    Man, this place looks like a bass fishing paradise. Being in the northeast, we don't have too many lakes that look quite like this. At least not where I live. It'd be my dream to fish a place like this. The best bass fishing I've ever experienced was when I took a trip to florida a few years ago and got to fish the stick marsh/farm 13 with a relative of mine who lives down there. Good lord was it awesome. I don't know if the conditions were just right, or the timing, or both...but we were constantly doubled up, caught multiple 5 and 6 pounders, and we even caught a tenner. 10lbs, 2 ozs. I remember it like it was yesterday.

    Both me and my dad watch your videos. Whenever a new video comes out and we see each other we talk about it. I'm in my 30s and got back into fishing this year and it has given me an opportunity to spend more time fishing with him again, like when I was a kid. Keep the videos coming!

    Glenn Brown is a true professional! One of my favorite pros on the circuit! I really enjoyed the respect you showed him Scott, when he started explaining to you how to fish the square bill! We all know you know how to fish the square bill however you where glued to Glen's directions like you never herd of a crank bait before! outstanding job!!👍👍! Will say one thing, if you was gona lose a SMC, no classier or more humble gentlemen to lose to!!

    Man glenne was an awesome guy so glad I had the privilege to know him and winning his memorial tournament fishing my first tournament ever with my dad Terry is something I will never forget. I swear he was in the boat with us that day 37.21 with 5 fish and culled 30 times throwing back two limits big enough to still win without the 37lb 5 fish. Love to fish with ya one day Scott if you ever make it up to the st John's in palatka.

    I have not been to rodman since I was 7 yrs old. that was in 1977. live in Kentucky now. I've caught a lot of bass when I lived in Florida. wanna catch lots of bass? try interlachen lake estates. a lot of the smaller lakes are drying up or have dried up. but there are still several to choose from. and they're all pretty close to each other. my biggest bass caught was 15 lbs 2 once caught out of violet lake in 1992. I also caught a 9 lbs 12 once off the neighbor's dock. for fun fishing for mostly 5 pounder average it's a great place to fish.

    Hey Scott, I am not one to start trouble on comments but, I have noticed on several videos that you or your partner doesn't wear a life jacket. In 1993 I lost a brother due to a freak boating accident where the lower unit hooked a ski rope underneath the surface and caused the boat to take a hard left turn. It threw both of my brothers out of the boat and by the grace of GOD, only one brother died. If I can make one plea, please be an advocate of safe boating. I only believe in using them when you are on plane and I know you are required to wear one in tournaments. Please make it a point to be safe every time you are running. Thanks for your time.

    • @jackmoore2733
      @jackmoore2733 8 лет назад +1

      John Baird there's no "god".
      and by "his" "grace" he decided to let just one brother die? why not let both live?

    • @johnbaird7567
      @johnbaird7567 8 лет назад

      jack moore first of all, you are very decieved. GOD does exist and he is in control. Where do you think we get our date/time system from? It comes from the birth of God's son Jesus being born into this sinful world and dying on the cross for our sins. Hence BC "before Christ" and AD "after death" of Christ. If you are right, I have nothing to lose. But if I am right, you have everything to lose. Nevertheless lifejackets save lives if worn correctly.

    • @jackmoore2733
      @jackmoore2733 8 лет назад +4

      John Baird actually, it's BCE (before common era). and AD is anno domini. the 7 day week came from the jews...
      is that all it took for you to believe in such mythical crap? so you have nothing to lose? it's sad that you're that gullible and so easily scared into believing in "god".
      so what makes the Christian religion so different and "right" compared to the thousands of other religions worldwide? what's makes yours so special?
      btw, I didn't search for anything...

    • @johnbaird7567
      @johnbaird7567 8 лет назад +1

      That is so incorrect that even you had to search for a comeback. There is only one true GOD and there are many more reasons that I believe. Nothing mythical about it. I bet you celebrated CHRISTmas last week? If so, you are a fake atheist. The reason there are so many religions in the world is that so many people want things to be so that they can live in sin and still believe that they are going to heaven. There is only one true way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Please don't be so critical of my and millions of others faith. You will one day face the truth and GOD will judge you just as he will judge me, and I would only pray that you have made things right with him before that day. BTW, this will be my last reply. Have a blessed day and my GOD reveal his truth to you soon. One thing for sure, you can never say that you have not heard the truth.

    • @jackmoore2733
      @jackmoore2733 8 лет назад +2

      John Baird man your delusion has taken over.
      and about the Christmas, no I didn't celebrate it, I just went fishing. Christmas also has almost nothing to do with christians anyway. first of all "jesus" wasn't born in December, not even in the same season. and Christmas was stolen from the pagans, which would celebrate the winter solstice every year in December. basically everyone would get drunk and have fun, but then Constantine convert and turned it into Christmas to make it easier for people to convert. also, in early usa colonies, Christmas used to be illegal because it was "unchristian" becuase of the drunkness, raping, etc that would happen. and your Santa was used by Coca-Cola to make them look less bad after people found out they were putting cocaine in their soda, lol.
      so even if an atheist celebrates christmas, it doesn't make them fake since the holiday doesn't eve have anything to do with the actual "religion".
      so you don't even know shit about your own religion, "god" you're stupid.

      Coming back to this video breaks me heart.... My Hubby and Glenn locked in to Rodman from St John's River tourneys they fished together on more then a few times. Glenn was a great person and so sad that we lost him.

      Keith Kelly That's a myth. Read up a little on bowfin, they have a bad rep because of beliefs such as yours. The only video on my channel is a floodplain that gained global recognition for its biological success. That flood water is managed by The Nature Conservancy and their team of scientists know what they're doing. The lake is entirely loaded with 17" average largemouth, 12" average crappie and monster bluegill. The bowfin in the floodplain are protected because of their beneficial presence in the ecosystem. Bottom line, they are prehistoric fish and have been around a long time, simply regarding them as trash is fine, but it's when I see people rip their stomach open or unhinge their jaw and throw them back like fuckin ignorant morons that pisses me off. This isn't directed towards you, just venting and hopefully clarifying some things.

    Hey Scott! I was wondering what your take is on using either straight braid or a braid to floro leader for spinning reels. I'm new to the finesse game and I can't decide if I should just go with straight braid or throw a leader on it. Thanks!

    I don't quite understand why they lowered the water level to dry up the bottom. Could anyone explain this to me? Never been lucky enough to fish in Florida and I'm sure there is a logical reason for it

    I like fishing texas style plastics thru the river and kill em, small to 7# ers. Couple holes in rodman to fli shiners for big girls. A few holes for giant speck 20", 3# plus
