I actually watch videos of Frank Caliendo impersonating him in Bill's actual presence. Great stuff.

I saw Bill and his wife Lori at many Dead and Company shows. Dave Pasch is right. Bill loved talking to people, especially if they joked and laughed a lot. Each time I saw him, our conversation was longer than the previous. I can’t say that he remembered my real name, but he would refer to me as Larry Bird. Bill’s best game of his last season in the NBA came on the night I was born. He loved that. A couple of inside jokes with Bill:
Which team did Jack Straw play for? Wichita State
Who do you like more? Casey Jones or KC Jones?
“Trick question. It’s the same guy.”
What do you think of Dave Pasch?
“I love that guy! Let me tell you, he is the reason our broadcasts do well.”
How much do I look like Dave Pasch but younger?
“Oh, you’re a lot better looking than him.”
    RIP Bill

ESPN initially wanted Walton to do the NBA but with back issues, he did PAC-12 games and was legendary and was allowed to be himself including his clothing
