Congratulation on adding this beautiful piece to your collection, I have this piece too and only had minor issues with the right hand on the joker and its accessories for the most part. The small gap in Batman's cape where it keys in to the body is normal from the leverage of the cape (your gap is larger than mine), I didn't even bother with the rebar pieces nor the boxing glove in the pistol - Id have to glue it in. Lots of negativity around this piece and that's fine by me, I am perfectly happy to add this to my collection. I didn't hear anyone complain about other statues not having steel rods in them like the DKR Batman riding the lightning. My biggest complaint is that I need to add some mirrors to my display to see all the action going on behind the statue and maybe it needs a little touch up to the fire on the cape. Good review, enjoyed it!
Mine had a broken pistol for Joker, a broken smoke stack (the fish one). Joker’s head is wobbly, and the cape doesn’t fit super well (I have the gap that seems common but it’s much better after some vigorous jamming) Sideshow offered a replacement, a full refund, or a $150 credit if I chose to keep it. Some superglue on the gun and smoke and i took the credit. It’s a cool piece regardless
I have this statue too. I think your assessment is spot on. Took me two hours to put this together. There were several pieces, including Batman's cape and portrait, that were very difficult to get in. A couple times I was getting to the point of giving up and shipping this thing back, but they finally slid in. The engineering and fit could have been better. I have a couple of XM statues that were complicated to put together, but I think this one was the most difficult statue I have ever assembled. But once assembled, it is a pretty cool piece.
Mostly banger statue - and another banger review from Maiden Mike! I don't collect outside Star Wars, but this piece (and that Penguin) are the types of statues that would tempt me to have a non-SW section. Happy holidays!
Thanks for getting this out super fast. Awesome work. Ah for me it’s the paint on Batman’s legs - the shading looks really bad. Like plastic looking like you stated.
Mike I really appreciate all the reviews you put out today. Man I love this statue except for the joker portrait. It's too sinister for my liking. But that Batman sculpt is exactly what I've been wanting. Unfortunately because of the joker portrait and the amount of space this thing takes up I had to pass but I bet it's going to look great in your collection.

Looks nice overall, but to busy for me. And I'm not a fan of the paintthey did on the flames, it looks to plastic.
