast installation goes to plasterboard.
    In my opinion, POP is better and my advice is if you want good POP, find a skilled Togolese POP artisan. POP is new to our space so there aren’t a lot of Ghanaians who are skilled at POP installation.

    Great video, the plasterboard is expensive much better the person fitting it must know how too because it can fall very easily if not done right. The p.o.p the oil makes it turn yellow or brown later on and you have to touch it up sometimes! it will crack as well! Thank you for sharing, shalom
