I just love this channel. No, I am not Jewish but the education I receive here for free can’t be beat. Even the ads are quality and noteworthy. Wonderful job brothers.
As a non-jewish person, my observation for jewish people is: If you want to learn about the money, without any doubts, your mentor should be a jewish. Their wisdom on money, investment, business is incredible. On the other hand, they are super trustful and honest people when it comes to business.
17:30 15 things to be truly happy by Rabbi Joey Haber 1. To be healthy 2. To live a longer time 3. To have a healthy and living longer family 4. To have a good job 5. To have a good income 6. To be married 7. To like your partner 8. To have children 9. To have good-behave children 10. To have good moment with your children 11. To be respected by who you're 12. To be relevant in the society 13. To have a peaceful mind 14. To don't have jealous 15. To have peace in all sectors of living.
I enjoyed this segment.. I am middle class (e.g. ambitious, decent salary, no debt, decent savings and investments + legacy plan) and have a great life. Financial security has always been my goal but never affluence. When I see affluence I am never jealous. Affluence seems exhausting. I am not Jewish, I am African American and non religious.
The question is what are your plans if you become affluent? I keep asking myself if buffet and these guys are as wealthy as they say and will leave billions behind when they die, why don't they help when they are alive? Because alot of it is never in cash.
Thanks for the list of 15 for a good life. #ten is to have children you get along with. May I suggest it’s just as important for the children to get along with one another.
Very insightful. I’m an Assyrian born in Baghdad moved to the States when I was 5. My parents were from northern Iraq. My father had Jewish friends who then moved to Israel in 1945. Our alphabet is the same. Alap, bet… Great show, I’ve been watching several. Keep up the great work!
Amen. I am not Jewish, but I am a person of faith. And it really hit home - that everything we have, even the struggles are miracles. I believe that too. My income and my business are like the manna in the wilderness- it’s like each month or year -my income meets more than what I need- and I am reminded not to worry. It will be provided. I wish more of us would understand how God provides for us. It’s beyond our understanding. Blessings to you Rabbi/ great message.
I’m not Jewish but I love & respect y’all motto about life. I’m starting to fall some thing y’all had said on this podcast because I want to be successful.
Im on an very low salary $14,000. Im so poor. But im working on a better life with education. A good attitude, being smart and work hard you will get you everything you need❤ My life is improving and im so greatful to have a partner i love.
RUclips recommended one of your videos (grandma giving wise advice) and the. Saw this one. I’m floored. Wow. Simply said and full of so much wisdom. Thank you for sharing.
As a non-Jewish person, I enjoy watching the show. I am trying to absorb as much wisdom as possible. I wondered, however, if you could explain to people like me why you say the 'base is high' for Jewish people.
Crisis = 危机 (wēi jī) where 危(wēi) indeed translates to “danger, to endanger.” However, 机 (jī) by itself doesn't really translate to “opportunity”. 机会 (ji hui) means “opportunity”, but an accurate translation of 机(jī) by itself is more like “a crucial point, when something begins to change.”
The fact that we have gotten here is a miracle!!! Count the cost before building a house but dnt dots all the 'i's and cross the 't's. We neeed to leave room for miracles.
Yes its self inflicted. It's ok to admit it. You want to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You said it was a feeling which it is and that feeling came from you. Now you want to act upon those desires. Self infliction
Not the amount of money is raising your anxiety, but the level of danger. If your life is in danger, because you dont have $20 for food, that is more stress, than loosing 100 million, while you still have 300 millions. If you are a millioner, and you are not losing everything you have, your life is not in danger, and that is less stress, you still live in luxury...
I noticed people want things like status and material items when they're part of that kind of social circle. When I was injured in a car accident and didnt feel like seeing anyone for a year, I didnt care about keeping up with the Joneses. Then I had a dinner with some well-off friends and suddenly felt like I wanted a high income.
I only want 5 of those 15 things. I want to be healthy, I want my loved ones to be healthy, an income (just enough to pay bills), and I want low stress and have peace.
