    @TheRealTricky 2 месяца назад +8

    5:08 - Important to note is that Crouch jr. was NOT present when Voldemort killed Bryce in the novels. He was only there in the movie adaptation of this story.
    7:20 - Now what may cause Crouch to be off-the-hook is because he demonstrated that on a spider and not a human being. Yet Crouch Jr. is known to participate in using the Cruciatus curse to get Frank & Alice Longbottom into insanity. (Karkarov mentioned it in the movie, in the book it's revealed elseway).
    Now turning the cup into a portkey to get Harry (and by accident also Cedric) into the graveyard is also a kind of kidnapping, if you ask me.
    14:00 - Umbridge did NOT get that locket the legal way. Mungundus Fletcher stole it, Umbridge did confiscate it, now she may have been allowed to do that as a servant of the law, but she kept it for herself, which is NOT allowed.
    15:00 - Just for the note, the presence of everybody in that scene was already illegal, since it was a restricted area. None of the characters had clearance to be there.
    19:57 - The only reason Molly killed Bellatrix was out of anger because an Avada Kedavra by Bellatrix was aimed at Ginny and missed her by an inch. Doesn't that count as an attempted murder?
    One note on Draco Malfoy. He later tried to kill Dumbledore again with a poisoned beverage, which struck Ron Weasley in stead, only to be saved by Harry's quick thinking to get a Bezoar. That's the second attempt to kill, which almost the wrong victim. Similar case as what almost struck Kathie Bell.
    31:15 - Important note! Voldemort did NOT order the terror attack on the Quidditch World Cup. The Death Eaters acted on their own accord. Voldemort was even said to be not happy with it. The movie never mention this, but the novels do. Crouch Jr. actually used the Morsemorde spell to scare the Death Eaters and not the the Quidditch audience, to let them know their actions were not in line with Voldemort's will. So in other words, Voldemort was innocent when it came to that particular incident. (This part of Crouch Jr.'s confession was cut from the movies, but the story was never denied in there either).
    36:05 - Not only murder, but the corpse of his victim was fed to Nagini. As far as I know feeding a human corpse to a predator is also a criminal offense on its own.
    39:45 - Not only an attempted murder on Harry, but the old woman was murdered, so Nagini could take possession of her. Nagini did act under Voldemort's orders.
    Now one last note. Forming a terrorist organization is also a criminal offense, and Voldemort did just that. Membership of a terrorist organization is a criminal offense too. This regardless of your part here. How many years is that for Voldemort and all his Death Eaters?

    I like to correct you on the Barty Crouch Jr cast: Polyjuice Potion is NOT legal. In the books, it's in the forbidden section of the library because it's basically the ID-fraud potion. Whatever you use it for, you're always using someone else's identity. And I guess that it's not punishable in certain cases, like with the Seven Potters when Harry gave permission (sort of), but usually it's not used for legal purposes.

    A useful punishment for Peter Petigrew, I believe, (if he were to persistently harass Ron and Hermione during the Death Eaters' invasion of Hogwarts in the Deathly Hallows Part 2) would be if he were forcibly turned back into a rat by Cho Chang in retaliation of Cedric's death (since Harry would have informed her one way or another). She would, in fact, say with anger "That was for Cedric!" And then Hermione's cat Crookshanks would spot and corner Peter, brutalize him, and then bite his windpipe, killing him before he's ready for the cat to eat (as well as sprucing the coward of any chance of escape once and for all). And then Ron, making up for accusing him of chasing Peter when he was disguised as Scabbers, would call Crookshanks a "good kitty," but in a more astonished manner than pure gratitude.

    I don't know if it's the same in the UK, but it's also illegal to open someone else's mail or prevent them from receiving their mail. Technically it's the use of the unforgivable curses on a human being that gives the user the sentence, but that wasn't explained in the movies.
    "Now... those three curses - Avada Kedavra, Imperius, and Cruciatus - are known as the Unforgivable Curses. The use of any one of them on a fellow human being is enough to earn a life sentence in Azkaban. That's what you're up against. That's what I've got to teach you to fight. You need preparing. You need arming. But most of all, you need to practise constant, never-ceasing vigilance. Get out your quills... copy this down...."

    The only thing with Barty Crouch Jr. and the unforgivable spells, he clearly states that the use of them on another witch or wizard will earn you a life sentence. He used them on a spider not a person. Although in the books he does use the imperious curse on the students to teach them to fight it. It was on many students so you could argue at least 30 life sentences for that although in the end it actually helped harry but its kind of a grey area.
