Delain won't be a solo project, like it was initially planned after Apocalypse & Chill. Now new and old members will join the band. Delain will release singles in what remains of 2022 and their new studio album in 2023. They will also tour in different countries. I think this comment sort of sums up the situation
He never said he did not want tour. Just not do endless touring the way they did. Do what normal bands do the bigger they get tour for an album then take a break. Between like 2015 until 2020 they kept going on tour after tour. There was never just time off to do other work or just take a break. Nightwish does, Epica does, heck bigger bands such as Five Finger Death Punch, Nothing More and Skillet do it.

They're not Pop. They're Symponic Metal that verges into Pop Metal a lot. Plus the festival doesn't just cover Prog, it also has Power Metal bands & Delain sort of fall under that umbrella in a broad sense.
They have a melodic death/groove metal band playing there next year as while. Progpower has bands from power, prog, and symphonic metal play there. They also have some bands melodic death metal bands play there.