I have been single so long that I dont know if I want a spouse. And I didn't want kids. Just passed the practical max age for kids. Being respected would be nice, but I dont need it to be happy. I just want health, a little house in the Pacific NW forest, and maybe a kitty or bunny. And my smartphone.
I came from one of the purest Jewish communities in the world Bukharian Jewish community of Uzbekistan, I remember how oppressed our people were working as cobblers, shoe polishers, and photographers. Most of us couldn’t dream about normal Kosher meal. Local people and Soviets hated our guts and בעזרת השם I was able to graduate one of the most prestigious private Universities in the United States, I had a chance working for largest financial institutions in the world, and having a lifestyle in the United States in the top of 1% that is a true G-d’s miracle. ברוך השם
Thing only thing I would argue is that $372 gas bill feels like $100 million when the person who owes $372 works for the person who took the $100 million loss. The pressure is REAL. Like Rabbi Haber said, the Orthodox Community has People in all Tax Brackets living amongst each other and talking about these exact scenarios. Hopefully someone listening to Rabbi Haber knows a person in Washington, DC that would be open to Rabbi Haber's views on economics. With energy prices where they are, Kosher Food prices are probably INSANE. This is a SERIOUS problem for low income Orthodox Jews. Especially the young Jewish families just starting out.
The pressure cant be the same, because the $370 gas bill is much more important, and much more is depending on it, than if a millionare looses millions, while he still lives in luxury.
Kids will always want what they see their peers have. No amount of philosophy is going to change that. That kind of emotional maturity doesn’t come until they are older.
That's 100% true. However, parents need to be the voice of reason for their children and help them through that without just giving in and getting them everything they want.
Of course parents should help their children process negative emotions. My point was more about the fact that choosing to raise your child in a community where they will have less luxuries than their peers is a very hard thing to put a child through. Kids are superficial and that’s ok.
Ah, okay, good to know that growing up in a rural area, where we grew all our own vegetables, fruit, herbs and had chickens for eggs, we were able to save heaps of money. Planning on moving back to a rural area and being self-sufficient again next year.
So the advise is essentually "have faith"? I very much doubt that big companies (food and drugs, for example) operate according to this advice. They are meticulously planning how to tric costumers to buy stuff they don't need. So a good piece of advise is, rabby, how to figure what you DON'T NEED and how to refrain from spending money on something you don't really need AND not feeling bad about it, AKA happy. I would be interested in your take on this.
While I wouldn't want to criticize the Rabbi, giving a list of 15 external factors that are necessary for happiness is as silly as saying that happiness depends on having money. No person will ever have a perfect life, happiness depends on our relationship with G-d, doing the will of G-d (Torah and Mitzvot), as well as doing good for others, and accepting and believing that all is for the good. We have many living examples of great men/ladies who had basically nothing on this list but lived with tremendous happiness
Loss of money for a Jewish family I believe would be different than musk & bezos losses. They have business losses which are calculated in the cost of doing business, able to be written off. 23:53
Remind me to avoid the doctor who only sleeps 2 hours night! I consider that doctors a real danger to his patients. All our abilities deteriorate when exhausted.
This reminds me of the mana. We got exactly as much mana that every individual needed. Why would hashep give you enough money for three kids when you have two kids? First get married, then you will find out you suddenly have enough money for a couple to live on, if you uave 10 kids, you will make enough money for 10
I doubt Elon worries about his money as much as most people think. When his wealth goes down by stock price he still has his companies and knows their value.
Wealth has a saturation point for the human senses....stay at the sweet spot....i have EVERYTHING i desire but i don't have a big bank balance... The more you own ....the more it owns you and you have to worry about protecting it.... Keith UK.... Ps... if i won the lottery ... I wouldn't buy a huge house and fancy cars ....i would rent em ...enjoy em ...and just keep enjoying the best ... its all about 'use of' rather than 'ownership of' to me

