Fantastic! been a huge fan of Numan for more than 30 years.
Sounds like this was one killer NIN show. Great covers all round. Man Trent is a musical genius.
i was lucky enough to catch Numan with NiN at the O2, which was amazing! but seeing Down in the Park is something i wish i could of seen
It's so cool that Gary was able to do this show, and you can only imagine that the guys of NIN were thinking "Oh my God!! Gary Numan is on stage with us!"
i wrote my final paper for my history of rock and roll class at ucla on gary numans influence on modern rock. this video validates everything i believe. well done.

@slessorpr the guys with bass and guitar are members of NIN. Yes the original was all synth but you can easily play the synth parts on guitar and make it sound synth and vice versa.
And such an honor for Trent too!

@BobDoleNSatanRmyniGz Gary Numan wrote and performed 'Down in the Park' in the late 70s. The most likely scenario is that Reznor was influenced by Numan, but it is hard to say for sure. Bowie was influenced by Reznor, even though he was blazing trails long before him.
Er can someone tell where is Trent in the video, is he at the keyboards?
@slessorpr well its better to recognize and be polite about ignorance, some of the people on this page could learn from you. But no, it is industrial rock which means that synth and real music are combined and in some extreme cases you get ambient (music that relies on texture change rather than note and rhythm change) and traditional music on top of that. It's not a wig, it's hair transplants, he started having them done in the mid 80's he lists that as one of the reasons he had to have some of those hats he wore.

@BobDoleNSatanRmyniGz cant be compared, sure Numan's sounds vocally superior but manson voice is unique in its roughness and unmusically tamed but sounds good for Manson fans

Gary was starting to lose his hair in '79. Of course it's a wig. Looks good, though. He should probably just go the shaved-head route at this point, though...
