@@secretagenttau2233 More often times than not, if you ask fans of the franchise which iteration was the best, most will say What's New Scooby Doo from the 2000s was the best of them all. While I believe that the original from 1969-1970 was the best series in the long running franchise, What's New Scooby Doo had the best theme and it's not even close.
While those are in the top 3, the OG Scooby Doo Where are You will always be number for the one started it all, plus it had the most memorable villains.
A Pup Named Scooby Doo was proof you can do a more childish version of something and make it work. Take note Teen Titans Go. Superhero Squad was pretty damn good though, if we really want to deep dive on extra childish versions of things. 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, was a cartoon I loved back in the day and probably the only cartoon that had Scrappy Doo in it, where the character actually kinda fit in and worked.
I keep forgetting they did the theme song for What's New Scooby Doo?! Also can we all agree that aside from Mystery Incorporated this was one of the best takes on Scoob and the gang?
@DavidMartinez-ce3lp Oh god don't get me started on the movies I love Matthew Lillard but man they need to give you better scripts my guy . Also kinda related but I just learned not that long ago he was almost Negan from The Walking Dead. He talked about it on a podcast

I agree for the most part though I think the 1969 theme (never liked the 1970 version) is a hair better than the What's New theme. After those though absolutely
Fred: "Alright gang! It's time to find out who this bridezilla REALLY is!" *removes the rubber mask from the monster* Everyone in unison: *gasps* "The bride's jealous identical twin sister!?" The actual sister, from the back of the crowd: "Uh, no... That's not me..."
I love how it feels so unapologetically Scooby. This is the only theme since the 60's original that is both banging and authentically Scooby for mine. No other Scooby Doo theme comes close.
i cant believe i just realized simple plan sung this. there is vhs footage somewhere of me and my childhood friend who lived next door running around the coffee table of my parents living room jamming out playing air guitar and dancing to this song in like 2002//03.. a few years later simple plan would become one the first bands i obsessed with. yet somehow i never put two and two together until i came across What's New Scooby Doo on Max this morning, as soon as the soundtrack started playing, i instantly recognized and it made sense why simple plan was the first band i really liked.
I never knew my favorite scooby doo intro came from simple plan but as someone who had an edgy phase everything makes so much sense now! 😮 This still slaps, I'd go to a show of theirs just for this holy crap

It's not unnecessary. Scooby-Doo deserves it.
It’s such a fun to play and sing.. fast and quick but quite fun
The fact that they perform this live is so amusing to me.
I'm just glad they released this as a single on Spotify.
