The best thing about this video is that my favorite band has transcended many generations. My 6yo and 9yo sons have favorites from most Metallica albums. I even got my dad into Metallica. I am thrilled to see that you went one step further than most of your generation and chose to play an actual instrument. Keep rocking! There will always be haters. The only things they can hit you with are words.
I love how I can actually hear your guitar without it being overpowered by the backing track. A lot of other videos I can barely make out the guitar playing vs the backing track. Like lmao if I actually wanted to listen the normal song i would just play the original recording lol, I want to hear the guitar

A lovely young woman playing very nice guitar. I bought the "And Justice for All.." Metallica vinyl album when it first came out in the the U.S. I haven't listened to it since the late '80's. Hearing you play this makes me want to get that album out and listen to it again. You should start or join a band, but please remember the message from the song Master of Puppets...

Nicely played! And also, that ESP is a fine piece of wood. Constructive critics: I suggest you could play with some delay everb at the solo parts. And I also suggest you could focus a bit more on your bendings\vibratos, to bring more "life" into the notes you play.

It's funny, you have this bad ass Marshal head and Orange Cabinet but I liked your tone better on the Line 6 practice setup when you covered Blackened. Funny how that works huh?
The Line 6 sounded amazing on the Blackenend video, I know! I could never ever get that sound again, I remember messing with the microphone a lot before I got it to sound decent. I've played the Line 6 a few weeks ago again for fun, and man it sounds like a tin can! I don't regret selling it. I just got this Marshall new and I think after relistening I can get it to sound better, in life it sounds way better than recorded.
Cizzie I am thinking it should sound damn good. It was probably very expensive. If it's a tube amp then it could have just been a volume issue. I hear you have to really crank those things for the tone to start shining through. Thats why a lot of famous musicians will get those little Vox tube combo amps and play shows with them miced. Even though they're like little 15 watt amps. I was in a band where the lead guitarist did that during practice so he wouldn't have to bring his 4x12 cab.
Charles Ault Oh I know, that's why this is only a 1watt Marshall head. Everybody asumes it's + €2k or something but it's just a 1watter for home/recording use. I still can't even crank it all the way up, my previous Blackstar HT was a 20watt and that was way way too loud to play at our rowhouse. The Marshall was only set to nearly 3/4 gain here and I think I can still do a bit better tweaking the sound the next time for a tighter sound. The amp is very versatile for lots of tones, I love it!
Cizzie Well if that's just a 1 watt amp then hopefully you keep that JUST for recording and you still have something loud for band situations. Unless you don't do the whole band thing.

I've really gotta say, this is...not something that should have been put on the Internet. Really, if you took only this guitar, and removed the backing track, it would sound below par. You're skilled, no doubt about it, but the PRACTICE is not there. I feel like you learned this as fast as possible, recorded it until you thought it sounded 'good enough' and then posted it. You guys, you should really look away from the screen, and just listen to the music. And ma'am, it would really do you good to practice more. Do it over, and over, and over, and OVER, then if it's good, upload it. I hate the fact that so many people are complimenting you on your playing instead of criticizing you, because all of them are saying, "It's good enough, she's a good player, GO YOU!" When you don't want good enough. You want the best you can do.
The thing that is different when she plays is the fact that she is just Jamming. Where as all the other youtubers are doing what you said polish it and play a recording of the song over a prerecorded polished tone....If I want to hear a recording I'll buy the Itunes. I want to hear people play raw. This is how it sounds Raw...it has mistakes is not polished and compressed.
I don't think anybody is under the delusion that this is an ultra-tight flubless performance, including Cizzie. There are even some parts that are obviously executed incorrectly. That said I still find this a commendable performance that's probably just as if not MORE tight that the actual members of Metallica half the time, in case you're unaware of their live performance track record.
