The R-27ER's datalink also allows you to fire two missiles on one target and then switching the lock to another target once the first one hits to make the second one track the new target.
@Val_Entine1the aim-7eDF from my F4e have the same Problem, i shot 2x on 1x red plane first missile changed target hunted and killer an teammate and secound missile shoot my intended target down. The teammate was Not locked on by me at anytime , ihad Hard lock on the Red plane whole time.
You can do that with Tornado / Skyflash aswell. But it is not useful, Su-27 got a junky radar to acure lock quickly and Skyflash is a junky missile to use it this way.
@@Tjecktjeck Skyflashes don't have datalink. The whole point is to have datalink so the missile can switch to track the new target you select with the radar. Without a datalink it can switch targets but only if something has the same speed as the currently tracked target and has a stronger signal.
It may be bad in the meta but I ain’t got nothing interesting to get so I am researching it. Kinda wish there was like a bank to store squadron points when you don’t want to research stuff

13.0 in general is an awful br to be in rn, you will always be uptiered to fox 3 territory where if you play safe and dodge missiles, by the time you're in range, all of the enemies are already dead or your team are obliterated so youre facing a 1vs10, and if you're playing aggressive, there's a high chance you will just die.
the best thing about the R27s is that while you break lock, and the IOG guide it, it doesnt allert the RWR of the guy, especially useful on the bizon when it gets down tiers, since it face a lot of enemies with SPO 10s
I know this is about the Su-33 but. As I was grinding with the Su-34 to get all modifications, I was so surprised how ET's works so well at those BR's (It's my first ever plane that has ET's/ER's) just flying high, using TWS to cope with no HMD on the Su-34 and lobbing them and watching people panick trying to chaff them. Lotsa fun !
The su 34 is a monster when coming to r27ET. It gets 6 of them and you can carry two radar missiles and the r73. Personally, do not use the r77. R27ER does a better job according to gaijin

Though I just started flying my jets a year ago, your videos and sales guides,...etc have been invaluable. I like to dogfight too and have been hanging around BR 7-11, occasionally will dip into BR13.7 where Ive learned to notch fox 3s, thanks to you. My favorite plane, the Sabre with cannon, and the amazing cl mk 6 smacks the 9.3s out of the air. Also I discovered the Yak 23 this week watching your vids. Have a nice new year.
You forgot to add that the FM changes made the Flanker family not an instant loss at close range engagements anymore, while not UFOs you can at least contest ppl now.

Flight models are a bunch parameters that dictate how planes handle in the air: how fast you turn, pitch, yaw, roll, how fast you go, what's your acceleration, how much speed you lose in turns, how high can you fly, how tight are your turns, etc. In the Flanker family, the planes SHOULD be maneuverable, but really weren't. They would lose all speed in a sustained turn and then fall out of the sky. If the SU-33 followed the old Flight Model, it would be another painful plane to fly. Lucky for us, this patch made some corrections to the Flanker family, which the su-33 is enjoying as well.
The ER iog is so underrated. Iirc it keeps flying for like 10-20sec compared to a few seconds on AIM7. Got called a hacker a bunch of times during the mig29 meta
Su-27 was designed with ER/ET in mind or rather the missiles were designed in the E variant for Su-27 at the same time that the normal variants were for Mig-29.
I’ve been getting more aces in the su33 than the f15e . I was an f15&f16 main . But the downtiers in the su33 are often , filled with f4s , tomcats , and early migs .

Tbh i don't consider this thing fighting 14.0s a lot to be a big deal. Are they better than me, yeah. Do I care, no. My missiles are still mach 5.8 and basically immune to notching and multipathing. They can be "technically worse" all they want, it doesn't stop my flanker from maintaining one of my better KDs if I just choose to not let 14.0s intimate me.

