wow this is really cool! levels from adventure, heroes and even colors with the sega saturn looking models! The multiple play styles and drop dash look really fun! I like how knuckles can still go pretty fast as i wasn’t a big fan of how slow adventure made his gameplay. This seems to be a completely original fan game, but i bet that porting the physics into adventure and heroes would be a really fun mod!
I saw this game on the SAGE website and i thought it was made on bumper engine or smth, seeing this now and reading that it's made on a fully custom engine i can confidently say that I WILL be playing 🙏🙏

Nostalgic, reminds me of the early days of Blitz Sonic fangames. This is huge and I can see this game engine becoming something amazing someday like how Blitz Sonic evolved into Sonic World DX. As a SWDX modder I can say Blitz has lots of limitations and challenges as it is an older engine. This game opens up lots of oppurtunities that Blitz does not have.
I've heard theres an issue for some people with high Anti Aliasing sample count. Try running the Launcher and lowering it to 0 and see if that fixes anything.
Hey dude, big love here, I've been following the project since the first iteration, love the controls. Just one question, I really can't seem to find the emerals for frog forest and seaside hill, could you help me please? I'm curious to see the extras
Hey, glad you're enjoying the game! For Frog Forest, it's behind some boxes after the first really long rail. For Seaside Hill, it's a bit before the 3rd checkpoint on top of some platforms sticking out of the water. There's a lot of green enemies that will shoot at you when trying to get it.
@@ChubbaBubba2 Great I completed the game with the emeralds. Can I ask you, what's the point of collecting them in mission mode? It doesn't seem to unlock anything for me. I'm also kinda bummed some levels didn't make it from the previous game
@@edoardodimario1976 The emeralds show up in mission mode so that you know which levels have them, and also so you can look for them without the risk of running out of lives.
@@lexo632 Nope, all the Launcher does is change the settings in the Settings folder. Once you've changed to the settings you want, you won't need to use the Launcher again and can just run the main exe.
Rolling sucks. While I have a few nitpicks about the functions of the moveset--the base physics are spectacular. I hope the next update makes rolling better, and makes the spin dash to closer SRB2.
I'm not sure what's causing it, but when I try to start the game, the game window pops up and immediately closes. Specs: RX 5700xt Ryzen 7 3700x 16 GB RAM I have tried running the launcher, set the game to windowed mode, lowered the resolution, and used compatibility mode with the same result.
No online sadly. Maybe in the future I could add some basic online functionality that lets you see other players that you connect to. I had that in my first 3d sonic fangame.

I'm a little sad about the lack of a fullscreen option, but the game is nevertheless fantastic!
There is fullscreen, however it can only be set by running the Launcher program.

For the Linux download, what do you write after make?
After you run make it should output the executable file (SAB2.out), then you just run that like normal.