I found this channel last year and I love it. Even how they speak is nice and easy going.

British Quaker living in Japan: the financial and lifestyle wisdom on this channel is amazing!
Keep up the good work and thank you!
I love this channel as a non-Jewish person. Listening from Baltimore. They always speak well to those who need to hear and learn correctly.

Thank You For The Money Morale Motivation 🥲

I'm blessed to have the 15 things and more. God is good
In Chinese, the word CRISIS is written using two different characters put together: one that means 'Danger' and one that means 'Opportunity'
Hiya, thanks for sharing. Is this mandarin or cantonese?
@Abena Asamoa it's mandarin, written as 危机
Crisis = 危机 (wēi jī) where 危(wēi) indeed translates to “danger, to endanger.” However, 机 (jī) by itself doesn't really translate to “opportunity”. 机会 (ji hui) means “opportunity”, but an accurate translation of 机(jī) by itself is more like “a crucial point, when something begins to change.”
Thanks Rabby Haber for your words full of wisdom.
Thanks be to God! Great episode, I'm thankful for where God has me today. ROLL TIDE!
Such a great discussion full of wisdom and realistic issues. ❤
“I’m gonna look fly”
I felt that❤
😂… I’m new to your channel and I absolutely love you and your content! Thank you for everything you do ❤
Love listening to the Jewish mindset. Thank you gentlemen!
The summary on the 15 points needed for happiness was brilliant.
The fact that we have gotten here is a miracle!!! Count the cost before building a house but dnt dots all the 'i's and cross the 't's. We neeed to leave room for miracles.
So true a great talk , I had no idea it cost so much to be an Orthodox Jew wow
If Rabbi Haber wrote a book on his 15 points,
I'm ALL IN!!!👍🏿
I really enjoy listening to the wise advise on this channel. I am not a Jew and it has increased my respect for the Jewish people.
This guy is a realist.
Most jews are and all Jews should be because it's Judaism.
Another awesome conversation! So real and down to earth! These episodes are such a great service! THANK YOU!
Dear beautiful brother you doing a fabulous job love from Raffi

Yes its self inflicted. It's ok to admit it. You want to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You said it was a feeling which it is and that feeling came from you. Now you want to act upon those desires. Self infliction
THANKS FOR THE INSIGHT,GOD BLESS
I listened till the end!!!
As a stoic, it doesn't matter how much I have, it's always enough.
If you have no house and nothing to eat, and your children have no shoes to wear, I pretty doubt it is enought for you.
Thank you for sharing this with us. It was interesting.
I am learning a lot with your videos and with jewish culture. Tank you.
Can you make a video about Tzedakah.
Yes! Love that idea. Thanks for watching!!
I Feel Richer By Listening To These Good Video's . 😂
Amazing interview. Great wisdom.

That is why, we need to be mindful of the company we keep.
15:28 wow these 15 things you need to have a happy life are spot on! Especially #14 🤯
I only want 5 of those 15 things. I want to be healthy, I want my loved ones to be healthy, an income (just enough to pay bills), and I want low stress and have peace.

Yes me too
I agree
That Twillory ad read is hilarious.

I know nothing about Jewish people but wow... their level of community is desired!
Good content, it reminds me of the book the millionaire next door
This was one of the best Pod Cast!
Really good episode, thank you. Really like the analogy with the wheel/circle
Thanks!
Love that 15 list 👌
The Rabbi Joey Haber's hierarchy of needs hahaha.
I saw yamaka and money I trust these guys

This is not what he ment!
You can always find this 375 from your close circle, but nobody can help you with 200b loss from your business.
I’ve never experienced love of money, so Holy God provides more than enough. I don’t believe in parading wealth before the poor.
Kids will always want what they see their peers have. No amount of philosophy is going to change that. That kind of emotional maturity doesn’t come until they are older.

excellent - also great outros!
Amazing episode!
I was the only goyim I. 5th grade in my elementary school. I was raised around an 80% Jewish culture in Southfield -Lathrup Michigan area.

I would read that book.
Great content.
Outtake 🔥
i some times cannot understand what the rabbi is saying. Can you please add captions so i dont miss anything?
There is actually captions! Press on the "cc" button on the right hand corner of the video and it will bring up the captions on your screen.
Why are your adds so funny. Amazing
Just subscribed!
I always listen to the outros.
Then you heard the bonus tips. Kudos to you!
Make sure these all have their boosters up to date
Remind me to avoid the doctor who only sleeps 2 hours night! I consider that doctors a real danger to his patients. All our abilities deteriorate when exhausted.
Love the Menorah reference, but hishtadlus is still required
A summary of this would really help, the points were lost on me.
Excellent

love the show
All Americans are immigrants, not just our community..
I think he meant recent immigrants, their parents moved here
African americans? Natives?
Asians have done incredibly well, too. Its not just our people.
I doubt Elon worries about his money as much as most people think. When his wealth goes down by stock price he still has his companies and knows their value.
He have what to eat and lives in luxury, no matter how much he is loosing. While somebody else is loosing the roof above his head.