It was very substantial, I'm assuming this video was basically done before it got changed. Doesn't particularly change the way it fights with missiles but you can dogfight the majority of planes now instead of the minority.
Su27s are now capable of dogfighting stuff. They aren't good at it, but aren't bad either. But the su33 Is way heavier, and, thus, is still bad in dogfights
@@ВячеславФролов-д7я from my testing yes but no for the overall maneuverability, it seems that at certain AOA above 16 degrees~ the SU33 generates more lift than the weight it puts on, and the stability allows for a falling leaf maneuver, so while 27-11 are lighter they are much harder to control and achieve the same level of idiosyncratic movement the su33 can achieve. So overall it seems the SU33 is better maneuverability wise but the fight never gets there if it were to go against a j11 or su27
How would you guys grind modules for J-6A? With Mig-15 it was easy to get 2 kills per game 9.3 feels impossible without missles, can't dogfight like in Mig.
I am only able to use the R27s with ACM mode, and obviously that really limits the effectiveness of the weaponry; how do you switch the seeker to use the R27s with TWS, and HMS PD like you are in the video? I can switch to those modes but cannot arm the missile itself, so obviously I cannot fire within those modes.
Defyn, I see you quite successfully launch missiles after just pointing the normal HMD at enemies and ignore them after firing, and other times lock on and then launch, having to maintain the Box on the enemy. Can you explain this?
Just saying, having 8 R27ER and 4 R-73 attached is 3.2 tons of added weight (that's a fully packed courier truck like a Ford Transit capped weight or something) and a bunch of drag. Why do you expect good flight performance ? lol

The Su-33 suffers from the same problem as the MiG-29G. You get a nice airframe, you get good missiles and then you fight Raviolis, Eurofighters and F-15Es and obviously all the 13.7s too. And obviously the F-4F KWS and the Viggen with Fox-3s because they are the same BR. It's certainly not a nice plane to 1v1 anything above 13.0...
Is that Defyn at 9:03 recognizing the F-15A was subpar to both the Gripen and Su-27 prior to the Fox-3 meta? Lol. Being the most played part of the video says a lot. Of course, admitting that doesn't change anything now that the old non-Fox 3 top tier is long gone, but it proves some degree of hypocrisy, and the motivations remain completely unknown.
This thing and the other flankers frustrate me so much, how on Earth are they the same BR as the Mig-29G, literally twice as many missiles on the 33 than the 29G, with quadruple the 27ERs, wtf is that balance man. Top tier needs more decompression again.
Any idea how to make helmet mounted targeting work on realistic controls? The target reticule doesn't follow the centre of the camera, it only moves on an X and Y axis to the horizontal. So if you are rolled 90 degrees and look around, the target reticule will go in the opposite direction.
SU-33 is worth it because you can download Crimson-1's SK-37 camo and pretend that you're cool. Eat that, eurofighters! They may have Fox-3, but we have Project Wingman at home!
it's obvious, but best way to learn to play top tier is by playing top tier. if you're new... just stick with it, and watch videos on how to play it... eventually you'll be having fun with it.

the 27ers like to fly without a lock but they dont do turning without locks, so yes, you can do this, but they are not fox3s

The 80s Soviet MiG-29 and SU-27 should lose ER/ET receive R-73 in case of the MiG-29 and be adjusted in BR accordingly.

“Immune to multipathing” no they fucking aren’t. Every missile is exactly as susceptible to multipathing as every other one.

R73 and R27ET are heat seeking so I just need to point at them
R27ER is a radar missile so you need a lock before you can fire
is it possible for you to try out the thai f16 OCU?
You can fire R-27ER's from 35km? Do you have to be going over mach, above a certain height? That's insane, I've only ever shot them at less than 20km.
You can also launch a missile at 50 km but you have to go up in altitude

The Su-33 suffers from the same problem as the MiG-29G.
You get a nice airframe, you get good missiles and then you fight Raviolis, Eurofighters and F-15Es and obviously all the 13.7s too. And obviously the F-4F KWS and the Viggen with Fox-3s because they are the same BR.
It's certainly not a nice plane to 1v1 anything above 13.0...

Guy who started playing at 2014 and stopped playing around 2017. I have no idea what the fuck is happening at this battle rating.
This thing and the other flankers frustrate me so much, how on Earth are they the same BR as the Mig-29G, literally twice as many missiles on the 33 than the 29G, with quadruple the 27ERs, wtf is that balance man. Top tier needs more decompression again.

Any idea how to make helmet mounted targeting work on realistic controls? The target reticule doesn't follow the centre of the camera, it only moves on an X and Y axis to the horizontal. So if you are rolled 90 degrees and look around, the target reticule will go in the opposite direction.
